Hi there, I have a very similar CCTV system. I want to set up one camera near my motor car (I have an open garage) and am thinking of using the motion detect option to trigger an external siren alarm. The option where you can select certain areas of a camera image is very useful for that. Although the relevant option menu provides for a buzzer I do not find any output at the back of the unit related to some kind of relay output, for instance. Does anyone have advice on this matter ? I will really appreciated this. Thanks !

Thanks for the comment much appreciated. Now that's an interesting question. The NVR can pick up other cameras if they support onvif and the cameras don't have to be connected directly to the NVR as long as it's on your home network it will work.
+dug948 it's a good system, operating system is the same as the azone and annke systems, so simple to use, and build quality it good the only then I didn't like is the picture quality. It is fine but I'd go for a 1080p model. In comparison they are all very similar becareful with the small print with some of the systems they sell a 1080p recorder but the cameras are a lower resolution like 960p. Hope that helps.
anyone can find dvr that is designed with more space between each port? Mine is 16ch and it's very difficult to rearrange the cables because it has very tiny space.

Did you email me regarding this issue? So a couple of things to check first is the ethernet cable connected to the system? Once the cable is connected do you see lights flashing at the back? At the network part on the setup configure a static address so this would mean type in the IP address yourself so generally they would be 192.168.0.xx XX is a value you can put in subnet would be 255.255.255.0 and gateway would be 192.168.0.1 you can check the address your computer has by going to CMD and typing ipconfig /all this will give you a example of what your pc is using. Hope that helps let me know how it goes.

I have tried DHCP, static, changing the IP, changing the DNS servers, changing the HTTP port and port forwarding it in my router etc etc. Nothing doing. Could the NVR be faulty? That's where my thoughts are heading. It's not expecting the WAN or public IP address is it? Thanks again.
It's not expecting an external public address I'm sure about that. You are seeing activity on the enternet port right? Stick to static address but maybe for the DNS put in your router address or even leave blank. Also once you get the error hit the retry button a number of times. Wait around 2-3 sec i between each retry. Let me know how it goes.
Hi, Not working I'm afraid. I may be at the end of my tether. As a last resort I've emailed support for firmware upgrade, though me thinks I'm barking up the wrong tree. The network card in the NVR could be faulty, so no amount of haggling in the software can remedy this error. I am really thankful for you taking time to respond. Take care.

I dont want uae mine on net i have a monitor and got a harddrive for atore recording which was surgested. But i dont know how to set up the hard drive as there is no were to plug it in. Im total novice

How did your Sannce one fare? Is it still working? The big problem with all these budget kits is how long they last. You see so many reviews on Amazon where after 6 to 12 months it's all failing or falling apart. Hard to know what percentage work for a good few years.

Both DVR and NVR can be can be confusing but DVR is digital video recorder meaning your recording is stored in a digital format on a hard disk. NVR is network video recorder and this is where you can access the footage over your home network or remotely over the internet. Manufacturers interchangeable between the 2 but but to check the spec of the system and confirm what it's capabilities are. I hope this helps.

Mine still says login and password and I try to and it says it’s the wrong one I’ve done it 100 times I know it’s not wrong any suggestions
