As impressive as your building of this model is the organization of your shop! Impressive! Thanks again for sharing these videos! Really looking forward to starting my Grand Valley RR!
Ha ha thank you! Growing up, my Dad was the opposite so I tend to keep it tidy. Thanks so much for watching. I’ll have a brand new video up early tomorrow morning. 👍🏼
Hi Dan, Very Good video, im glad youve put this on. I like the idea of an Engine shed. Ive still to watch part 2, but i love it so Far. I will get this kit when i get to that stage. And use your video as a Reference. Good choice of colours. Cheers Grant. Great channel ; )
Nice looking build Dan...friend of mine gave me a similar kit (finished), don’t have place for it. I have almost the same can spray paint collection... so I guess I made some good choices....part 2 awaits 😊
That’s a great point. I do have some “mistakes” on some of the windows and you’re right, they look way more realistic. Thanks for watching and your comment, it’s very much appreciated.
hello Dan...looking good so far...here's a suggestion for you..try Model Masters cement for clear plastic..cries clear so no worries if you get some on the clear plastic...BTW...i'll be giving your channel a shout out this friday 8/7...in my live stream...did you at one time have a different you tube user name???..KUTGW & thx 4 sharing...vinny
Hi Vinny, thank you so much!! That is an awesome suggestion, thank you I will pick some up. I’m always so nervous that I’ll flinch and ruin a good window!! Lol. Yes it changed to Dan’s Grand Valley Layout when I set up the channel for these videos, but I believe my user name before that was Dymondan. Thanks for the shoutout, much appreciated my friend.
Yes, they are actually a resin product, and they can handle any kind of spray paint without melting, like the old days. It makes it really nice for choosing colors and spray products.
@@DansGrandValley Thanks for the quick reply. I have to tell how I stumbled upon your video. I just finished laying all of the ballast on my railroad and am ready to start building my engine yard. Imagine the joy I got when I saw your two videos on the exact same engine house that I am going to build. Your video should make my project much easier to do.
On the roof truss I'd do a couple black spots for soot marks from steam locos if you run any. Cheers from eastern TN

Which color green did you use for the windows?
Hi Sal, I ended up using the Krylon Fusion all-in-one paint & primer. The color is Matte Spanish Moss. Thanks for watching.
