Kathleen Kennedy has inserted her doppelganger into just about every film Lucasfilm has released since she took the reigns.
Yep, even in Willow too! That narcissistic and selfish woman just can’t help herself.
It’s interesting that she has chosen specifically British heroes to take over what were American franchises. Luke skywalker was an all-American farmboy, replaced by a pretty British actress. I think this is intentional, and it speaks to them pushing globalism in their famed message.
No other explanation for the lack of looks and personality
Fan fiction author insert characters.
put a woke-feminazi woman in charge and you get a catastrophe,
bud light anyone??
GM anyone?
Disney anyone?
to say this is a catastrophe is the understatement of the millennium...
I genuinely think having a white brunette woman as one of the leads is a legit requirement for all of Kathleen Kennedy’s movies.
And British, for some reason.
@@silverscorpio24I was about to comment on that 😅
If brain transplants were practical, Daisy Ridley and PWB would be afraid of KK replacing one of their brains with hers.
@@silverscorpio24 I think KK as an Irish woman, had inferiority complex, and really wanted to be British.
How has Keira Knightly escaped KK's fap list?
Assaulting an 80 year old man is vile - not giving this movie a penny
Oh geeze, clutch those pearls a little harder
There is no doubt in my mind that she was meant to replace him but they changed the ending with reshoots.
@jamescartwright181 I think there were talks of replacing him after the first film came out.
Makes perfect sense when you read the plot spoilers and also that they had a show planned.
@@attackerangel2951There were, and they went away after Letitia Wright pissed off the woke mob. Chadwick's death let Marvel do something they were gonna get heat for from both sides & get out somewhat unscathed.
Agreed. I even bet in one of those replaced clips she took Indy’s hat.
Yes, Ray Skywalker or Phoebe Waller-Jones in this case.
Why can't these "strong female characters" create a hero of their own instead of infecting and destroying other known franchises, just like a virus.
Dial of Destiny makes Crystal Skull look good in comparison? That's quite an achievement.
Wow😮
Very much so. Crystal Skull is trash.
it's the modern form, I call it 'retro active film making', it's where you make a film that makes your previous film look good. It happens a lot these days.
This can't be true.
At least Indy was happy at the end of Crystal Skull. That doesn't seem to be the case here
Best example of Fords physical acting is the plane fight is Raiders, he takes a punch and has a .5 sec leg wobble where you feel he took a hard hit but doesn’t go all Melissa McCarthy body flailing mode. Great subtle touch.
Or when he’s on a ledge. Any ledge. He has very distinct mannerisms as Indy, especially.
Rule of thumb when writing period characters: Never advance them out of the period they initially started in. Tarzan, Sherlock Holmes, etc. Indy movies could have worked very well always being set in the 1930s.The world was just as big then as it is now.
Even bigger, in some ways. Good advice
The sad thing about the need in movies( mostly movies, not so much tv) to push an empowered independent female character, is that, that character has to assert herself as the hero, when the movie is not her own, and she's not the star. The female lead has to make the male star and hero look incompetent, clumsy and unsure of himself, all the while, serving as a tag-along to the female costar, who eventually takes over the hero role...and doing a cringy and ugly job. Phebes and Kathleen's agenda is obvious. Hell, they both spelled it out. It's like a hostile takeover from Indy by way of Helena.
I'm thinking Captain America. But in a lot of ways, World War 2 cap and avengers cap are basically two different characters.
It depends how you do it. House is just Sherlock Holmes with a medical degree, and it worked. Hell even the first couple of seasons of Sherlock were great, until Moffat did the same stupid shit with Watson's Wife that he did with Clara on Doctor Who: get obsessed with his own female creation and make the show all about her instead of the male character people were there to watch.
The problem with the Crystal Skull wasn't the setting or the time period - it was the terrible characters, especially super-unlikable Shia LeBeouf, bad CGI, and just general stupidity. Hell, james Bond is a "Period Character" he absolutely belongs to the Cold War era - but Casino Royale showed how you could still do an amazing take on him in the modern world. Then Quantum of Solace showed us how to make the whole scenario boring AF.
