Transport Canada derives this figure by averaging the MPG across all models of the same truck. So, you're likely never get 28MPG highway with this particular truck but should not be surprised by this if you're informed about how Transport Canada calculates MPG. So based on thier measuring criteria, which they are clear about, you should not be surprised that this truck would get 22-24MPH highway at best.

@ravesta81 Definitely Not. Its 20 mpg on Highway - don't know what this guy is talking about. I mean, I don't know how 'Transport Canada' rates their millage, but you'll be disappointed if you expect to get anywhere near that 28 mpg claim. Still a sick engine though!

Every place i look it states no better then 20m/g. My 06 model with mds gets same at 70m/h. Ofcourse lower speed you'll go on highest gear, better it gets. But who wants to go no more then 60. One thing. I use 07 old body Chevy Silverado service truck and when you sit in it it's like you teleported 10 years back. I would never trade 06 Dodge for 06 Chevy. Sorry. New body types are different music, have to give them that.
