I recently went to pick up an inventory Model 3 Long Range AWD and it was in pathetic shape. The paint had dozens of problems, the glove box wouldn't open on the screen, and after rebooting the system to attempt to fix that, all connectivity in the car (bluetooth, wifi, and cellular) went down with no remedy. The local Tesla general manager was only focused on getting me to accept the vehicle and schedule a service appointment. Needless to say, this was my first and last experience with Tesla. "Steering wheel being off is the only issue" is just a ridiculous thing to say. Stop glazing a company with horrific quality control.
I'm surprised you chose a 10,000 miles/year lease. Do you spend your life on your desktop and just go out now and then for food? Maybe you have an Olds 98 for your primary vehicle and just set the Tesla out front for show.
How on earth is are Teslas so dirt cheap in the US? The Model S for 63k? The cheapest option in Europe would be 93k and both come from the same factory.
It is not that cheap, Tesla deliberately tries to deceive customers about the pirce. You have to change the price on the website to not include totally made up numbers about how much you could safe in gas money if you buy an EV. Then the price for the Model S then becomes 75k and you still have to add the compulsory delivery and order fee which brings up the price to $76.6k. In the US, prices are shown without taxes and fees, so you might end up with an additional 9%-10%, so the Model S ends up costing you $83.5k-84k, so the actual prices are much closer together. All Model S and X in Europe come from the US, so you have to add some logistic costs, it is not that much tho. Tesla knows that not many would buy these vehicles in Europe, and you have to be a naive buyer or a gullible fanboy to do so and therefor you could try to charge higher prices. But even if you pay the $84k it is still one of the cheapest build and most outdated vehicle on the market for that kind of money. Fortunately, not that many are buying these "luxury" vehicles from Tesla, not even in the US. But besides that, generally speaking, to make EVs affordable you need state and government incentives otherwise not many would would buy them, especially Tesla would sell almost no vehicles at all without government incentives because their vehicles are quite pricey. I mean the Model Y LR RWD costs 46,6k + taxes and fees right now, so around 50k! That is not cheap! No comparison to modern hybrid cars which are way more usable and even have better interiors. A Honda Civic Hybrid or a Toyota Prius cost around 35k with good specs, a typical Toyota Camry also costs 35k. Only with public money and incentives, in a lot of cases it can go up to 10k or above in the form of tax reduction or direct subsidies, Tesla's become affordable. 50k for the Model Y LR RWD suddenly becomes 40k, which is much more appealing. These incentives directly bolsters Tesla's profit margins by the way, because otherwise they would need to lower the list prices of their vehicles by quite a lot if they want to still sell some of them (+ additional profits are generated through regulatory credits and with less EVs sold Tesla would be allowed to sell less of them).
@@Aztasu "Tesla would sell almost no vehicles at all without government incentives". Yet Tesla is very successful in Australia with basically no incentives until the past two years. Your theory does not work in reality.
@@Neojhun dude those are facts and numbers, wtf are you talking about. By the way, about Australia: "Tesla Australia sales slump for seventh consecutive month", this month will be 8 months of continuous decline. The only bigger market where Tesla is not losing sales so far is China. China pretty much props up Teslas sales and profit margins alone. Once people there stop buying outdated and overpriced Teslas and buy the way more modern + cheaper local EV brands Tesla is in for a wild ride down.

@ True, it might help in cold starts below -5F. I doubt it would be noticeable for most Colorado conditions they could test in, but would be good to see tested.
Cannot do that at Tesla. They deliver all their cars with panel gaps, bad paint and issues like wheel alignment. But they will fix it afterwards if you point them out during handover.

@That car should not have been sold in its horrible condition. The door doesn’t even fit! Those stone chips are from transport. If you bought a vehicle from a reputable brand they would have fixed those issues before delivery to you. Shame on you for supporting a right wing conspiracy theorist.
Purchased our M3 LR RWD 2 months ago. It has 2600 miles and averages 204 Wh/mi. It's a great vehicle for the purpose we use it for. But the test drive, purchasing and delivery experience was like buying a refrigerator at Best Buy. When you drive out of state to purchase a vehicle you would expect a thank you instead of here's your paperwork, next. I'm sure that's the future and I'm just old. 😅
Not allowing you to drive the car or even get in it before you accept delivery tells you everything you need to know about Tesla. They know they're selling a product of poor quality and just hope you'll deal with it.
Im really shocked how bad the built quality of the us cars is. A Model S Plaid in the showroom next to a chines Model 3 Highland was crazy to spot the imperfections on the Model S. The Model S looked like it had a massive accident and as poorly rebuilt, next to it the chinese Model 3 Highland which was in absolute perfect condition regarding panel gaps, paint quality, fitting, interior etc.
Fremont and Austin are factories held together by duct tape. Quality is not much of a concern. Just cost and speed. But people keep buying them so nothing to fix 🤷
would buy an ev a rivian to be exact but even on their site they say not to as no service centers near by. What made gm ford and Chrysler was the dealer slash service network everywhere. If dealerless models are going to work. They need to build out service network before charging imo but would be a great way to kill two birds one stone.

