    Great video! Especially liked the part about Disney. Will have to go there one day to see what it’s like. Looking forward to the upcoming “bank account, etc.” video!

    Fun to watch your video. I live in a rural area & it's a food desert. However, I like the quiet & minimal traffic.

      Yeah the city gets pretty noisy! I used to live in a smaller area before Tokyo… big difference for sure. Thanks for watching!

    Welcome back to Japan! Picking the A380 is a great choice, I've always wanted to fly on that plane. You don't see too many of them around anymore. Take care.

      Thank you! The A380 is a beast, I hope you get to ride it sometime!

    Love the Hachiko bus! I was lucky to be on the orange route for a month's stay. Such a valuable community service for 100 yen. The song is still ringing in my head. You did really well with your home base location in Tokyo. I am splitting time between Oahu/Osaka. Which do you miss more, Japan when you're in Hawaii or vice versa?

      Oh interesting, you split your time too! I think I miss Japan more when I’m in Hawaii… the food, there’s more to do, more travel options, etc. When I’m in Japan, I miss family and friends more than the actual place. How about you?

      I’m currently in Hawaii and can’t wait until I return end of the month. I’m just starting my split time arrangement with plans to be in Japan all year except summer. I love Hawaii and agree its close bonds with family and friends that I miss when I’m away. Setting up life in Japan can be frustrating but overall there’s so much to experience and enjoy. I think I have a good idea of what your next video will cover. I rely heavily on my banking set-up for daily needs and even remote management of my obligations when I’m away.

      @ I hope your time in Japan goes well! There are frustrations for sure. I also try not to be in Japan during the summer… too hot but I wish I didn’t miss out on the summer fruits!

    Barrett, do you keep your aparto in Tomigaya? I got the impression that when you moved back to Hawai′i that you closed everything out.

    • @barrettish
      @barrettish  14 днів тому

      Yeah. I was living in Kyodo before, Tomigaya was after.

    Love Muji! The one in my area sucks. They do not have all the items available in Japan.

      That’s unfortunate, I guess it would vary slightly from country to country.

      @ haha I guess that makes sense. Do they have local foods? I know Korea’s Muji has some Korean food items that aren’t sold at Japan’s locations.

      @@barrettish No, they don't have local food. The cuisine here is nothing to be brag about LOL
