I remember when I was younger playing this game in the car and getting everyone annoyed with this song because I was on the level for hours xD oh well~ it's nice to hear it again actually ^~^
ElGavino true that bro, I remember being stuck on this level for soooo longggg, and eventually this level drove to me to insanity, as I began hearing that dreaded tune everyday in my head.
i always play this level for this song it's so fun i've played this level so many times now that almost all of my actions when i play this level goes with the beat
@FireKirby7 It is in that song. It's a common vocal sample used in many things. Every vocal you hear in this game is a sample, and I'm guessing a lot of the actual music is as well.
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!! I should infinite loop this when I'm playing Poptropica!!!! Anyone who disagrees can deal with Sonic's hyper-metallic spine and Blaze's pyrokinesis!!!
FusionComet Poptropica is a fun 2D game I still play that was created by Pearson, although it is now owned by Sandbox Networks. Ya see, the game didn't have sound so playing background music on other tabs, such as Ska Cha Cha, was one way to break the silence :P . However, there is now a whole lotta sound as alot of the recent content has been Sound Updated. It's full of unique stories throughout its 47+ levels, or islands as fitting to the island exploring theme, and if you decide to give it a chance you might have some fun yourself :) .
MarioMarioBW No, I know what it is. I used to play it in the 5th grade, during that Big Nate event. I'm just surprised that there are people still playing it.
Listening to this on laptop speakers (while not much better than DS speakers) really brings out the quality of the music. I noticed that Sonic's track is a bit grittier, while Blaze's seems to be a bit more mellow, keeping more of a soft tone. Gotta admit, it's pretty boss.
This track is so fucking catchy. I used boot this game up and sit on the sound test for ages listening to this on long car journeys before I got an mp3 player.
The original stage title that DIMPS had in mind was Not Carnival Night: Bottomless Pits Everywhere Edition, but Sonic Team realized that a title like that wouldn't really roll off the tongue well.
8 YEARS ON UA-cam? UA-cam was released in 2005. What is even possible that this channel was active for more than eight years ago when this video was uploaded?
UA-cam has a feature that allows you to put a intro in all your videos. You can disable it when you want, or put the intro you want, but I think it needs to be short i dont know
The funny thing about both versions of this particular track is that it sounds like half and half. It's like it would sound full if they were fused together (something like that...)
I find this to be rather light and easy for ska music, but it definitely fills the description. A better example of Ska would be Metal Harbor from SA2. Nevertheless, a very catchy tune!
Hard call simply because of different factors. Even with just basic setup, it's like the wooden spear vs the wooden shield experiment. Where are they fighting? What weapons and armor do they have? What kind of weapon upgrades are available? What vehicles are available? While one can handle the lesser enemies of the other, I would say no contest with Chief vs Samus. Even fully ready, too close to call. Missiles, Rockets, Bombs, Ice Beams, Hammer, Tank, Ship, Mongoose. Too many factors.
And people have to think the game was rushed because of the fans demanding a new game sooner! (The game was released 1 year before its planned release!)
I swear the line "its dark over here" (at least thats what it sounds like its saying) always was said when I entered that dark part where you had to light it up
+Sammyyaam That bit of the level made me shit myself as a kid. It was so tense! Having to jump up the platforms with an instant death pit below you. And the worst part was that is was on a timer! It's easy now, though.
curse the DS's crappy sound quality! The songs are so awesome, and it would be even better if they (or someone) made it, or any other songs from the game, even better quality. Still, love the song, love the game
