This unit is Synergetic. That means you don't set the voltage, when you set the wire feed speed, it sets an appropriate voltage for you. If you do not like the voltage it sets (too hot/cold) you press the voltage button which allows you to raise or lower that preset voltage by the +/- 5 volts. Newer version only go +/-3v.
So . Cool video . About the welder . Your keft knob is your curent voltage . Right knob is for the Ampere setting. So the curent on 1.0 mm Material thickness is 40Ampere and a Volt curent 0 . Scale :
1 mm = 30-40A
2 mm = 40-80A
3 mm = 80-120A
3.5 mm 120+ A
The Voltage curent is used to correct the flatness or the hight of your weld .
If you use the correction in - don't go underneath-3 .0 V
The same for the + .
Max 3.0V
I bought this machine for my dad so that he can hawe some fun welding stuf .
I my self bought a Yeswelder 205 D and I am a certified Mig Mag Welder.
I thought i can share my experience with you because it seems that even the US machines are metric and I know that in the US the system is mostly Wire speed and voltage. I hope I could help you a bit with my experience.
Welders cheers to you guys!
Joe from Austria 🇦🇹
Half welding tutorial, half motivational speech… I like it! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thank you for watching! Glad you liked it!🙏
Just bought this and couldn't stop from using it right away. This is a GREAT beginners welding machine (bought it for my Grandson). It does the job IF you are patient enough to figure out the amps and voltage for whatever you're welding. You pretty much can quickly figure what settings work, write them on an index card and tape it on the inside of the side door. PERSONAL NOTE: THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF! BEAUTIFUL welds Dude. You can sure tell the difference between the DIY welder and a PRO. 50+ yrs of experience and sure wish they would have had equipment like this back in the 60's-70's...but like YOU, wouldn't change a thing about what I've learned, both good AND bad.
Thank you good sir! And thank you very much for watching and listening! I appreciate these comments very much!
Yeah Fr Thanks Brother , and very very well explained! Looking to get one and start welding Thanks a lot for sharing with Us
@@dc_andrade was there something I’m missing on mine it won’t go above 3 I have it hooked up to a 50 amp breaker single pole and it still won’t go above 3
My flux 135 only goes from -3v to 3v. How? How do I get one like yours?
You have some of the best communication skills I’ve ever witnessed. There was no part of this that wasn’t clear, concise and easy to understand. Thank you. Subscribed.
Just got mine in today. For $89 this thing is absolutely nuts. Runs 0.030 as well as my Hobart Handler 190 that was $600 and weighs 68lbs. Probably doesn't have the lifespan of the more robust and expensive welders but fir what these go for on sale you can buy a pallet of the damned things....and the pallet weighs less than one other the other machines to boot. For heavier work I'll still use my hobart but for fixing broken stuff, this thing is just the ticket.
Good enough for handrail job?
@@summerforever6736 Absolutely.
Definetly @@summerforever6736
Yeswelder is stupid light ain't it? Couldn't believe it when I picked it up thought it was a toy 😂 she burns great though
I bought a 110v Amazon welder. I don't know anything about welding, this is my first experience with it. It struggles on thick stuff, does great on exhaust pipe and that kind of work.
Hey brotha! Thanks for the comment! Are you running it off your house power?
"Don't be afraid to F sh!t up."
Best advice ever ... for a lot of things!
Well done. Thank you for sharing your expertise with humility. You are helping !
This welder will work fine on house current as long as there isn't a bunch of other stuff running off that circuit. My garage used to be wired with 15 Amp circuits and my Flux core welder suffered from that since the same circuit had all the shop lighting on it as well as a large floor fan. This caused my welder to stutter. A few years ago i rewired the garage with 12/2 Romex and new industrial 20a outlets. Oh.. and 20a breaker. I also have the lighting on its own circuit now. The welder runs great with zero stuttering.
Thank you for watching and thank you for the great info! I definitely learned something from your input.
This guy is the best! He should teach! Wait a minute, he is!!!!
