    My son is not ready for this. After lockdown he is too scared (before lockdown we went swimming almost every day and he was ok). He won't even wear arm bands with a pool noodle, we have to hold both his hands. Do you have any videos for improving his confidence in the water before he gets to this stage? He is 3. We are now able to swim most days.

      I completely understand! Many of my little swimmers are nervous to get started! It really helps to let your child associate fun and joy with being around or in the pool! The best thing for my nervous students has been patience, showing your own confidence, and letting them play safely and supervised even in a baby pool! If he is really terrified, you could even let him start in the bathtub with toys and bring the same toys with you when you eventually go to the shallowest part of the pool :) I hope this helps and that your son will become a happy and safe little swimmer soon

      im a swim instructor and some parents have told me they try to geach their kids, but their kids sometimes do not pay attention or take it seriously because the parent is teaching. maybe it is bot how you are teaching but just the fact that you are related.

      You're supposedly born with a few natural "in-liquid" movements the fresher from the womb they are. Saw some special about how a newborn can face up better than a one year old can without training either way. Just an instinct they lose since they're not in the liquidy womb anymore.

    why is the turning motion important

    • @heidivillaran5625
      @heidivillaran5625 6 років тому +4

      I imagine it's because it gets the legs working hard; if you have them just "kick," there's a good chance you'd get a very weak motion, but when they have to "bicycle" in a circle, you'd probably get a more forceful resemblance of the egg beater kick.

    • @shaunnel5390
      @shaunnel5390 5 років тому

      Advanced water treading often uses the 'eggbeater kick' very similar to the kick needed to rotate in circles

    PROBLEM :Infant and toddler drowning remains the number 1 cause of childhood tragedy's
    SOLUTION:
    Create a tiny sensor that goes on the tag of diapers and toddlers clothing that will sound an alarm on the parents cell phone when the sensor or child is under water putting a stop to this issue. If you like this idea and want to put your support into something this positive please do so

    I'm in the US & they are pool noodles here. I have never heard woggle! This is amazing! From now on I will call them woggles and when my kids go to the pool with friends there will be a very confusing day for them where my children are calling it a woggle & no one will have a clue what on earth they is talking about & it will take a while for their friends to figure out they are referring to a noodle! I'm so happy with this hahaha

      Hold baby towards you and say in a sing song voice “one, two, three blowfish,” then blow into their face and dunk them. Do this consistently and they will learn to hold their breath when they’re under water.

      It can take time for a child to learn to swim! But, not all swim lessons are as effective as others! I have always found that the best way for my little swimmers to learn is consistency! The more time they have in the pool, the better! Especially during the winter, many children don't see a pool for months and then when they return to swim lessons they forgot everything!
