Mike, I'm going to age myself. As a kid in the '60s, I remember the snow being so deep that you couldn't walk to the neighbor's house . Your mention of Waynesburg brought back some memories, as that was where we lived until I went to college in the mid-70s. I got work in TX and move to Houston. We moved back north from Texas in the late 1970s during a winter snowstorm. It took us a week to travel to upstate New York. WHlie in TX we got news from relatives that in the 70s snow was so deep that my Uncle in Waynesburg who lived out RT 21 had to run his truck into the snow on his driveway that was up to the hood to get the truck off the road. My brother-in-law in Harrisburg had snow so deep that you couldn't see the light post at the end of his driveway. So, at least we aren't seeing snows like that anymore. Our blue norther has come in. Yesterday, Sunny North, TX, was over 60, and this morning, it was in the low 20s. Folks are worried about our government-run eclectic grid, which failed a few years back, causing many deaths and billions of dollars of damage from frozen pipes. Glad you found your camera as I'm sure they cost a bundle.
Glad to see the blade in action. I see you have the same problem we do someone left the snow making machine on overnight. God bless and stay warm everyone.
Mike I have seen very many plowing snow here on UA-cam .You are the first one I have ether talk about or show the skid shoes back when I was a kid that was thefirst thing my dad taught me to check when plowing with the pick ups
Good morning from sunny southern Minnesota. -12F and about a 20 mph wind. Brrr! Today tomorrow and Tuesday it won’t get above zero and I think -20F for lows. The wood boiler will chew thru the wood in the next few days. Saying highs in the 20’s by next weekend though. I’m glad you learned your lesson and are stopping at that stop sign now. Lol. Have a great day! Stay warm
Wow, luck was good for you today. Ready to count your loss, and there it popped up. How good was that!!! I understand how the plow could cause excessive wear on the lift arms on the tractor. I can name a couple guys that wouldn't have a clue. The 4020 really is serving your needs perfectly, just as you said it would. When you and Hunter go out today, you might want to purchase a lottery ticket. Your luck is good today, well, the day you made the video.....Anyway, another great video done for your fans, completed. Thanks, Mike.👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Hello! 😊 Bottom line is that it is not how much money you make, it's how much money you get to keep. Work smarter not harder. Good points made in this video. 👍
That firewood shed is so nice! I need to get one of those built. Plowing a long driveway with a front snow plow is certainly nice pushing that snow out of the way before you drive through it - AND - not having to twist your neck around constantly while checking out the rear blade. We're ready for the cold days north of you. I carried in a week's worth of firewood to the basement to keep things warm.
Good Morning Mike! I have a similar snow plow setup for the past 20 years on my Kubota. Adding a weight box to the front bumper was a game changer and something you should think about. It really helps the front tires with traction and steering.
Good morning from a milder NCNC. We’ve had 3-4 days of thaw that’s expected to stop tonight. Forecast is 3 days with highs below freezing. Low teens F to upper 20s F (-10 to -2 C). Not a fan.
Good morning. Don’t know if you have a tough time steering when the loader plow is down, but if you are you can use your brakes to help you steer. It’s similar to running a dozer with pedal steer. At least you are getting the snow with your cold, here in Minnesota we are just getting the cold. Good luck , God Bless and have a great day!
I have a version for my small subcompact and it is the best thing since sliced bread. Besides the shoe height, the height and tip makes it very adjustable. Most of all, the implement change takes 5-10 minutes (mostly connecting the hydraulics) and I never have to take my loader off now. I love it.
Good Sunday morning Morgan family! Getting another nuisance snow today 3-6” predicted for SE PA, followed by a deep freeze. Hope you have a fantastic week. Happy 29th(?). Birthday Melissa!!
Morning Mike. I know you must have heard it before but for what you do for snow removal a blower is the answer. I watched GP Outdoors and duplicated his setup. After several years of use I couldn’t be happier. I’m 76yo and live on the west coast of MI. It’s fast and doesn’t create banks to deal with. In conjunction with the rear blade for scraping the slush from the concrete it’s the perfect setup for me.
Good Sunday morning, Morgan's and friends!! Mike, great setup on the tractor . If we got more snow here , I would probably get a similar setup. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!! Thank you for the video, Mike !!
Mike, enjoy watching you use all your toys (equipment) but especially how well you know how to best use them. Have a blade to go on T770 Bobcat but so far not enough snow to justify the hookup time and use, just a smooth bucket and dump to side.
I a reading this at 8 45 central time and i look at your equipment to handle snow. I live on the Mississippi coast and we are suppose to get your snow on Tuesday. We are being told to stay home because we ha e very little equipment or experience in this weather. Hurricanes are a walk in the park compared to this. Tbe kids are looking forward to the snow. The biggest problem will be our many bridges i will comment after Tuesday. Have fun and stay safe!