@@Aztasu LOL fresh spam account created Feb 12, 2024. No real person would type out that diatribe, that was a canned script.
@@Aztasu "Tesla deliberately tries to deceive customers about the pirce" Yes, it is not stated on their Web Site. You can not open a Browser on your Linux Tablet and look it up.
Congratulations Jordan on your new Model 3…
Had my LFP RWD for 3 years now and it’s by far the best car I’ve ever owned .
Since BeardedTesla has been to ‘Tuk on the Arctic Ocean, and I just watched TrailRecon do the same journey, how about a Colorado to Darian Gap road trip , showing how to charge in Central America ?
Are you up for it ?
His? He's renting the damn thing for 3 years and giving it back to the dealer afterwards.
12 miles comes from the surge Model 3, IIRC.
Use the referals to buy back seat covers.
Have you done a video booking in on the app with a loan car?!
hey, how's the LR RWD audio system? Please be honest.
Cool delivery.
When are you going to wrap that CT? You said in 6 months. A color ppf would be ideal.
What all weather floor mats do you guys recommend for the Mod 3?
I’d be curious if heater performance in cold weather differs compared to the dual motor spec. I know the motors are used to create cabin and battery heat, so dual motors might be faster but I’ve never seen a real world comparison.
It uses the heat pump. Far more efficient than the motor. It does scavenge from motors but not main source.
@@TheLastMoccasin I meant when it is very cold. As the temperature falls heat pumps become less efficient.
@ True, it might help in cold starts below -5F. I doubt it would be noticeable for most Colorado conditions they could test in, but would be good to see tested.
i wonder if you set your destination to the charger you are at will it turn on the pre heat while you re charging ??
I have the model y to test drive for 2 days. The fsd is insane and it parks itself accurately
Rock chips after 12 miles? 21 years in W211 with some rock chips at 180000 miles...
Burger King wrap billed to Out of Spec Dave!
Good timing. Tax credit is going away very soon.
congrats on the ride! i'm doing only supecharging and uber with mine!
How much does it costs to charge your car with superchargers in Colorado?
@@shivarally$12-$25 for full tank 365 miles long range
@@jimmyletv and bro RWD works fine in winters Of Colorado?
Why didn't you have them correct all the issues before you left
Cannot do that at Tesla. They deliver all their cars with panel gaps, bad paint and issues like wheel alignment. But they will fix it afterwards if you point them out during handover.
Man I Wish Monthly payments were that cheap in Canada 298$ usd in CAD is approx 418$ but its like 200$ more than that for some reason when i Check its 598$ 😢
Just over $400 net per month, no money down?? Take that and drive away fast!!! Love the thought put into that. I’m an ex banker and I’m impressed!
I can’t wait for Mercedes releasing the new CLA EV on their new MMA platform. I hope they give you guys anchor immediately to test drive.
Congrats!
You should do a Range test with the most efficient car but on the most efficient Tires and wheels, Would you Hit 400 miles? That will be awesome to see.
Congrats Jordan!!!!
Supporting Maga and Leon in one hit. Gfy
So I should get a sub-optimal car for my life? Not a chance.
@That car should not have been sold in its horrible condition. The door doesn’t even fit! Those stone chips are from transport. If you bought a vehicle from a reputable brand they would have fixed those issues before delivery to you. Shame on you for supporting a right wing conspiracy theorist.
Looking at getting the Model Y LR RWD. Would definitely be an upgrade from my 21 Model 3 SR+
Same car different dimensions. Not much difference. If your current m3 is well built I wouldn’t gamble on getting a new Tesla.
I can’t believe Jordan didn’t check the sound system before accepting delivery
Purchased our M3 LR RWD 2 months ago. It has 2600 miles and averages 204 Wh/mi. It's a great vehicle for the purpose we use it for. But the test drive, purchasing and delivery experience was like buying a refrigerator at Best Buy. When you drive out of state to purchase a vehicle you would expect a thank you instead of here's your paperwork, next. I'm sure that's the future and I'm just old. 😅
Nope. They make good EV’s but customer service and build quality is basically non existent.
It would be really cool to get a DIY Tesbros wrap.
Got 2025 rwd lr. Alignment is very bad from factory. 2 months appointment 😢
Who's driving Francie's old VinFast?
Hey ! Why "Teslas black is terrible" ? Iam looking for buy new M3 in black. Tell me more please ! 😊
would buy an ev a rivian to be exact but even on their site they say not to as no service centers near by. What made gm ford and Chrysler was the dealer slash service network everywhere. If dealerless models are going to work. They need to build out service network before charging imo but would be a great way to kill two birds one stone.
16:30 wow! A white spider. That is amazing. Cute little thing. Looks like it is trying to get back into the car. I wonder if that was included with white interior, or did it come with the snow?
When I saw that, my thought was: I would definitely call my Tesla a White Spider 😂 .. no overthinking, simple, and it has a story to tell.
LR RWD doesn't come with a subwoofer?
There will be lots we'll learn over the next 2 years. Handling snow in Colorado with the 2WD will be interesting.
Hey Jordan, nice car! 😊
So, is it legal?