Trying to point at the characters, the setting, the adherence to the source material or lack thereof ... none of those things are the problem. Having an extremist political agenda that is driven by racism, sexism, bigotry and hatred is the problem. When the only message your movies have is "Straight = Bad, White = Bad, Men = Bad" then they're going to suck, regardless of what time period they're set in.
Good point. However, talented writers and filmmakers could still make it work to some extent. The problem these days is that Hollywood is full of very poor 'talent'.
(Side note - James Bond was moved out of his initial period and it worked fairly well. Because smart people were working on it.)
This review just makes me angrier and angrier the more I hear it. He was such a great character. Why did they need to make him a lonely, alcoholic curmudgeon? He could have just as easily been made a content, happily married, wise man that imparts bestows the benefit of his experience on young archeologists and adventurers alike and it wouldn't affect the plot at all. Think of Henry Jones, Sr. in Last Crusade and although he was more of a bookworm than adventurer, Indy still looked up to him as a father and mentor.
The creative team behind this project clearly don't even like Indiana Jones. Now why did Disney hire them?
Are you really shocked? Hollywood wants to make every iconic white male character a loser, they did it to Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
@@BishopWalters12and James Bond and John Connor.
The film was written by man h8ters. Well DUH, what were you expecting?
@@casualcausalityy Kennedy is a fem. She h8s men. She hires other fems.
No offence, but the average guy must be in complete denial of reality not to understand what is going on
I am still waiting for people to point out that she is British. Everyone seems to be missing the historic dynamics here of a wealthy British member of landed gentry talking down to an American hero about imperialism. It’s the most hypocritical thing ever.
As a Brit I completely agree with this statement. This could well have been PWB's creative contribution to the story. If so, then it shows how stupid she really is.
"She's written as a man, baby" to paraphrase Austin Powers.
Great reference lol
I read this as man baby first and the I looked closer. Man baby is pretty funny though.
*as a narc
No problem at all. We’ll sit back, not go see the new “Indiana Jones” movie and enjoy the fact that, when enough fans reject this garbage, the result will be Disney losing another 150-200 million dollars. We’ll smother it very quickly and it won’t cost any of us a dime. Then, we’ll repeat this process and over again for every other movie they make to punish them for their insolence. Let’s just see how much money they can stomach losing. Bring it on Karen…
"...punish them for their insolence."
Yes! It's like you read my mind.
I don't know, they're so invested in the agenda, I'm not sure they won't squander it all.
@@ghjcmo Oh they will. And it will cost them a lot of money and it won’t cost us anything because we won’t see any of it.
We don't have to protest, or burn anything down, or block a road, and it's a hundred times more effective.
AI and Deep Fake cannot replace good acting, editing and top-notch directors. Hollywood is beyond creative bankruptcy.
Huge Indy fan, it's going to be tough but I can't bring myself to buy a ticket and fund this agenda any more
I just assume it's a fake and not canon. I haven't missed a thing.
@@MarklovesAngels It IS fake and not canon. If something contradicts previously established lore and plot points, it can´t be canon.
Are you choosing not to watch this because some random "critics" say it has an agenda, or are you doing this on your own accord?
@@CaptToilet I am choosing not to watch this as it comes from the same studio and person Kathleen Kennedy whose undercurrent feminist agenda was rammed down our throats in those awful Star Wars sequels , I only have to watch the trailer to see that this is going to be the exact same thing
@@Jim17735 OMG! You admitted it is a fem agenda. You didn't hide behind the cowardly ''woke'' term. Do you know how rare this is? I salute you sir 🎉
Crystal Skull was made by Lucas and Spielberg and it was still a terrible film, with Ford already being too old for the role then.
This…this is just unbelievable and further proof that we’re in the wrong timeline.
Harrison wasn't the problem though.
The problema were 1. Shia LaBeouf was unlikeable actor. 2. Commies were lame villains. 3. UFO and Alien instead of religious and supernatural.
