Isn't it more common for nobles or people who are better to off to have long hair? Hair can get in the way of manual labor so if anything Laith looks more like a nobleman lol
I just want to say how much I appreciate how casually edited these videos are. Compared to the trend of just hypercutting zooming in on faces cuts every couple seconds to different parts of the screen cuts on when somebody tries to make a joke but it's not funny. You can't even tell what the player is doing most of the time on these modern gaming videos because they're so hypercut. This one is perfect
Same with the cringe little meme edits some of these content creators use. It’s terrible. This guys and Stray King are some of the best CK3 content creators out there.

they don't want to portray him well because they know that a lot of right leaning social media likes him. it's that simple. even kingdom of heaven (which itself is arguably very against the overall christian cause) gave him his due credit. he's not even one of the highlighted bookmark characters- sybille is. They're going out of their way to downplay his existence
but surely if he was a SWEDE like the devs they would have gone above and beyond to buff him beyond belief, give him custom graphics and events, etc, as well as glossing over any potential negative aspects. (see: vikings in ck, gustavus adolphus and swedes in europa universalis)

Future campaign idea: Play as the Bene Gesserit. Start as an unlanded woman of the custom dynasty "Bene Gesserit". Always play as the head of your dynasty and try to ensure that the head of your dynasty is female. Your objectives are the following:
1. Found a Witch Coven
2. Create the "Missionaria Protectiva", a custom religion in acceptance of witchcraft and closely related marriages.
3. Convert all the rulers of rank king or higher to your religion.
4. Manipulate the congenital traits of the rulers with the objective that the heir of a king or emperor is their son with the traits "Pure-blooded", "Lunatic" and "Genious". This heir should not be part of your dynasty. He is the Kwisatz Haderach.
Kwisatz Haderach was always a Bene Gesserit, if a male. He had to be born from one. All three of them in Dune were descendants and genetic projects of Bene Gesserit.
@@andrew3203 I know. But neither the Atreides nor the Harkonnens were a family of Bene Gesserit. The "not of your dynasty" limitation is supposed to imitate how the Bene Gesserit tried to produce a Kwisatz Haderach in the Atreides and the Harkonnen dynasty. The Kwisatz Haderach should of course cout many Bene Gesserit in his ancestry. I just don't want him to BE a member of their dynasty.
I was going to do a landless run where I get as many of my children on thrones as I can while never holding one myself. That sounds like a decent way to go about it.

I believe Raimon of Lebanon (of Toulouse) is Tiberias in Kingdom of Heaven, they changed his name in the movie to not confuse people with Renaud de Chatillon.

In any case, he definitely wasn't white and blonde, with a perfect symmetrical face. If you go back to what the Bible prophesied the Messiah would look like, Jesus would be ugly and hunchbacked. This is more of a historical thing where each feudal house has their own armies and the king's armies are mainly composed of their levies and vassals. It's kind of like how army regiments function today with differences in uniform based on their identity, but in the medieval era, each soldier, man at arms and knight has the coat of arms of their direct liege.

The thing is medieval soldiers didn't really had "uniforms", they bought their own equipment.
Uniforms were created during the modern era.

@@pdwissam Yeah that makes no sense because the masks in general are completely ahistorical (and I assume based on his portrayal in the movie) so not adding his mask is just PDX being lazy again.
To be honest, i would go with learning to get that health bonus early on so you can create a dynasty of badasses.

Honestly imagine forming the Outremer Empire gets formed only to immediately be destroyed by the Mongols
Fun fact: Baldwin and Saladin actually really liked each other outside of the conflict at large, they respected each other as leaders
Do another episode I want to see it how this story continues. What happens when the Mongols eventually invade your lack of create a succession crisis?

What's cool about this start date is that it is weirdly between CK3 and EU4 in terms of scale. We're now in a time period were we have 10K+ armies. No longer seeing armies of just 500 to 2000 troops, but actual full scale armies like in EU4.
In Ck2 you could start at 1337 so way later than this
Why does Richard the Lionheart have more martial than Saladin when he never could beat him and yet Baldwin IV who beat him has less martial.
They need to buff Baldwin IV up way more I mean they didn't even give him Crusader King.

Maybe because laith is Muslim his name is Islamic or atleast muslims mostly use it so he hates him for the crusade and the massacre he did, but laith keeps being neutral to all christians and muslims.
I mean in general history ppl dont really like him cause he was a shit king, his crusader larp lead kingdom of england in poor state, which directly caused Magna Carta when his successor wanted fix the coffers with higher taxes.

ANd Laith as a Arabic, didn't guess, as I've only seen it either attached to Hebrew or Scotland/Scandanavia region of the world. So I learned something new today.
As far as RIchard, I'm aware of his track record for his crusade as well as almost bankrupting the kingdom. But again, some don't list those while others do, so that's why I'm curious on what's Laith leaning and what not.

5:34 should have taken the 2 castles in Jerusalem from his barons. He ounly had 2 of 5 domain. Even with the 2 additional castles hed be at 4/5 and since Its easier to take from vassals then from neighbors he should have revoked from a count vassle.
revoking the barons yes but not the count, not having max domain is fine if the other option is tempting a tyranny war you might lose
