It's so lovely youtube have been promoting and sponsoring the disabled community. ♿😁😬😬
I have the exact same idea and might be collecting some used parts in near future
Also how would you fix if anything were to happen to the hanger
they make a tool to check your rear derailleur hanger to make sure its not bent. usually if its steel or aluminum and not way out of wack you can bend them back straight enough to work just fine..
Hello, I liked your video. And in more detail, do not tell me what width of the tire you used to install the wheel in the frame
Nice video! I'll try and see what comes out. Please next time turn off the radio/tv!
Thanks for watching. Noted on the tv.
Is that an old 26er mountain bike that is V brakes/ cantilever brakes ready only? Also how did you put the brakes for the front tires?
Yeah it came with vbrakes, but they won’t work with sti shifters. Going from a 26in to 700c the cantilever brakes wouldn’t reach the braking surface even with an adapter. I had some long reach road bike brake calipers, and was able to mount them into the fender mount holes. I did have to drill them out just a little wider for the brakes to fit. Thanks for watching
@@dropped3540 so i need to just a long reach caliper brakes to use a 700c wheels right?
@@hakushakuhachiroku2873 I’m far from being an expert at this, but yes the long reach calipers worked for me.
I used the same road calipers for the front. I finally have it finished the new video is out if you haven’t seen it
im looking new frame, my old frame just broken , my hybrid bike size xs with 700c , now i want buy new frame 26
I have one
good luck on your search...
Good problem solving
I have Raleigh Mustang MTB.. im planning to try 700c wheels if it will fit too
good luck, let me know how it works out... thanks for watching
I've been riding sloped mtb frames since 89' and now all the genres have that style and geometry likeness...this is my jam , dialing in some old rigs for repurposed thrashing. Flat bar 26 are boring unless suspension...im don't ride like a MX head anymore so the in-between is best...and wide open with options ...I like a the new tech but don't have disposable income
Thanks for the video. Just what I really need. Planning to convert my 1991 Falcon Bear Trap from 26 inches to 700c. What do you think on it sir? Any suggestion will be helpful for me.
sir, can I convert my 26er mtb frame to a full roadbike? what are the issues I'm gonna encounter? sorry for my english sir thankyou.
yeah, you should be able to. If your going to convert to 700c wheels, you will have to see what brakes and mounting style you will need to use. If you are keeping the flat handle bars and shifters, v brakes will be fine, but if your converting to drop bars and sti shifters, the pull ratio will be different, so you would need canti or caliper brakes, and pry need a matching rear derailleur. so it is possible. If you have extra parts and time its a fun project. Or just extra money to spend.lol.... Otherwise you may be just as well off looking on facebook market place for a deal on a road bike that is ready to go.. Thanks for watching, and i'm hoping to get the final build video for my conversion up soon.
So that means I’m perfectly fine with a disk brake frame
@@grindeyyyyy you will need a disc wheelset and just make sure you get the correct brake calipers for whatever style shifters you use
did you need to change the 26er fork to fit the 700c wheel?
No I didn’t. It’s still the original fork
Do you think 700x23c can fit to 26er Standard Frame?
Hard to say. It’s one of those things that you just need a set of 700 to mount up into the frame to see. Front will pry be fine it’s usually the back that can be the issue depending on the dropouts
Can you sponsor meike your bike?
Good product and appears well made. Easy to use.
Convert it into disc brake its less hassle just buy disc brake adaptor
You also have to have a set of disc wheels
@@dropped3540 And preferably caliper mounts on the frame...
Or change hubs to save expenses
Do you think 700c x 23 or 25 can fit into any 26er?
no, if the front fork has a shock it may not fit. and some frames have different widths in the rear hub. older mtbs i think are mostly 130mm or newer are 135mm. you would have to measure to make sure the wheel your putting is the same w
@@dropped3540 I will change my fork to a 700c rigid fork and how do I meause if it can fit the rear?

Hay que correr los patines de freno?. Porque las ruedas más grandes hacen que la banda de frenado quede más arriba.
asi es, existen adaptadores para eso. recomiendo este video ua-cam.com/video/C7lR3R0pOZ8/v-deo.html
Did you use a 700c rim?
Yes
you didn't film anything, try with a stand next time
Yes, next time turn off the TV.
Is 700c the same as 29?
Yes. They are the same diameter. The biggest difference is going to be the internal rim width. 29er allow for much wider tires.