I love Crystal Skull. It was not a terrible film. Many love it. It had great reviews when it debuted and still has a fresh rating back before Rotten Tomatoes became corrupt
Crystal Skull fell apart because it was too over the top. It also relied way too heavily on CGI. It didn't look or feel like an Indiana Jones movie. The aliens also felt too fantastical and came across wrong.
@@davidjacobs8558 I think the commies with their "Division of Psychic Warfare" could have been a really neat twist on things, if the writers would have leaned into the more metaphysical and brainwashing parts of it. But, yeah, your other two points are spot on.
@@TheLastKentuckyIrregular9524I agree. That tree swinging scene with the CGI monkeys felt so jarring.
There are only three movies
They may have tried to write her as a female indy but from what ive heard, they failed. Because we LIKE Indy. He is easy to like, he's charming and humble and shows a strong bond to the other characters like Sallah, Brody, Oxley... you get a feeling they've known each other for years even if we only see minutes. That's good writing and something we're losing; an emotionally open masculine man. If you took Raiders Indy and cast a female, you wouldn't have to change 99% of anything and you'd get a genuinly strong female character because its a strong character regardless of gender. They can't see that because they don't know how to write kindness. The female characters now either belittle or sexualise the male characters and that's something Indy never did. I never fancied Jones, but I'd rather be a girl in his world than a girl in anything KK/PWB spew out.
That's not entirely true - Indy's interplay with the female leads in the first 3 movies is clearly part of their appeal to men/boys - it wouldn't work with a woman in that role. Make no mistake, the sexy/beatiful Indiana Jones women of the first 3 were a selling point of the movies just as Bond girls were for James Bond, not that that's bad.
Also assuming they could do a good Indy spinoff with a female (which I doubt Disney today could) you would actually need a charismatic star to play in it - which makes casting Waller-Bridge such an odd choice. They used to say about male stars - do men want to be them and women want to be with them? If so you've got a winner. But Indy's core audience is largely male, how many will be willing to watch a Helena show? Do they want to be her? No and no. So then if women are the new core audience which as far as we know there isnt a large market for - do women want to be the Helena character? Do men want to be with her? I cant answer the first question but to the second it's a hard no.
@@poocrayon4588 Oh I absolutely do NOT want Disney to do a female-Indy! They're not capable of doing it well, I don't know who is now. I didn't mean to suggest that Raiders would've been the same movie, but I meant that the character could (theoretically!) be played by a woman because it's only his appearance that's overtly masculine, the personality/dialogue isn't. I don't know if I'm explaining that in a way that makes sense...
Anyway I do agree there's no real female market for an Indy-style movie with a female lead even if the actress was loved among women now. PWB thinks she can reboot Tomb Raider so I guess she's not familiar with just how much of the success there was down to Angelina's sex appeal! Better off ruining Nancy Drew...
@@poocrayon4588I think you've missed the point: woke Hollywood does not know how to write kindness. Or repercussions.
Today's "strong female character" are over the top tomboys, without any of the feminity.
@@timmholl9238 This. I'd say Marion was a tomboy but back then Hollywood knew how to write good strong female characters without stripping them of their femininity or the need to belittle their male counterpart.
What's astonishing to me is people in charge (KK) get paid millions to create artistic projects, and all they can produce is redundant garbage.
You’re right about his physical acting.
I remember River Phoenix saying how long he practiced to get his idiosyncrasies down.
River Phoenix would have had such a great career. He would have been another Leonardo DiCaprio.
But then he snorted coke with Johnny Depp and Red Hot Chili Peppers..
River had a chance to pick up Ford's mannerisms playing his son The Mosquito Coast, which is a great flick, if you haven't seen it.
Honestly it’s crazy to even make an Indy movie at Ford’s age. He should basically be a cameo in a Lara Croft movie, like an American professor at her university. A fun 5 min scene for laughs.
Even if this movie didnt suck in every other way and hollywood didnt want to destory the male heroes - it would still fail for the simple reason that its insane to think an 80 year old can carry an action movie as its star.