Thank you
Thank you brotha! I’m hoping to get a few more videos out in the next couple weeks! I’m glad you learn something!🙏🙏
Will work fine on house power. As long as you don't have that circuit overloaded with other things. Tvs, microwave. Basically, it's better to use a dedicated outlet. An unloaded 110 20 amp outlet would be fine. Your transformer in the mastermind behind converting the ac energy to DC for welding. You definitely need a generator unless you're in the middle of nowhere and need power
So like a garage outlet?
Just bought first welder. Thank you for this great video.
I run mine off 6500 watt and love it.
Tons of great usable information. Thanks for
posting this 👍👍
Flux core can be for steel, mild steel but aluminum. With flux core made for aluminum, Will is work with aluminum as they (Other Videos) to use one size larger gun tip to reduce resistance to the soft wire. While reducing drive wheels. I bought my 150AMP MIG in 1984. Retired ASE Master Tech. Last job of fabrication.
03:26 These machines usually set the voltage automatically in relation to the amperage. The +/-5v is from that baseline to allow for fine tuning. The middle (normal) position should be a 0 volt change from the base setting, while high is +5v and low is -5v. To get +2v, you have to guess and put the dial roughly just shy of half way from normal to high. Sadly, they don't specify what the real (baseline) numbers are nor do the numbers with the knobs usually correlate. Their tech support/customer service either doesn't want to give this info out, or doesn't know it.
I have a similar machine from Amico that has a few more features (gas capable, spool gun capable, 120v/240v, better duty cycle) but slightly less adjustment (±3v) and a bit pricier. Regardless, for what they cost you can definitely get some decent welds if you take the time to practice with them and figure out what settings do what. Mine is picky on flux wire...Forney and YesWelder's stuff runs the best, while the Vulcan wire is absolute junk on it. Lincoln's is only slightly better than Vulcan.
Try blue demon .030 on 1/4" plate at 2.2+ 132m/m I had almost no spatter and a perfect weld.
Thank you - so far, you are the only human to half way be able to explain the idiocrasy of the welders dials.
Isn't it the year 2024??? And these companies can't specify with technology what the volts are?
6:30 you say fck sht up. You admit wasting thousands of dollars on materials.. that self deprivation earned you my sub. I'm a self-taught welder, amateur at best. But I was given the opportunity to play with a welder and figured it out enough to build my own 3" question-mark shaped Downpipe for my turbo project car and it's held up for years. If this $100 can do that, I'm buying one immediately 👌👌🙏🙏
I would only add that to do something as thick as 3/8" with a flux welder designed for 3/16" maximum, I'd preheat the metal for a minute or two with Mapp gas torch, especially if it's 60F or colder out. I did this a lot with a HF CE-170 when building outdoors in spring and winter.
Nice video bro. I just bought this. Never welded in my life but want to learn. Tired of epoxy and wire lol.
Thank you brotha! 😂😂 definitely a helpful skill to learn! Good luck man! Any questions feel free to ask!
Hey there bruv, this was a great review. I have one of these on the way and I was concerned with the performance due to the price. I have only used my OG 240v stick welder in the past as well as a gas powered generator welder. This video gives me a lot of confidence in this machine as I only need to repair a lawn mower deck for now.
I will also be trying to power this off of a predator generator and I hope that works pretty well. Anyway, I am rambling now so I will shut it down. Hope you are having a baller weekend. Cheers.
I'm buying one of these tomorrow on Black Friday sale.. They are $159 minus the 15% off. After looking around at all sub $200 welders I don't think you can beat this little box. BTW, my main rig is an Everlast MTS 275. It's way too big to haul around. I wanted something small and portable like this.
$89 on Amazon. Down from $99...
@@ItchyKneeSon I wound up buying the YesWelder YWM-160 for $159 on sale. Couldn't beat the added functionality of gas MIG, DC TIG, and Stick. Flux only just doesn't cut it for me.
