World War II, with all the carnage, destruction, and death that occurred, Produced one unintended consequence: the greatest mobilization of global missionaries the world had ever seen. This was true of every country involved, not just the United States.
There is great evil in the world, but great evil has never stopped God. In Philippians 1:12-17 Paul describes how the evil intended for him is being used by God to accomplish good: the spread of the gospel.
As followers of Jesus we have the opportunity, with God’s help, to see opportunities where others only see problems, difficulties, and - yes- evil. All we need are the eyes to see, the ears to hear, and the hearts to respond.