He'll appear in another one in 2028 -- Indiana Jones and the Diaper of Destiny.
Indiana Jones is my favorite movie character, I will be skipping this.
I learned to do this a while back, after seeing The Force Awakens. It's better to just ignore the new stuff, so they can't corrupt your memories.
Word:)
I feel for you. It's like Terminator for me. Dark Fate pissed me off so bad. Diiigusting
It's quite an achievement to prove everyone that thought it couldn't get worse than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull wrong. We never would have thought these movies would every get a sense of disdain for their own heroes. Bad movies can happen. No one expected the bad movies to also start insulting the fans. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a bad movie. Dial of Destiny sounds like a bad movie that also gives fans the finger. Really wish Hollywood would make being an actual fan of an IP a requirement for working on it.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of toxic matriarchy
"It just made me sad."
That's the precise reaction I've had watching these hacks ruin franchise after franchise.
That's why I won't watch this vile cashgrab. Once the box office run is over, I can better pretend it doesn't exist. No need to twist the knife on the wound, I don't need to approach my face to a turd to know how it's likely to smell
Maybe we could call this film - A Phoebe Waller Bridge Too Far.
Based on Ford's recent comments, it was old Ford as the body of younger Indy, not a stunt double's. It was the method they used in The Irishman with old DeNiro playing the body while the face was de-aged. That's what I took from Ford's recent comments about him trying to replicate his younger movements.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the personification of Brie Larson's left foot.
Most of what I've seen says this movie is terrible. I saw a few reviews today saying it's not so bad. I'll probably skip it and maybe watch it on streaming eventually.
One of the "good" reviews is suggesting that bad reviews are just shilling, and that audiences usually like what critics do not. The funny thing is that they write for a shill site. Epic shilling right there.
I know I’m dreaming, but I hope this is the final nail in the coffin for KK at Lucasfilm.
It's rumored that Disney is in talks with George Lucas to sell Lucasfilm back to him. I look for Disney to sell off assets to avoid total collapse. It will likely be sold off in the end.
Nope, she is taking over. It’s all WOKE baby.
Disney just can't stop playing the flop machines at the casino.
Don't lets the coffee girl become head of a major studio, EVER!!
_The Lost Crusade_ opens with a train fight featuring a much younger Indy played by River Phoenix. It's almost perfect, down to the now-famous cut using the hat tip to transition to older Indy on a ship.
So the opening is definitely trying to pay homage, but it's a poor facsimile 🤷🏻♂️
A criticism of Gregory Peck was that he acted only with his face (Canadian novelist Robertson Davies, in his journalism days, complained about that). Not so for Harrison Ford!
Agreed. It might be why Peck always left me bored watching him.
I see what you mean, but if anybody could get away with that it's Gregory Peck and his screen presence. He did well with the action in "Big Country" and "Guns of Navarone".
John Wayne acted with his whole body. AND his face. Miss ya, Duke!
Ah, maybe that explains why I find GP's manner a bit stiff. Though at least that suited some of his characters, like Atticus Finch.
And yet, Peck is renowned as one of the greats. Did that guy see him in Twelve O'Clock High? He's quite physical in that movie as well as many others.
No need to worry about spoilers, Doomcock was right
"Indiana Jones and the Hapless Harridan": 20-30 minutes of adventure from LucasFilm and Disney.
Indiana Jones and the Laming of the Shrew
I don't think it's possible for this harpie to be worse than I think she's going to be... Won't be paying for this.
Since she is not only pretentious, but written as both a Mary Sue and liar, they managed to finally get a self-insert for Kennedy right. Skipping this is the only way to enjoy it.
I’ve loathed her since the first with her Fleabag garbage, but I would have been ambivalent if it wasn’t for the chattering classes gushing over it and her. It revolted me.
Yes, the correct AND one and only title of that movie is indeed "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
Just to show how out of touch I am... what are people calling it, if not Raiders of the Lost Ark?!?