Thank you for the video I'm just starting
GREAT video, now I'm going to get one off Amazon 👍🏻
Thank you great information will be doing the same thing myself
Great video, told me what I needed to know about this welder
Was there somthing special you did to get it above 3 mine will go to 3 and stop I need it higher but it won’t go
Love this welder.
jesus dude youd be an amazing teacher
Thank you brotha! My goal is to one day retire and become an instructor! I get a great joy from teaching others tips and tricks of the trade. Stay safe out there!
Excellent review packed filled with valuable welding knowledge. Thanks a lot!
One question, doesn't this welder also support stick welding? It would be nice to get a review of if its stick welding is any good. I'm curious as to whether stick welding allows for welding thicker metal than flux core, or if the thickness of the metal is just based on the power outputted by welder regardless of if flux core or stick is used.
Thank you very much! Yes I’ve ja a few people ask about the stick welding function. I am working on a video I shot at work on tips for fitting so I’m hoping after I get that video I can focus and record the stick welding function and performance! Thank you again!
We are patiently waiting for that stick video 😉
Just bought it a month ago and having fun with flux core. I would like to see a video with stick also.
Would 3/32 stick work better on thicker metal than flux core?
found out the left knob is for voltage and right knob is for amps. i have a copy of their recommended settings for the thickness you are working let me know if anyone need it.
I definitely could use em..
@@offroadman8387 send me your email so i can give it to you

Nice looking welds for such a small welder. Pretty suprising. I just bought a Forney Easy weld 140 Fc-i. Don't really have a generator and was hoping it would work fine on my house power but I guess we will see. Great video
Thank you for watching! It will work decently on up to maybe 1/8” material but even then I can’t guarantee the duty cycle will be as reliable. Thank you and good luck! Let me know if I can help out anything else.👍👍
I bought one of those 2 months ago and it work awesome 👏
@@rogelioponce4997 awesome man! Glad it worked out for you!🙏
What about ona 20 amp outlet?
I just got one of these after Titanium bit the dust after 3 years
biggest problem I am having understanding is the voltage knob - mine goes from _3 to 3v???
Older ones seem to go from -5 to 5 v ??
The booklet and chart show different voltage ranges like 19.2 and up
so how in the world do you adjust that
Have you figured this out?
@@thekillfrenzy7842 Read my reply above.
Very good video!! it helped alot. Thanks
did you use a 240v adapter when you plugged it into the generator
I try push and pull. Push is more penetration. The only time I pull is stick welding sometime you have to push
Hello, thank you for the comment. Pushing with fluxcore can be ok with home projects or maybe weird hard to reach places. But if testing or on a joint that will be UT or Xrayed I would not recommend it. I Can almost guarantee you will get slag inclusions maybe even lack of fusion. But other than that, I recommend you experiment with it as much as you can.👍
That’s impressive for 110v
thank you. very useful information
second knob is AMP/speed adjustment
Great video. I'm just getting into welding and I'm still confused if I need gas to flux weld and what kind of wire I should buy for flux welding
Hello, and thank you for watching! For fluxcore welding you don’t need any gas. If you go on Amazon and search “Fluxcore gasless welding wire” you’ll find what you need. They pretty much only have 2 sizes 0.30 and 0.35 just make sure to check what size welding tip you have on your welding gun. Hope this helps!
Interesting. My new YesWelder Flux 135 will only go up to 3.5 for the voltage setting. Wonder if they changed the software?
Mine also
Great video and commentary! I want to buy this welder, however, my question is what size rod to use if I'm patching up 22 gauge metal on a 1984 Cadillac 2dr? I used a sheetmetal gauge on some scrap metal from another Cadillac of the same model and its 22 gauge. What do you suggest?
Thanks for the share !
So this welder isn’t recommended for house outlet only generator?
I wouldn’t say not recommended but I could just say untested on my end. I guess it all depends on the situation I’m renting so I can’t really use the house power as it will raise our electricity bill.
Thanks for the video my man! Loved your energy ✨️ 👏. I
I got the same welder and I am having to play with the dial in process to figure out where Normal sets as to the voltage in numbers go. thought I could find out on youtube. If you figure it out pls update. If I don't find out before you, He He.
