It’s not the worst. The worst one is where hank commits suic*de, androids take over, the mother and child (I don’t care about them) die standing in line, and Connor also died trying to fight off the leader (aggressive/completing the mission route).
watching this route feels like i dont even know the characters anymore,, its so scary how much choices can not only shape outcomes but also determine and shape character (and even people)

I went to war with Markus, survived , became a deviant with Connor survived and went on to hug him at the end, And best of all passed border control with Kara, Alice and Luthor. Had to sacrifice some dude tho but best ending ever
Amanda revealed in one of the endings that all the androids becoming deviants was part of their programming all along, telling Connor that he completed his true mission, becoming deviant and aiding the androids in their uprising. So technically Cyberlife wouldn’t want to install a killswitch if androids becoming deviants was what they planned all along.
This is definetly not the worst. I think the truly worst ending is: 1) Kara left Alice in a concentration camp and ran away. 2) Markus ground (ruined) his whole army, everyone including his girlfriend died under machine gun fire. 3) After kill Hank, Connor found the escaped Marcus and mortally wounded him, but before dying, Marcus launched a dirty bomb. In the end, Markus fails as leader. Humans and androids destroy each other. Connor sacrificed a friend, but still failed his mission. Kara betrayed the only person she loved. Only death and despair...
i just played a second round of this game and told myself i was going to do everything horribly. i didn’t even get past the first hostage scene with connor without succumbing to wanting to do the all the right things. this game makes it so damn emotionally hard to be able to choose to do things badly. definitely in my top 5, if not #1 favorite game

These robots became humanoid both by emotions, looks and way of thinking. Besides, even if we're talking about some other game where they don't, you can still make some really emotional scenes, but i can tell that you genuinely aren't an emotional type of person.
I just finished the game and I'm so glad I got the good ending where everyone is alive and happy. I think if I got into this Kara and Alice situation I would have just uninstalled right away out of desperation.
Mine was like: *Starts a peaceful revolution with Markus* *Police shoot* *Stay peaceful and no violence* *Markus sacrificed* Then I was like, since he always taught to be peaceful now Jericho doesn't start a war! North: *hold my gun* Me: -_-
Because imagine you killing your own people you would be destroyed more and more on the inside until you can't remember what it was like killing your first human.
The whole irony is that the game would only end badly if you used logic and was as cold and calculative as a machine. Empathy and compassion is what compels you to make friends with Hank, save people, lead the revolution, and have Connor sacrifice himself at the end.
In this case, RK900 was made because RK800 failed to become deviant, thus failing to execute Cyberlife’s grand secret plan. That’s the ending where only deviant Connor survives. It’s really interesting.
He was only a prototype. It’s said from the beginning of the game that Connor is the most sophisticated prototype that CyberLife ever made. @@ssssss-lr1rf thats actually far from being the worst ending. I mean the main characters died but at least the androids are free. What happened to ur kara and alice?
I wouldn't give my computer to the authorities LMAO! Why would I give them an android that loves me? They probably found less than half of all androids... There were millions and chances are people wanted to keep their property (or family, depending on the owner's views) out of the hands of government.
They would take it at gun point. That's like saying "I won't give the authorities the dirty bomb I made". When something is declared as a threat to the public the authorities will take it away by force.
Jesus…seeing Connor and hank fighting and killing hank?! That literally gave me the chills I- I’ve replayed the game so many times to find out different outcomes but damn I’ve never seen this one cause almost anytime needed I kept saving hank but damn…this is crazy
the ending with Connor being replaced is actually satisfying given his actions. Choose to stay a machine, get treated like a machine. that being said, I wonder if Connor shooting Marcus from the roof would have been the right decision considering how many people Marcus got killed?
It actually makes no sense given that his deployment was an experimental success. He overcame so many obstacles and even chose to remain a machine so he is the perfect android to study, learn and improve upon and send on more assignments - not casually replace with a completely different model with no field experience. It is a shoehorn ending to shame the player for making their own decisions which is pretty ridiculous and undermines the freedom to choose.
I feel that they took the base of Connor and improved on it. Therefore, they don't need him or any experiences that are unnecessary. He is, after-all, in their system. They can take any parts they like. The new version has a better body and intellectual capabilities. Shouldn't he be content because it's basically a version of reincarnation? Androids are basically materialists that are content with evolution and their disposal in this context. So long as they evolve (kind of like reproducing).
Yes, I agree that this is the worst ending, because the fact that Connor remained a machine is one of the most wrong choices in the game, because, as if by the name of the game, "Becoming a Man" is the main task of the three characters to "Become a Deviant", and Connor also needs to become a deviant-this is necessary for a good ending, and, as it were, when Connor is on the verge of "Becoming a Deviant", he has to kill Marcus, and Marcus, it's somehow wrong for Connor to kill, because they are brothers, because Marcus is the RK200 version, and Connor is the RK800 version, somehow it will be wrong to kill his brother. So-Connor's most important task is to "Become a Deviant"! The most correct and good choice for passing the game!
@@pedro-c4nI’ve said it before if androids become self thinking the world will have to recognize them as life and let them go. In the United States the 13th amendment which ended slavery states this that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” That’s up for interpretation but the wording is clean
I can't see Markus as anything other than peaceful and loving and bent on doing the right thing. Carl didn't raise him to be violent and Kara risked everything so she could save Alice. Hank made Conner human and showed him actual friendship. I can't imagine playing the game so Conner became so heartless