Indiana Jones was conceived as a real male hero... and it worked! Okay, these flilms were basically based on a kind of 1950's comic universe, like Star Wars. Not really great 'art' but stunningly successful movie entertainment. However, the people in charge at Disney have disdain for the entire idea of the 'real male hero'. They dislike heroes, because they're not heroines. Deconstructin feminist dogmas in movies, is hardly worth it, sigh.
Everyone will be watching this review because we all know we won’t be going anywhere near this garbage movie
Word:)
I'll be watching it with blackbeard because I'm a masochist
Thank you
You saved me 10 min of fast forwarding through this in a several months when it’s free on steaming
A Kathleen Kennedy doppelganger??? What a brave and innovative concept! I'm sure it will meet with nothing but the most resounding success!
Why are “actresses” such as Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Akwafina pushed on us? I truly do not get it ?? With mid looks, mid acting, it makes zero sense.
Mid looks? Because modern Hollywood is against “male gaze “
Men being attracted to women is baad
I actually think Akwafina has a lot of natural charisma, and I enjoy seeing her in movies. PWB ... not so much.
@@dashx1103 I guess her as “scuttle” and that awful song through me for a loop.., but I can agree I can stand her way more than PWB
I seriously thought at one point he would find the tesserac
This is why 90% of what I watch are movies that were released before 2000. I'm not even going to bother with this on streaming.
I see James Mangold haunted with, "Doomcock was right."
I stay Angry all the time.
Thanks for the review Chris. The one upside of these terrible movies that they're releasing now, is I get to watch enjoyable bad reviews by people like you. It may not be worth the billions of dollars that they spend on these things, but it's at least worth the time for me to watch your reviews. Thanks so muc
It's like watching a sports team lose then enjoying the after show talking heads ripping on them for sucking so hard
Do you think the classroom scene in Dial of Destiny is a callback to the classroom scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark (where a room full of girls are crushing on Indy)?
It'd be funny if people were to get up and leave the theater immediately once it jumps ahead to 1969. I wouldn't do that or encourage anyone to, because the stronger message is not give them our money in the first place, but it would still be funny to hear of other people doing that.
I told everyone back in 2021 … They left part of a script on a bench in Glasgow where they were Filming, 13 Pages … It was leaked on Line …
That anyone in-universe could ever find Indiana Jones boring or uninteresting.. I can't suspend my disbelief for that.
There has been so much focus on Helena Shaw (rightly so) but I'm curious about the character of Agent Mason, played by Shaunette Renèe Wilson.
Is there any historical antecedent for a black female section chief of the CIA in 1969?
The character seems to be as much a product of historical revisionism as Netflix's black Cleopatra.
If I'm wrong about this, I'd like to know.
Cheers to Chris Gore! One of the few voices I trust
Kennedy has two more films to complete her Lucasfilm mission, 'American Graffiti 3: The Gay Years' and 'THX 1138.2: Transformer'.
Lmao the gay years 🤣
Of cause only females and trannys will be cast.
why is disney obsessed with murdering the characters of men.
Reparation thinking.
I can’t say for sure it’s great now, as I read it and enjoyed it a lot when I was a lot younger but there is a novel, The Spear by James Herbert, a fantastic English horror author. From foggy memory it’s a great thriller/horror style book revolving around the Spear of Destiny.
One aspect that disturbs me about the film, is that it looks like PWB has a little coloured kid as a side kick. It raises uncomfortable questions for me.
Disney will only hire writers/ directors/ producers that have no love for the franchises and are much older than them.
They could find people with passion, but fuck that. Terrible writing + generic directing × tons of marketing = crap movie.
Lost me casting Zola - archetypical Nasti mad scientist - as Indy's pal, when we all know he's working for Hydra all the time :)
To me, Toby Jones always plays Toby Jones, in whatever he's in......
Fleabag Jones and the Dial of Feminism.
😂😂😂😂
What was wrong with Captain Marvel?
I'm just thankful I'll save money on Overpriced Movie Tickets, Overpriced Refreshments, and Two and one half Long hours of wasted Time I would never get back.
I enjoyed this review, it summed up where this film fails, but what was the point of having the other guy there?
