The word "Father" evokes a variety of responses. For some, it brings feelings of warmth, gratitude, and respect. For others, memories of abuse, neglect, and pain. This is not only true now, but was certainly true in 700 BC when the prophesied child (Jesus) was given the name "Everlasting Father".
A friend once told me, "God is not the reflection of your father. Rather, he is the perfection of your father. What does a perfect father look like? Since this was a title given to Jesus, we're going to look at the characteristics of a perfect Father, as seen in Jesus, and what that means for us in 2024.
