I'm coming from my experience of high school marching band since I have indeed in high school and my marching band could enter a college competition If it was allowed. I can't stand people who hate on marching band, atleast we have more talent and pride than yall.

This entire show was learned, memorized, and performed in 1 week (5 days) and the dance was likely taught 2 days before performing. AND this is just the last song. They do about 4-5 songs per show. Don't worry, being an alumni of the 110, I am certain the trumpet in question punished himself more than any person could punish him. Don't judge. Unless you have been in THIS band...you have no idea of the expectation of perfection, then demands made, and what that trumpet likely put himself through.

Wow, I'm sure with all of your marching band experience you've never EVER made a mistake before, and I'm positive that you know every thing about that one trumpet, who you clearly picked out, and can tell me how he was doing that day, and if nothing else extraneous troubling his mind. But I'm sure you've done all that, after all, we both know that anyone who judges someone else without all of that in mind is a complete fuck.

It doesn't matter what's going on in his personal life, that has nothing to do with how well he plays. And honestly, I've never played early before during a marching band performance because that's the one thing that's intolerable and that we constantly practice at my school. If you screw up, it has to be anywhere other than the beginning or end. You _have_ to start and cut off with everyone else, because the beginning and end of the performance are the most important parts.