Is this a re-post? I feel like I've already watched this. UA-cam is becoming so saturated with film critique channels that I'm losing track of what I already watched. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
No one watched Fleabag and thought "this chick would make a great Indiana Jones." 😅
if they had given us a move with old indy, even a digitally de aged Ford, it would have been a hit that would have dwarved top gun maverick...
There was and is no need to make 5 indiana jones films. It reflects more that the movie industry just remake the same branding over and over again
They should give Indy the "Bubba Ho-Tep" treatment.
1:35 Its the Spear of Destiny. Which is what the film should have been about, not a magic time traveling dial.
They should have made it like National Treasure or The Ninth Gate, as an old scholar revealing an ancient secret
I won't waste my time with this film. Not even to hate it.
The thing is, Indiana Jones is a sole adventurer, he doesn't have side kicks. He ionteracts withy other characters but ultimatelly it is up to himself to fix whatever what needs fixing. It seems that they didn't understand that doing this movie.
nah he's had some great side kicks..
We must be thinking of two different movies. He has always had sidekicks and they sometimes get him out of jams.
Short Round. 'Nuff said.
@@dashx1103 literally 💯
Phoebe Waller-Bridge rewrote the script to end with her wearing Indy's hat and holding his whip.
Would have been awesome to have India go in an adventure with his son and maybe have to rescue a grand child - would have been awesome to see grandpa indie - or even have his son still die but him taking over care of a granddaughter or something
I have to ask: what was the point of the first part of the movie? Why was it even part of the story?
The body double for Ford was probably restricted in his movements by the director to make the face faking easier.
Thanks for that review, I don't want to see them desecrate one of my favorite characters!! Indy can't be replaced...thats it!
2:50 Body language is everything. The same thing bothered me about Rogue One’s Darth Vader and Salvation’s T-800.
Vader was too elegant and expressive with his fingers in Rogue One compared to David Prowse’s firm, bulky hands. The Hayden captured it perfectly in the Obi-Wan series.
T-800 in Salvation was too smooth in motion and it had a hunch.
The T-800s in T2 and T1 were puppets. They were stiff, robotic, and upright. They looked like animated skeletons from old serials thanks to stop motion and puppeteering. That was lost with the mocap. Genisys and Dark Fate animated them perfectly to match the older films.
I use to really like Harrison Ford. The fugitive being one of my favorites. But the tail end of his career and life have been a mistake. Unless he desperately needed the cash. His legacy has rusted a bit thanks to KK
But I expect Indian Jones to absolutely destroy the box office. 2 billion? With the undeniable star power that is Phoebe Waller Bridge.
Naw. It’s rarely the money. It’s the ego. He wants to leave on a high note.
I sometimes wonder whether Calista Flockhart has been bad for him. She went all out to get him and succeeded. I really don’t know whether she’s to blame or not for his behavior: might be innocent.
He hasn’t done a good movie in 20 years. Terrible choices, and he looks asleep in most of his recent movies. He doesn’t care, just pay me.
I was watching behind the scenes, and they said it was Harrison Ford in the deage portion of the movie not another actor.
If they wanted to do this right they should have made the female protagonist a blonde. The daughter of Elsa from the last crusade. Indy AND Marian are mourning the loss of his son and a train wreck. He goes to class and all of the teens are disinterested but all the girls are staring at the front of the class but instead of them looking at Indy they are looking at his young assistant. After the class ends Indy pays the young man, and says something like “thanks for keeping them interested.” (Make the young man a red herring as Indy’s protege but instead he’s just a jock with no interest in archeology.
A cute blond stays behind to ask a question which for a brief moment makes Indy feel young again, but there’s something oddly familiar about the girls features. “Do I know you?”
She says “No but I hope you knew my father”. Revealing she’s Elsa’s daughter and she found Elsa’s notes on her misadventures with a doctor Jones.
She wants to know about how her mother and father who both died when she was young. At which point they are attacked by bad guys chasing Elsa’s daughter.
