    Cherry blossoms are my absolute favorite to make! I have a quart size bag full of stamens that I have made when you put up the first tutorial ❤️ I share your love for these lovely blooms and can’t wait to start making so many more! I don’t have a business, yet... but with this “budding “ passion -no pun intended😂 I have developed a strong pull in that direction! My husband has been hearing about these lovely trees, along with magnolias, another idea for a tutorial 😉 I am very lucky to have a very supportive husband that has been helping me in my flower beds. This is one of my favorite times of the year because when I weed and put down fresh mulch it just frames my house beautifully. We are going to plant a few fruit trees in remembrance of my parents. My mom passed away in 2017 from a brain tumor and my dad in 2007 to bone cancer. Not meaning to get so personal, but they were so young and did everything right ( non-smokers, organic lifestyle along with lots of exercise) which is so upsetting to me. Sorry for the TMI. Alexandria, your guidance has been astronomical and I really appreciate it (like so many others) Thank you so much 😊 ❤️🌸🌸🌸🌸❤️

      Oh that’s great you’ll be all set to go! I’m so sorry to hear about your parents 😔 but that will be such a lovely thing to do in memory of them.
      I’m sure you’d have fun at least doing the cake business part-time, you can use up some of your flower stash 😋

    You start with the sugar paste and in the end it seems as if you are holding the real flower in your hand... Great Artist!!

    You are my favorite and I think most talented of the flower tutorials. Can I ask though about cherry blossom cutters. The Minette Rushing ones seems to be gone and I really can’t find a decent set. What are your suggestions? I have most every other cutter so what would be the best substitute? Thanks again for your awesome tutorials

      Hi Jean, thank you so much!! What I'd recommend is using any 5 petal cutter then you can cut out a small notch using a calyx cutter from the tops of the petals. I haven't found another set of cutters I love but I'll keep an eye out!

    How many days ahead of cake decorating can I do this? How long can I store them for?

    Therse are stunning, as always. Can I ask: do you steam your flowers after dusting??? If so, how long for? Most of the other tutorials I’ve seen do, but when I tried that yesterday my petals all tried to melt...!?!?

      Thank you, I was wondering the same thing.

    • @FinespunCakes
      @FinespunCakes  3 роки тому

      I do sometimes but not always! You have to be very brief with steaming, only takes 1 second and keep the flower moving too :)
