QUANTube #1 Schrödingers Cat

How long do cats live, if they are alive and dead at the same time? Why did Schrödinger choose a cat of all animals to stuff into a box? And what does the Q in KittyQ actually stand for? In the first episode of our QUANTube series, Teresa, a physicist from Dresden, offers insights into the mysteries surrounding the topic of “Schrödinger´s cat” and explains the well-known thought experiment of Nobel prize winner Erwin Schrödinger.
“QUANTube - science break” is a video series connected to the mobile game “Kitty Q - a Quantum Adventure” created by the Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat of the TU Dresden and the University of Würzburg.
Since the release of the Kitty Q app created by the Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat and prize-winning app designer Phillip Stollenmayer, more than 500 questions of users from around the globe have reached us.
From January to December 2022, these questions will be answered in our QUANTube series by young scientists from Würzburg and Dresden.