Thanks for the vid.
Yes that’s the same problem I had. I’ll try my best to get an answer. I might just message the company and see what they say about it. It is a weird dial setup. Thank you for watching!🙏🙏
I was wondering about this brand and model of welder. I was concerned about the $95 price on Amazon. It seems like a good unit. Thanks! DM
Thank you for watching! Yes it’s a very dependable brand for the price. If you get a few jobs done with it, it basically pays itself.
I just bought the Yeswelder Mig 135, I've heard that reversing the polarity of flux core welders helps make cleaner bonds and less spatter. Since this is advertised as mig tic and flux, and has the plug for stick welding I'm not sure if the polarity switch is necessary on this machine. Have you tried it in reverse mode?
@fartpooboxohyeah8611He's talking about switching polarity. So, ground is +. Many other videos, especially on those that address the Chicago Electric (Harbor Freight) 90A/125A AC flux core being converted to DCEN.
Others have said *MOST* flux core was designed to run DCEN and welds much nicer when used as such.
Reverse polarity is built in. There is no way to switch it up, or need to.
Ive seen people cover the holes on the tip with teflon tape why? Also would electrical tape work too?
Any recommendations of generator size I would want to buy for this? I really don't want to use household lines for it.
Hello, and thank you for the comment. I would recommend at least a 3500 “Running Watt” generator to power this welder. That’s the size I had before and was great for small projects and practice. Hope this helps! 🙏
Great video and thanks for sharing! Was anyone able to find a settings chart for different thickness for this welder?
I was wonder if i could weld 1/4 plate for a griddle , thanks
Thank you for watching! If you’re running off a generator I’m sure it can. Off your house power I wouldn’t be entirely sure. Might want to run a few practice plates before
Where do you get the band saw? Thanks
Hey Port Chop! Sorry I forgot to add the link for it. I picked it up off Amazon I’ll drop the link below.
Anbull Portable Band Saw with Upgraded Removable Alloy Steel Base, 45°-90° Metal Cutting, 10A 1100W Motor, 5-inch Deep Cut, with .025-by-44-7/8-Inch 14 TPI Saw Blade and Led Spotlight a.co/d/azsHvY6
I need to repair the frame on my Tacoma . Will this welder be sufficient for this repair ?
Hello and thank you for the comment. If it’s key structural section of your truck frame I wouldn’t weld it with fluxcore. I’d want the cleanest weld in the so I would use a MIG or TIG. The TIG might be a better but also depends on the thickness of your frame. Im assuming 1/8-3/16 thick it would weld it fine. If it’s not structural fluxcore could help. Try and make sure your base metal is clean. Hope this helps!👍
How often do you use this welder? and Does it still perform the same like new? thank you
To be honest with you I just use it to mess around and record videos. I haven’t used it on a job, but I have used one similar and it runs decent with a good amount of power behind.
Can this weld thin metal for auto body?
Is this welder electrode negative dc
Can you show the stick welding function, thanks 👍
Hello, yes I can. I’ve been planning to do a test run video with stick welding. I’ll try and make asap. I’m curious how it performs as well.👍
@@dc_andradeI was wondering what brand flux core .030 wire did you used in this video, because at layed down some really nice beads, thanks 👍 looks good
Could I use a 50 amp outlet with a 15amp to 50amp adapter?
Hello, I’m not too sure on this question but if you’re for sure it’s a 50amp outlet I don’t see why not. The machine should be able to transfer the power evenly. Just keep an eye on your leads to be sure they aren’t getting too hot
can i use extension cord on this welder plugging it in to a 110v house outlet? if yes what gauge of extension cord should you recommend?
Hello, I’m sure you can. The only downfall would be maybe getting arc drop from the longer distance the electricity has to travel. But I believe I have a 14gauge extension cord here in this video and worked out fine no heating up issues. Hope this helps. Anything else feel free to ask!👍
I'd go with a more expensive 12gauge extension. 12 is what you'd use for a 20amp outlet, 14gauge would be like a 15amp outlet. You can push a max of 2400watts on a 20amp outlet, vs a max of 1800watts on a 15amp outlet for reference. I'm assuming this welder is using a ton of wattage probably over or close to 1800watts
Liked and Subscribed. Good welder test.