Okay, I can't let this argument go without a response. As someone who is a SEGA fan and a Konami fan, I will say this. There is no way to compare whip snapping to run and jump. While I do have a preference to liking Castlevania more, it isn't a reason for me to say it is better than Sonic. Both series have their own merits. And if anyone asks, I like the Castlevania series because the series rarely go into weird directions. Sonic has gone into directions that most early fans don't like.
For a complete list of colorful carnival-like level in Sonic : Spring Yard (S1) Casino Night (S2) Collision Chaos (S-CD) Carnival Night (S3) Casinopolis (SA1) Casino Paradise (SAdv1) Music Plant (SAdv2) Toy Kingdom (SAdv3) Casino Park / BINGO Highway (SH) Cosmic Casino (SPA) Circus Park (ShtH) Night Carnival (SR1) Sky Park (SRiv1) Neon Palace (SRiv2) Crimson Carnival aka Eggmanland (SU) Casino Street (S4.1) White Park (S4.2) ...and Sonic Colors takes place in a theme park basically xD
you have no idea how long i was stuck on this stupid level, this song brings back bad memories lol
ikr
I remember when I was younger playing this game in the car and getting everyone annoyed with this song because I was on the level for hours xD oh well~ it's nice to hear it again actually ^~^
No, man. They were jealous.
This song's for pimps only. And they knew that.
John NoNameGibbon true xD
+John NoNameGibbon hells yea
Now you can blast it on a Bluetooth speaker for hours!
Also yeah same, such a frustrating level, but the music and design made it interesting amd fun
ElGavino true that bro, I remember being stuck on this level for soooo longggg, and eventually this level drove to me to insanity, as I began hearing that dreaded tune everyday in my head.
First song in Sonic history where he contributed to the vocals himself.
When?
At 0:37 listen closely.
"DOG SHIIIIT!"
lol funny xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! le meme
OMG!! XD
LOL
Iridescent Garchomp Apologies.
It was a joke, but thanks xD
You can just tell by the name that it's gonna be a GOOD song!!
omg i've been listening to this song for the past hour, lol.
thank you so much for uploading it ^_^
When I got to that level and heard this funky song, I literally stopped playing and held the DS to my ear so I could enjoy the music.
go! go! go! go! go! it's the return of Launch Base Zone!
This song is really catchy for some reason
This was my ringtone for a time in 2005.
God damn i love these old songsss I was obsessed with this level
I can never un-hear this now.
Each time I play, all I can hear is that! XD
oh my fucking god i forgot this song existed oml I love.
This background music is cute. I like the little 'chachacha!'
I just had a flash back and needed to find this song
when you hear that music and you remember how mad you were cuz were stuck
i really love this song, sometimes, i fell into sleep
Sonic Rush is a 2005 game, thank you very much
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T THINK 06 IS A BAD GAME
I thought I was the only one 06 is my second favorite, Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, BEST!!!
XD i love the style of music for sonic rush! its so unique to that series!
i always play this level for this song it's so fun i've played this level so many times now that almost all of my actions when i play this level goes with the beat
@FireKirby7 It is in that song. It's a common vocal sample used in many things. Every vocal you hear in this game is a sample, and I'm guessing a lot of the actual music is as well.
Damn, the map was hard as fak, but the song was good.
0:25 What if siivagunner made it switch to that one Mario DDR song here?
Which one?
The first one. That one where you dance across a clearly jumpable river.
+Harold Brogan Oh ok, I can imagine that as a High Quality Rip.
i love this zone!XD
0:25 to 0:26 DDR Mario Mix much?
This is the jam!!!
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!! I should infinite loop this when I'm playing Poptropica!!!! Anyone who disagrees can deal with Sonic's hyper-metallic spine and Blaze's pyrokinesis!!!
poptropica...?