Just before you stopped and said exactly this, I was just thinking about how the combination of plow on front and blade in back is effective and efficient. The blade being level and without shoes means you can clean concrete well. And with both running loaded with snow, it might help keep you straight. I noticed a full bucket needed some cant to the front wheels every once in a while. Does it take less to offset the front blade if the back is down and full?
GOOOOOOD SUNDAY MORNING EVERYONE OUT THERE IN OWTM’s VIDEO LAND!!….HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA!!!…stay warm up there yinz guys…thanks for the video Mike. Have a day HELLOOO HUNTER 😁
Glad to see you recovered the camera! I had built a plow unit like the one you were using and we used it on a John Deere 110 TLB for plowing at a large educational campus where I worked. It worked well but you had to play with it at first to get the correct angle/pitch. It was great for pushing back the tops of snow banks because it was out in front of the skid steer mount about 42 inches. I added a second set of skid shoes back at the mount also.
Without question I enjoy all aspects of your content. There’s plenty of entertainment, education and a decent about of life perspective. Without realizing it your weather forecast is many times a snapshot of what I’m about see for weather. ( I’m just on the south shore of Boston) Every weather station is reporting on a different model and when are they ever right. But when I look at your run of temps, rain and snow fall I can usually make my out door weather plans for work within the next 24 hours and be more accurate than the professionals gathering weather data from stations that I kid you not are less than 4 miles from my home.
I was thinking the same thing. That plow looks like it’s way out in front of the cab. Mike is an expert at handling his equipment but I would probably be running into things. 😀
Working thru out the years for yourself and employed by obviously a large construction firm makes it easy to understand your "common sense" approach to so many things!!!
Mike, another way to possibly find your go pro in a situation like that is try to connect to it from you phone. (If it’s on) that’ll get in the general vicinity. Glad you found it though, those things ain’t cheap!! Haha.
I have to watch OWM to remember what winter was once like here in Nova Scotia, Canada. Today, it's 46⁰F with green grass. 20 years ago was a different story.
Mike, my brother and I used to have work days/nights like the one you described. When he and I talk about it now, it's very interesting. Despite how grueling that seemed, somehow we always had a blast (no pun), and there was a lot of laughter.😊
Mike, you have mentioned before how you like your tractor’s power. It didn’t seem to bog down at all even when plowing uphill. You are liking that cab as well! Yeah, it’s supposed to be really cold Monday through Wednesday in north central Ohio with a lows (before windchill) below zero on Tuesday and Wednesday. Stay warm.
Hey Mike, before you put your equipment at risk of loss, you might want to think about putting an RFID tag onto the equipment. If you then buy a reader, you will be able to find the hidden piece!
I was hoping the plow, scraper blade combo would be the ticket for a gravel driveway but it looks like you are still picking up stone at least on the crown of the drive. I was hoping there was some magic combo to make that better but I think that is just the nature of gravel drives. love our drive but hate raking the edges where we mow in the spring.
MIKE here is another thought you should have a junior responder two ceal beam light to put on the roof to use when your down near the road IT will let people know your there this a smaller unit the the full bar ones like the city and county use. I realy like your u tub page we are in a 25 to 35 below wind chill watch till tues stay worm be safe your friend from minnesota land of 10 thousend lakes all frozen
Good morning Mike I plowed snow one season. I was working for someone but it is still not something I would seek out to do again. As for your camera that was luck. But attaching a lanyard or at least a small rope to it and tying to the machine would prevent it from getting away!
Mike, great video. I think with your driveway situation you’re gonna want to invest in some type of power broom, either for your tractor,, hand held, or both. The crushed stone on the grass will give you a workout for sure come spring. ❤ your videos, TY for sharing. Dave from Maine.
That ‘stop’ cracks me up every time 😂
Hahahahhahaa!!! The stop sign never gets old!!!😂😂😂😂😂

I put a pipe on the bottom of my plow years ago and took my skids right off.
I had just heard about putting a pvc pipe over the cutting edge. Never tried it. It works for you?
@@simonthebroken9691 Steel pipe
I’ve used the 1”1/2 pvc pipe for two years, saves on lawn repair easy on and off and never came off
Great job of plowing with the new setup. Happy birthday Mellisa🎉🎂
Great vidio! I liked your stop at the sign!
Couldn’t agree more about snow plowing! Did it twenty years, finally gave it up. Huge commitment and some years little pay off.
I like how you stop at the stop sign.
"Just because you are working doesn't mean you are making money " No truer words ever spoken.
Glad to see the blade in action. I see you have the same problem we do someone left the snow making machine on overnight. God bless and stay warm everyone.

Morning!
You are very lucky to find that GoPro. Good job in not giving up.
You should get an Apple Air Tag. It would find it easier than just getting lucky.

You can put a PVC pipe over the blade (make a cut along length) on the bottom to prevent it from digging if you run it on gravel
What is cool about the front blow blade, curl back and run on the skid plates. Curl forward and run on the blade.
Hey Mike, before you put your equipment at risk of loss, you might want to think about putting an RFID tag onto the equipment. If you then buy a reader, you will be able to find the hidden piece!