Anyone know how well this welder works on autobody work?
Thank's in advance
Hello, thank you for the comment and sorry for the late response, I wouldn’t use the fluxcore setting on autobody unless you’re really comfortable using fluxcore on thin stuff. Maybe the TIG would work good, only thing would be the scratch start making a bit more difficult to start and stop. Maybe try on some piece of thin scrap first. Hope this helps!
This is the second person I’ve watched today welding with out using their noozle on the MiG gun smh the noozle is need to push the gas to your puddle
Bro, it’s Fluxcore. There is no gas.👍
hello, have you tried it in lift tig?
does it work in that mode?
Hello, I have not tried it yet. I Can give it a shot this weekend and let you know how it performs though. No problem👍
Hello Mik, I know I said I would try out the TiG welding setting this weekend but I realized I need a connection reducer for the TiG torch. I ordered one on eBay so I’m just waiting on it to arrive and I’ll give it a shot. I’m very curious myself as well to see how it performs. I’ll be in touch👍
@@dc_andrade Thank you very much friend for providing the information, I am thinking of buying that machine, but first I want to know if it works in lift tig, I appreciate your support
Hey, so I tested out the Lift TIG this weekend and it works great! I’ll be sharing a video pretty soon on how it’s set up and how it performed.👍
@@dc_andrade Thank you very much!, I am only missing the argon tank, based on your reference I no longer doubt that YESWELDER flux 135 is a great machine, I will see your video with lift tig
We’re you using argon?
This is flux shielded. No gas.
I got the same machine, I’m curious to see how well it will do TIG.
I’ll try and test it out one of these days see how it performs.👍
it will probably do OK if you're any good at lift starting. If you want to TIG, i'd buy the Yeswelder TIG-205DS which has a foot pedal and high frequency start so you wont contaminate your welds with tungsten. The jump from Flux wire welding to TIG is very costly since for TIG you MUST run Argon gas. I recently borrowed a friends $1k Lincoln TIG and massive bottle of argon that must have weighed over 150lbs and spent a week learning. I picked it up pretty quick but you definitely need to have good coordination since you're doing different things with both left and right hand and also operating the foot pedal .
Great job 👍 can t
Thank you! And thank you for watching!
BEWARE: YesWelder will not service or support anything not purchased through their official YesWelder stores. If you need a part and don't have an approved purchase invoice, they will not support it. No parts are available on their website. THESE ARE DISPOSABLE UNITS.
Mine doesn't adjust like that.
Hello thank you for watching! And by “adjust” do you mean the voltage setting? I’ve been noticing these machines vary a bit different, I’m assuming from them trying to update their product.
Is the yeswelder 135 ac or dc?
Hello, this is just a DC unit. You won’t be able to weld aluminum with it.
@DC Andrade Awesome, I just bought one right after you replied! Can't wait to start learning stick and flux! Thank you!
Can it run mig?
Na man. Fluxcore, Stick and TIG. With TIG you need to attach a torch that has a knob to turn on and off your argon gas. That torch is connected straight to your argon tank regulator. Hope this helps!👍
Definitely don’t use an extension cord that long.
I thought yes welders are made in America
Hello, and thank you for the comment! I’m not entirely sure but I’m guessing no. I know the owners live over in china so i assume their built over there maybe just stored here? But again, just a guess. 👍
You really think using a generator is cheaper than house power?😂
" I hate anti splatter spray idk why I just hate it" really dude if you've never used something just say it
I’ve used it plenty of times. It works great, I just don’t like having to weld all oily or wet.
@dc_andrade idk why I put so much attitude in that first post. I think I was having a bad day. Your video was pretty informative I bought the welder and it's been decent 👌
@@theghettocop69 no worries at all bro! I know every welder has his/her own style for sure!👍👍
