It is so sad that people seem to have forgotten him.
He was about to launch an investigation about the scandal at that time and to reform the Church.
I do not know why this pope is not yet a saint. It means not yet canonised because I am sure that as soon as he died he went straight to heaven. He was such a humble pope and I'm sure that had he lived the reforms by Pope Francis would have already been there.

Today is the first I have heard of him (I am only 26 so I always hear of number 2 lol).
But I instantly liked this gentleman. Kind eyes and a wonderful smile.
I guess God decided that he wanted to spare him the trials of leading the church.
I did do some research on him. They say they believe he died of a heart attackm
I was 12 in 1978 and his death was quite a shock.

@@The12thSeahorse i had seen a documentary on the cover-up done by the bishop of Rome. JP1 wanted to change the leadership including the purging and reassignment of corrupt bishops and cardinals especially the italians. it was good that they chose JP2 a non-italian.