***** And now the game is in a transitional period from Flash to Unity. Isn't change just grand? xD
3 years ago
Hmm... how you like Poptropica now?
Hmm...I see what you're talking about. It does go in sync. How neat...
I LOVE this!
whoah, this game songs are so good!
this is my fav song thought the whole game
This reminds me of Samba de Amigo!
this song is driving me crazy but I can't stop listening please help

God those yearssssssss I loved them now it's all badddd
This song reminds me of Billy Hatcher so much, I can imagine Billy rolling an egg and stuff to this music In a carnival like stage :D
F the haters!!! This is awesome!
1:03 "ponle ceviche!"
@Makoto03 Sonic 3, I think... You can double check but I'm pretty sure that's it.
8 YEARS ON UA-cam? UA-cam was released in 2005. What is even possible that this channel was active for more than eight years ago when this video was uploaded?

The mistake was mine. I didn't know that UA-cam has an option to put an intro in every video.
The funny thing about both versions of this particular track is that it sounds like half and half. It's like it would sound full if they were fused together (something like that...)
My feet start dancing when i put up this song xD
@mamodojoao93 It's a DS title. They probably couldn't get 'creative' because of the semi-disaster that was Sonic 06.
"Start the machine!" XD I like to imagine that's Eggman or something.
@Makoto03 MJ did work on a sonic game. its just a little gem titled ohhh i dont know, Sonic the hedgehog 3.
I am surprised that this was not the level I lost most of my lives at.
boomgg roblox I was the unfortunate one here. Damn that level was pretty hard. But I had a blast with it.
I hear "belly" over and over again :P
listen closely at 0:37
"DARN YEAH"
Taynara Melo I hear start the machine
favorite song! Come on Mr DJ!
0:26
RUN IT MISTER DJ!
I swear I heard that same voice in DDR Mario Mix. It's in the "Here We Go" song
I cant get this out of my head
I find this to be rather light and easy for ska music, but it definitely fills the description. A better example of Ska would be Metal Harbor from SA2. Nevertheless, a very catchy tune!
"dude i got hammered apparently..that music..i'm high. what? this levels music is normal? THAT WAS THE LEGIT MUSIC?! WHAT THE FU..cool." =D
Well, the Sonic Version has more of a DJ vibe to it! Plus you hear a little more vocals in the Sonic version too.
I love this song
Wait, and Sonic 4 (which wasn't available yet) with Casino Streets.
@sonic16913 How is it sad to not know samples? What if people don't really care?
It makes me sad to see people who don't know the Sonic Rush soundtrack used samples from other songs...
@ Camicurin
It's actually 'Come on Mr. DJ!' stolen from the SMB theme remix in DDR Mario Mix
i love that wirring sound i always play this level so fun
I swear the line "its dark over here" (at least thats what it sounds like its saying) always was said when I entered that dark part where you had to light it up
+Sammyyaam
That bit of the level made me shit myself as a kid. It was so tense! Having to jump up the platforms with an instant death pit below you. And the worst part was that is was on a timer!
It's easy now, though.
Sonic Rush was released a year before sonic 06,so Sega had no excuse for not being creative.
DR. LUIGI
curse the DS's crappy sound quality! The songs are so awesome, and it would be even better if they (or someone) made it, or any other songs from the game, even better quality. Still, love the song, love the game
sonic rush deoxysprime ;)
Yeah, first Castlevania was released in 1987, while Sonic was released in 1991(in US anyways)
i love this!:)
@Zabuza28 MJ didn't work on it they just sampled his music that was already made.
At least there's no barrels in this Carnival.
they used this song in Ron's Computer in harry potter puppet pals... catchy, thats why they put it on there
0:37 lmao sounds like it says "don't give a shit"
best sonic song.
The Sonic theme with the name Ska Cha Cha! It's pretty much in the title...
Redeeming trait of the song's crappy vocals: the word 'go' it actually made the stage feel 'faster'
Okay, I can't let this argument go without a response.

I don't see any difference between this version of the song and Blaze's version. Can someone point it out for me? Thanks ahead of time.
Sounds like it's saying, "MY NAME IS LUIGI!!"
WEEGEE IS EVERYWHERE.
funny thing I heard that bioware got their music from the internet and wasn't made by them. Not to sure if that is true.
For a complete list of colorful carnival-like level in Sonic :
Spring Yard (S1)
Casino Night (S2)
Collision Chaos (S-CD)
Carnival Night (S3)
Casinopolis (SA1)
Casino Paradise (SAdv1)

Toy Kingdom (SAdv3)
Casino Park / BINGO Highway (SH)
Cosmic Casino (SPA)
Circus Park (ShtH)

Sky Park (SRiv1)
Neon Palace (SRiv2)
Crimson Carnival aka Eggmanland (SU)
Casino Street (S4.1)
White Park (S4.2)
...and Sonic Colors takes place in a theme park basically xD
Yeah I mixed it up, they more than likely focused all their creativity into this and didn't leave enough time for Sonic 06.
aaaaa i miss 2007 =(
It sounded like unlicensed Nes music. How does that sound good?
that level was so hard, took me a month to get past it
The "Go" sample reminds me of Launch Base.
@Makoto03 He did one time actually! ^^3
0:36 It says "Start the machine"
I hear they were rushing it so they could make Dragon Age 343 or something, so probably.
Even in the worst Sonic games, the music was never the problem.
it sounds like a dude said the doctor is here and someone yells who turned down that dj! lol
It's "Start the machine!"
I used to use my DS as an MP3 player. especially for sonic rush XD
we dont speak of the dark times
Sonic Chronicles had PASSABLE music...it WASN'T BAD but it also wasn't AMAZING as almost ALL Sonic games have...
4:38-ish, Yo soy el Rey de México!
0:37 START THE MACHINE
@robert42thebest lol. calm down dude, I love the Sonic Rush soundtrack. It's just sad to see when people don't recognize the samples.