Make the daughter have no real interest in archeology but she has a quick mind and a sharp tongue like her mother and she’s learned multiple languages from trying to pour over her mothers notes.
Unexpectedly the adventure leads to Indy telling stories of her mother and his father, helping him get over the loss of his son as he sees someone with the ability to carry on his legacy in a round about way.
Critically you have her solve obstacles in a different way from Indy in a feminine way. Her blond blue eyes letting her woo men into doing her bidding etc. Something accentuating that she is the smarts and passion for history Indy has but a different way of solving things. While he goes in punching and kicking she uses her feminine wiles to achieve the objective. Introduce Marian to teach her some of those skills too.
Man, now I really want to make an Indiana Jones movie base on all these UA-cam comments I’m reading. These are some legitimately good ideas
Kathleen Kennnedy wanted a new Indiana as a woman, hence the reshoots when it did not resinate with the test audience! I have seen all Indiana Jones movies at the cinema, but will give this one a miss! Why Kennedy still is calling the shots is beyond me, should have been sacked a long time ago!
Indiana Jane and the Dial of Diversity
Curious: do you think it would have been any better or worse if the secondary character were instead Mutt Williams?
Anything would be a step up from this feminist thing
Why can't movies today have A couples who are happily married and B an attractive woman. Why do all the women have to be stand in for Kathleen Kennedy ??????????????
2:50 To add onto my previous comment, I can see what you describe in the trailer alone. Jones is stiff. He almost mirrors his older self in how he moves. Limited range of motion.
Show of hands: You paying to see this movie or pass?
Why couldnt they have a adult Shortround in this movie. Indy allowed to wear the hat in Temple of Doom.
Waller-bridge has anti-charisma. She's a black hole of likability. The mere sight or sound of her is grating on the very soul.
Pre-red pill, I was told fleabag was amazing. Got part way through episode 2, I think. She was the problem and really unwatchable
Might watch the first 20 mins and then walk out. That might work. :)
Alan with long hair looks good. Makes u look skinny
Why was the other dude brought on the show?
I watched Temple of Doom for the first time last night. I’ve not seen this one but I doubt it’s worse. I suspect anyone who says otherwise is blinded by nostalgia.
Hey how about a spoiler alert 🚨? You said spoiler tapes exist, you didn’t say you were gonna reveal what’s in them!
Why did Ford sign up to this? Does Kennedy have some dirt on him or something? Disappointed in him more than anything else. Perhaps he simply just doesn't give a crap.
Save your money for Tom Cruise next month.
I hate that this is what it comes to for Harrison's legacy of Indiana Jones. I like him as an actor. And I heard that he shed a tear talking about how this is the end chapter for him as Indy.
So sad that they feel the need to pull down Harrison's character, and stomp on it, and presents him as old, weak, feeble and broken. For the sake of lifting up PWB--of all people. They send him off without much honour.
He went along with it for a paycheck. I've lost all respect for that guy.
@@scottw5315 What's worse is that PWB was picked based on Ford's advice. At least that's the gossip I heard from Film Threat discussion.
When did Jimmy Fallon go grey?
By right, Indiana Jones can not die since he drank 'the water of life' in Indiana Jones sequel 3. He (Indiana Jones) can only stays old for many years.....
So it's a movie about a hijacking. The first and last for old Indy. Thanks Phoebe.
The new generation of Hollywood have ruined Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr Who, James Bond, McGyver, Magnum PI, Quantum Leap, etc. Now Indiana Jones. For the love of everything holy, why can't they leave stuff alone and come up with something original.
I find it funny when people imply that disney “ruined” star wars. Like they just forgot about the prequel trilogy. Star Wars ruined itself along time ago.
The best part is none of us have to actually watch this monstrosity. I passed on the last one and this one being made by the Rodent House guarantees I’ll never see this.
Join me, shall you?
Crystal Skull was bad but at least it ended good in the way it ties everything up. Why bring him back, oh yea to make more $$$. Like when the last guest leaves a party only to come back 10 minutes later expecting you to be happy to see them only to leave and come back 15 minutes later.
