A center support bearing allows the driveshaft to be split into two sections for longer-wheelbase vehicles such as trucks and SUVs, as well as some passenger cars. The bearing is sometimes called a “hanger bearing,” and it supports the two halves of the driveshaft between the transmission and the differential.

Can this cause vibration

My front driveshaft wobbles at 25 mph and there is vibration at that speed. I think its the center support bearing. I got under my S10 and grabbed the driveshaft at the bearing area and shook it up and down and it does have play and makes a clicking noise so I am going to have the support bearing replaced. I hope it cures it.
