How to change field values to Proper case in Tableau

Hey Everyone,

Tableau 2022.4 introduced a most awaited Proper function for String fields.
Where string fields can be formatted using the ‘PROPER( )’ function instead of complex workaround calculations. This new function converts strings to proper case. The first letter of a text string and any letters following non-letter characters are capitalised, while the rest are converted to lowercase.

HI, super explanation ....But am new to Tableau do we have this function in older versions as well ?? if not how to do it in older versions.Thanks

Hi Kish, this function is recently introduced in the latest Tableau 2022.4 version before that this did not exist.. you can look on tableau community page for how to achieve this in previous persions, there are different calculations that can be used to achieve the same