@@dropped3540 Thank you 👍
I just ordered a 26in with disk mounts, so that means I’ll have no issue
I’m looking for and older canti/disc frame
Your cam is always too upward, cannot see what you points out.. 😭🙈
Yeah I need to remake that video and do a better job explaining and showing what I did. And have it half as long. Lol
I did this to a 99' Klein Attitude Race drop bars 700c touring tank rims from a Cannondale 46/34 to 12-34 , kenda kouriers 38 ...Promax adapter in the rear had cantilever action and a disc front with an circa era rockshock judy...came with Manitou sx but the disc mounts were of slightly...xt rear derailleur and 105 flight deck brifters....stolen Xmass day...just after I dialed it in ...I'm doing the project again ...found the same frame for 50 ...all the parts were used bim parts anyway...sentiments were in the frame miles and memories...50 is an easy way start over and do it up ...2020 sucked so bad anyway
Yeah im searching for another 26 frame but with disc/canti mounts. Most people selling are asking way to much especially when you add in the $80-$150 shipping that they tack on..lol
@@dropped3540 im in Seattle...its a mad scramble hella stuff here and there
@@seansims8805 yeah I’m here in the sticks of Iowa so it’s hard to find quality stuff for sale at a decent price. When i do find stuff on marketplace they don’t want to ship. I’ve been looking for a Bianchi San Jose. Found one listed in Reno Nevada for $175. I offered him $325 to ship it. He agreed to it then ghosted me. Luckily I hadn’t sent him the money.
I did just pick up a 2018 Jamis Renegade escapade, frame with carbon front fork, bb, and ritchey stem for $250. It will pry make an appearance in my next video. My wheelset I ordered for it just arrived so I’m going to try my hand at an unboxing video. Lol
Hi do you think 700x38c can fit to 26er standard steel frame?
Assuming it’s a mtb. Yes I would assume they will fit. The big issue is having having your brakes and wheels lineup. I had to use long reach caliper brakes off a road bike and they just barely fit. I have 40c tires on I could pry go a little bigger as long as I’m not using knobby tires. But even with the 40c wheels I have to let air out of the tires to get them in and out
i have a Huffy WindSprint 27" 12 speed . what size are the tires and tubes. The walls of the tires are worn off.
if its a 27 i would assume its a 27 inch wheel? so it would need a 27 tire.. as far as width i don't know.. you may just have to take one of the old tires to a local bike shop and ask. sorry can't be more help. when i look up windsprint 12 speed. i see results for 27x 1 1/4.
Heck switch out to something with options...alignment and brake surface plus clearance...if ya got the clearance it is brakes and alignment ...you can use different options is my passion...I ride at age 52 to a high tolerance for manufacturers specs ...im not big so that helps but I love the reuse and repurpose
Tire problem resolved, brakes are good, everything has been cleaned and lubricated. Running great.
@@josephlozoponi4013 that’s good to hear. Enjoy the ride
@@seansims8805 I like to use original equipment when possible.
Can someone tell me what kind of rigid fork is that. Is that steerer tube standard? And can somebody tell me how to find one that has capable to put 700c wheelset on it..
No issues with assembly for me ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" - 5'9".
Thank you for the idea sir. I have a bridgetone wildwest clasic bike sir. I try to setup a 700c wheelset.. I think 700c x 35 is good to my bike. Thank you again.. God bless.. Ride safe..
I have questions what about 27x1 1/4 rimset im going to change the tire in to 700c can be fit or not?
Camera angles are difficult to tell what’s going on during most of the video. Background audio is annoying as well…
what size diameter do you use? 700 x ..?
It had 700x 40c. But I had to replace those because they were dry rotted. Now I have 700x38 on it.
@@dropped3540 thanks! i have a plan to make a gravel bike from mtb 26 with 700 rims
Any pedal strike issues and whats the fork size?
I Haven't got that far yet.. lol My wife and I were both sick with covid and i had to order a different bottom bracket for it. I was in the process of making a video of the assembly and noticed if i were to put a chain ring on it would hit the chainstay. now that the holidays, hunting season and sickness is over i hope to have another video out soon.. thanks for watching
@@dropped3540 thanks man, take care and looking forward for more of your contents
I have the finished video out now
Can I use 700c wheels on 26" frame?
That's exactly what he's done
Glad I'm not the only one lost here !
Lol !
Is 700c the same as 29?
@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess yes
No se vé nada.
Can 38c fit on my 26 frame?
I have no idea? I don’t know what frame you have. Lol. Measure between your seat stays. Not all bikes are the same.
Thanks for this video good sir i converted my vintage 26er mountain bike with no suspension to 700c
It even looks better than my actual 700c bike
Thank you
What adapters did you try?? I think they might work for my 26” to 27.5” conversion. Thanks!
amzn.to/3ikuhrD
I've done a 26 to 700c conversion on a 1991 trek mtb. The only brakes I could find that work using the originating posts are the Box Three long arm V-brakes, the pads only hit half of the braking surface but have plenty of stopping power.
Yeah the problem with vbrakes is I want to use drop handle bars and they have a different pull ratio
Good point! I had originally planned on doing that but ended up going with a flat bar.
Yeah those would work, for braking but you can’t shift with them
Sorry if you said it in the video, but what size tires are those? Trying to figure out the biggest tires I can get with caliper brakes and those look pretty wide.
These are 38, I actually had 40s on but they were junk. These tires have a little bit of tread, but if they were nobby tires they wouldn’t fit. My 33 challenge Limus tires had plenty of room
Nice bike🤟🏽💕 watching here from Philippines 🇵🇭
