- Here's my chance to show off my latest gear and also answer any questions you may have had about my current setup. Hopefully it even helps some of the learners out there with how to set up a new board.
Board Specs:
Board: 8 inch Lurkville
Trucks:Theeve
Wheels: Folklore 50mm
Grip: Jessup
Bearings: Modus acec 3

because ten years ago i wanted to get my first tattoo, one that would remind me of skateboarding when im an old man, a simple logo of a brand which was skateboarding only... turns out ten years later, my two favorite pro skaters ride for them and they are still skateboarding only :)

I like lows, makes the pop feel way more natural. Right now I'm riding a pair of venture lows that have lasted me a couple years!

Boards should come already made with trucks and wheels on them geez.
That's if you order a complete. You don't need new trucks or any other part that still has life in them every time you get a new deck. And plus it's always fun setting up a board
and most completes suck.
Just buy a board and customize it dont use completes.

setting up a new board is the best feeling ever. its so enjoyable. I just got a new board yesterday. I was so fucking excited lol. I put the grip on so fucking perfectly. like I really think board set ups are my addiction now lol.

I noticed that you have a frayed lace; Do you know a way to preserve them, make them last longer, or do you just have a bunch of pairs of laces?

@TheIronMcC123456 Spacers for inside the wheels, they don't do much these days but I still put them on of they come with the bearings

@baskwith how are the G-codes? I've wanted to get some but want to know if they'll last me a little while before i do.
Are modus Abec 3s worth it? They're pretty cheap and I am considering buying them or bones reds, not sure what to get though :/
@kesillo627 no, but after skating them for a while you will have different grinds grooved into each

Are lurkville boards,modus bearings and folklore wheels any good?
so scraping the line into the grip before the cut can be done easier, it also is a good place to start the grip cuts
@TobsKads I just keep tying up the snaps until I can no longer then I useually put a new one in haha

Nice video! Is it normal that trucks are not"aligned" when they are new? And should the weels be "tightly" screwes, or should you have a 0.5mm clearance or so? (Yes, I AM new .... ) 34 years old, picking this up again ....

@ChodeChancellor paper stickers will grip but newer stickers don't really. just use wax on the ledge/rail if they do
i never was on flow man, they just help me out with boards sometimes :) i was sent some lurkville to try out, so im just giving it a go haha