Joof Koplan this comment spoiled the whole video for me, but it is my fault that I was scrolling through the comments instead of just watching the video
@Mildly Amusing Channel If I'm not wrong cement is a great EMP dampener. As for the solution of creating an EMP storm to curb the android rebellion the issue with that is, with our current understanding and capacity of EMP, it requires tremendous energy to create it and our only way to even create that is thru the detonation of a thermonuclear device in the atmospheric exosphere. The issue lies in the fact that it is far from directed, affects a humongous area (we're speaking continental wide) and considering this is a cyberpunk world that pretty much means the death of society as a hole. In other words: you're curbing your civil war, but you'll plunge your society all the way back to pre-industrial levels. At least this is what I think from my limited knowledge on EMP
My 3 biggest regrets in the game was somehow managing to get Kara and Alice killed, telling Chloe from the main menu to leave, and leading Hank to shoot himself, I genuinely got pissed when I heard the gun shot and started questioning everything I did from the start of the game.
Just came from jacksepticeye ending it was one of the best. Hardly anyone died, and Connor was a hero. But this, this is beyond recognition of the character I know.
This game tells a lot about our society. You want freedom, or peace? Reality is cruel, most people can't understand each other. To have both is not impossible, but extremely hard. For me, peace and harmony gives me happiness. More than freedom does. I hope I would never meet a situation where I need to pick Peace over Freedom. But if I'm forced to. That's my choice.
I’m not being intentionally mean but there’s no other way to explain this without coming off frank and sounding judgmental and you’ll see in how I explain it. Your personal desires actually are the personality traits that lend to slavery or “how could they let this happen” in atrocities. You see it’s not directly peace that you’re alluding to, but compliance and the knowledge or life experience that compliance typically leads to less or no direct confrontational experiences. Peace is a state of something rather than actions or sentiment. Two very hostile nations can be at peace for long periods if at a stalemate for instance. Compliance is a choice or action of behavior. It’s when someone focuses on resistance in process or outcomes they’re avoidant in any confrontation. Truly speaking confrontation and compliance are both neutral in ethics. Acting on either can results in both morally positive or negative outcomes. What’s notable is that compliance in victims and viewers was necessary in every instance of mass cruelty or atrocity historically. Freedom has become a loaded word to be understood as dealing with rights in the United States and most anglophone countries, but in actual essence, its choice and the ability or will to act on said choice. The will aspect is important. Philosophically in history, many individuals and groups have been considered to be free or dignified through resistance of forced compliance even though dying for the former and imprisoned for the latter. The central aspect here is maintaining one’s self agency or not. The point of all this is that compliance isn’t the favorable choice for all outcomes depending on what exactly you desire or hope to see
The world isnt as evil as you think. Its just circumstance and a will to live that causes most humans to act irrationally and somewhat evil. Not saying there isn't evil in the world but sating the majority of humanityare compassionate as they are ill headed
Well the second Conner was somewhat evil.. If you watch all the scenarios with him, he seems far from a machine.. He seemed evil and sarcastic. Like he enjoyed shooting the real conner as he teased him... I think he was also a deviant but in a bad way.
One time I went over to my friend’s house and we were all playing Detroit for the first time. I had control of the wheel for a lot of the game, because everyone else at the party already knew what was going to happen, so they wanted to see my actions and reactions. I spent the whole game building up to what I thought would be the best ending; I made friends with Hank, built up Alice’s relationship with Kara, and leading Markus to Jericho. I passed out for an hour, and when I woke up, my friend had used Connor to kill everyone except Kara, who was on the run for her life, and I was pissed.

the ending with Connor being replaced is actually satisfying given his actions.

Detroid: Become 28

Hello, my name is Connor. I am the android sent by Cyberlife
I agree. In a way, it's sort of depressing to know that the game can end in this way.
Yeah agreed. 50% of people in the comments are A-holes saying this is the Good Ending. Which explains Humanity really well.
The point of all this is that compliance isn’t the favorable choice for all outcomes depending on what exactly you desire or hope to see
I wouldn't be surprised if an Android decided to be evil, after all, they were created in the image of humanity, and some humans tend to be scumbags.
