Dear Peter, it is great to know that you have received a successful treatment and that you are feeling much better. Please take care and be back in full! I cannot imagine a Friday without your video!
That 20 million dollar blue charger that was purchased in Ottawa on December 4, 2013... I was there in that auction. What a memorable day! The lot 286: "CHINESE BLUE GLAZED POTTERY DRAGON CHARGER, possible QiaNLONG or earlier; the field decorated in relief with a central scaly three-clawed dragon and pearl motif, the cavetto with three prunus sprays encircled with a shaped rim, 16 in, 40.5 cm diameter Estimate: $700/900" Only two persons were bidding on it: one - in person, another - telephone bidder. That was the first time in my early auction history when I saw "the sleeper" being sold.
Good afternoon Peter! On the image of the immortals, there is a wax seal on the back side. What does it mean? Do I understand correctly that this means that the item was released from the country by the relevant services?
I love the chinese palace carpet. On another completely different subject what did you think of the ducked tape banana artwork that sold for over 6 million dollars and the Jeff Koons four old vaccum installation that sold for millions this week? Personally I think so called art experts and prestige auction houses are shooting themselves in the foot with these ridiculous so called artworks and will eventually lose their gravy train because of it. The artist does give permission for the owner to change the banana after it rots and says he's selling the concept of having a duct taped banana but I fail to see why anyone should even care about such a ridiculous concept.
Peter, thank you. Glad to hear your dental problem is improving. Hope you will recover completely soon
So glad to hear you are doing well! Take good care!
