I think the ant should be phazing though the tube whenever it is on the outside and the inside, if you wanted to demonstrate a 4d Klein Bottle.

Next video: ant walk on the Möbius strip. During the walk, the ant will regularly teleport around the strip instead of just going straight ahead. Anyone who objects is an offended overpedantic crybaby nerd.

It is a single surface with no edges except the discontnuity where the neck pierces the bottle. A Mobius strip is a single surface with one edge, but viewed up close appears to have 2 edges.

The self intersection is not really a self intersection. In the 4th dimension they’re not connected, so the ant can walk through the self intersection perfectly fine. What the ant can’t do is walk from the big part to the little part (in the beginning and end) because they’re not connected in the 4th dimension, it’s basically teleportation.

Fun Fact: Klein Bottle means Small Bottle in German.

Is the ant inside or outside?

This animation is wrong. The part at 0:12 has the ant walk from the wide part of the bottle to the narrow part but it can't do that, because the "intersection" of the bottle there actually weaves around the 4th dimension so it doesn't really self collide.
