During September we explored the beautiful Moselle Valley and Eifel region with our motorcycles (KTM 890 Duke R and KTM 690 Duke). The Moselle river is not only famous for its outstanding wines, but also for its lovely nature and the picturesque villages along the magnificent river loops. The steepest vineyards in Germany are located here, where the grapes can only be harvested by hand and not by machine. On our trips we made some short stops to take some drone shots of the beautiful medieval castles located at the riverside.
How I recorded the DJI Mini 2 footage:
I used an ND16 filter to achieve a more natural and cinematic look. White balance was set to 6100K and the shutterspeed from 1/60 to 1/80 while recording in 4K 30fps. In post processing I applied adjustments on the highlights, shadows, gamma correcture, saturation of certain colours as well as the colour temperature. For the speed ramps I applied some extra motion blurr and used optical flow to smoothen it. Processing was done on a Lenovo Legion 5i Pro Gen 7 (Intel® Core™ i7-12700H, NVIDIA GeForce® RTX™ 3070 Ti) using the DaVinci Resolve 18.6.2 Studio version.
How I recorded the DJI Action 2 footage:
The footage was recorded in 4K 60fps Super Wide View in D-Cinelike (flat profile) mode with exposure set to automatic and the white balance set to 6100K. In post processing I adjusted the color temperature as well as the highlights and shadows.

Im September haben wir mit unseren Motorrädern (KTM 890 Duke R und KTM 690 Duke) das wunderschöne Moseltal erkundet. Die Mosel ist nicht nur für ihre hervorragenden Weine bekannt, sondern auch für ihre schöne Natur und die malerischen Dörfer entlang der herrlichen Flussschleifen. Darüber hinaus befinden sich hier die steilsten Weinbergslagen Deutschlands, in denen die Trauben nur von Hand und nicht maschinell geerntet werden können.
Auf unsereren Fahrten legten wir stets kurze Stopps ein, um ein paar Luftaufnahmen von den schön gelegenen mittelalterlichen Burgen am Flußufer zu machen.
So habe ich das DJI Mini 2-Filmmaterial aufgenommen:
Ich habe einen ND16-Filter verwendet, um einen natürlicheren und filmischeren Look zu erzielen. I'm sitting here in the blowing snow and your taking a sweet turn on a perfect road in a dreaming country on a trick bike ! Then the rest of the movie simply leaves me in Awe. Vielen lieben Dank für Deinen tollen und wie immer sehr motivierenden Kommentar. Das weiß ich wirklich sehr zu schätzen. 😊 Das Moseltal und die angrenzende Eifelregion sind seit letztem Jahr zu meiner liebsten Gegend zum Motorrad fahren geworden. Landschaft, Burgen und Kurven sind einfach nur traumhaft schön. Finde es dort noch schöner bzw. romantischer als bei uns am Mittelrhein, obwohl es hier bei uns auch schon toll ist. Die Burg Thurant im Thumbnail ist für mich die schönste Burg an der Mosel, allerdings wollten sie mich dort nicht fliegen lassen, nicht einmal über die angrenzenden Weinberge. Bin dann wieder gegangen und von weiter weg geflogen. Wer will mich schon daran hindern über Weinberge zu fliegen. Hätte die Burg aber gerne mehr im Detail gefilmt. Allerdings bleibt dafür bei den Motorradtouren sowieso nur wenig Zeit. Meist flieg ich da nur ein paar Minuten und hoffe dann, dass man aus dem Material was machen kann. 😉 Liebe Grüße und noch eine schöne Restwoche, Michael.
