      It will be interesting to see how DJI tackle the US market given that they have been classified as a “Chinese military company, meaning its technologies are designed in a way that can support the People’s Liberation Army (PLA)’s objectives." - They may get an exemption for the bikes (as the ruling was for their drone business), but it might be a significant blocker to their growth.

      Bosch new bdu375 motor and zf motor need mor gearbox motors

    • @johngreason9964
      @johngreason9964 17 днів тому +1

      The 3:
      1. ZF. All manufacturers, aside from Bafang, should be worried. Especially shimano.
      2. DJI. Basically, their bike dethroned the Levo and made all lightweight emtb bikes irrelevant.
      3. The dark horse. Bulls VUCA EVO AM. A true trail bike, not enduro, with a Pinion motor.
      Biggest takeaway pondering. If DJI and ZF both offer parts and serviceability. Both price full bikes under 5k and possibly, frame sets around 3k. They will own this market.

      The OWURU bike was an amazing drivetrain, and I was excited to see Villiger Dynamic. The OWURU was amazing to ride (the bike wasnt the best, but the drivetrain was smooth). Both of these motors have an integrated stepless gearbox integrated.

      I saw the head of Bosch Ebikes with his own Ebike that has a Bosch CX motor and a 3x3 NINE rear hub connected with a belt. Maybe that’s a solution you could transform your Ebike into. Or go with the MGU 😊

    • @RogerHaefele
      @RogerHaefele 17 днів тому +1

      @@HFrizzler That 3x3 solution might work OK, but I am 100% shure the new mainstream in a few years is ONE unit with motor and gearbox. It will reduce unsprung weight and it is cheaper to have one unit. I guess the next big thing is to get rid of the rear brake and employ a good regenration system inside the MGU. It is really strange why these developments take so long.

    Dudes, not much has changed in 6 years. My Giant 2018 eBike has 5 configurable assistance levels up to 380%, 500Wh battery and delivers 80Nm torque. The progress from year 2018 is minute, ebikes are somewhat refined now. What has changed is battery capacity. They are packing more cells of the same type in practicality same housing compromising safety. What almost everybody is missing is that smaller motors need to draw more current from the battery than larger motors to achieve the same torque.

    MGU is the future and it needs to be part of any brand's range of bikes. All these current German brands with MGU need to export world wide as we are waiting to have them in our market. Waiting in Australia.

      Keeping my fingers crossed for you non-Europeans🤞🏻
      Although quiet a bunch of manufacturers released MGU powered bikes last year it seems they were a little hesitant to make substantial orders. My prediction is though that they recognize the ever growing demand and follow up with bigger orders. In addition more and more manufacturers release MGU bikes which should make it more likely you guys will get your fair share. The question is how long that will take…

    ZF gearboxes are 8 speed and in all the high torque 3.0tdi and petrol cars, known as Tiptronic (not to be confused with S Tronics 7 speed gearboxes). They are bombproof with 300,000km service intervals, the other manufacturers should be very worried.

    Belt drives are great for city bike environments but anything with a buildup of sticky mud? I foresee issues with bud not being able to be ejected from the cogs and blocking belt teeth. It's not an issue with chains as the holes in the chain gives the mud a place to get out but a belt has no such escape route.

    Storck
    Max&Maleon
    cybro
    Radkutsche
    Buddy
    They were one of the main players with Nox of Austria that was the first bike to use the Sachs/BMZ motor .
    BMZ supplied the batteries for the Sachs and currently makes batteries for Brose . these batteries are of extreme high quality and are made in germany .

    SHORT CRANKS! This is by far the biggest blindspot in cycling, all disciplines!
    The ergonomic benefits, especially for mid to short peeps are insane, both mtb and road (but for different reasons)
    The issue is, bike geo is built around crank length. The shorter you go, the same needs yo apply to seat height AND rear horizontal back. Otherwise you lose downstroke power.
    EMTBs are going shorter (should be 150mm average imo), but steep seat angles make getting rearward tough!
    Anyhow, where are the CVT motor gearbox's...?
