New! Bissell Little Green Hydrosteam Spot Cleaner - Steam Extractor
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 чер 2024
- I have always wanted a true steam extractor. Not just a heated extractor but something that could produce steam and vacuum it away at the same time for incredible upholstery and carpet cleaning. Well... Bissell, the brand we all know for the popular Bissell Spot Clean Pro just came out with the new HydroSteam Spot Cleaner and I am very impressed. I've searched for similar steam extractors and although there are a few out there, they are extremely expensive and you cant even get close to one for under $1000. BUT, with the new Bissell Spot Clean Hydrosteam we get all those benefits for under $250. Is the machine perfect? No, but it does pack in a ton of value and features for the price. I go in depth on this unit and cover everything from testing the unit to talking about the cord length and comparing it to the Bissell spot clean pro to see which one may be a better fit for you... ENJOY!!!

Cabinets are looking real nice and clean!
Thanks for taking the time to make such an informative video!
This a great entry level steamer vac for sure I appreciate you taking the time to review this for the detailers, like myself in the beginning stages, truly a big help knowing to spend my money wisely and avoid buying items that might not be the biggest bang for my buck , awesome !
I was sold the moment I saw that upholstery brush, I can find a million uses for it in my detailing business. I hate having to get my mytee extractor off the truck just for some spot cleaning, and my steamer with brush attachments works great for spot cleaning but then you leave the area wet and have to vacuum or wipe down a bunch. This will be that perfect middle ground for me when it comes to spot cleaning or even full extractions on smaller vehicles! Thanks for the heads up
I have a cordless, upright Bissell vacuum and like the product very much but wasn't sure which way to go for a portable carpet cleaner. IMJOSHV did a great, in-depth analysis of the Little Green Hydrosteam product features, and I plan to buy one as a result. One of the best product test videos I've seen. Good job.
They say the upright Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam vacuum has a hose attachment that comes with it that works just as well as this little green hydrosteam. You should try that out and let us know how it compares.
i have been waiting for this to be reviewed , i have suede and Alcantara in my cars and i wanted something like this for a while , love this channel and what you do !
bought this when it first dropped i love it tbh
That CREVICE tool did it for me! The steam too, but that simple little crevice too is brilliant! I can't tell you how many times over the many years I have been detailing that I said to myself "Man, this would be a whole lot more easy with some type of crevice too for this extractor". As we detailers know, the crevices are where a lot of the dirt, crumb's, grime, etc. collect. Every other manufacturer who makes a hand held (or even a push behind with accessories) should have one of those cool little crevice tools in the box. Even better would have been a slightly more narrow and longer crevice tool! NOW THAT would have been cool! The crevice tools have always been available for the more pricey extractors like the Mytee and those type machines, but never for the small extractors. I will most likely be upgrading at some point in the future to one of these. My daughter just had a baby so I will pass on my old Bissell Pro Heat to her for baby clean ups and spills and I will upgrade to this bad boy! Thanks for posting Josh.
Informative demo! Thank you!
Thanks man. Nice to meet you at SEMA. Will check this out
Dang that looks pretty good! Thank you for showing us this
Matter of time you decided to review it ! I seen this come out a couple weeks ago ! But wanted to wait on more reviewws
The pre-treat of your rug had mind blowing results.
Looks like they responded to user input and fixed the hose storage. The junction between the hose and grip was a known problem on the Spot Clean Pro. Pressure from how the hose was stored was cited as the problem on most reviews.
Very informative review thank you!
Great review. Thanks!
Bro, Great review, I love how you go into detail and cover most; it would have been nice to see a portion done with the bit of head over there to actually see a result and suction quality for this part as well. Agree; the water part before the steam is annoying but definitely worth it in this price range :)
I think it’s a great option. Use it where necessary. Particularly floor mats. Seats you can spray with the right stain remover then drill brush it and mop up with a towel. As a last resort use this.
Impressive review! Thanks!
thank you for the wonderful video! what one is better for cleaning a car. The Spot Pro or the steamer?
thank you so much for the video! I decided not to go for this model as the steam wasnt strong as I wanted
Hey!
Totally a great video,
I was wondering about what pre-treatment chemicals do you use?
the $200 mccullen steamer is about $199 and also has the water spit issue.
this can replace that steamer and double as an extractor. I'd rather have my extractor function on a steamer than on a vaccuum with ripclean because the steamer synergizes well with extraction. With the ripclean you are either vaccuuming or extracting, never both, and you have to figure out the waterline connection for the ripclean. This comes built-in. Adding this to my list to watch for sales.
Been waiting for this one
What did you think of it?
Hey Josh,amazing video.
Do you know if technician choice ceramic spray has a cure time? Also, how long does it last??
Thanks
Got mine on clearance from target for 160. Pretty good deal. Works good. Suction aight. Ngl, it’s pretty and compact.
These are FANTASTIC for new detailers. Awesome they added the hydrosteam feature. For the small capacity clean/dirty tank issue all you have to do is buy additional accessory tanks under Parts for Model 3618 for $33/set. I would buy 2x more of each personally + the sole plate castor wheels! You can hot swap the tanks in & out easily while working on a job. I would recommend buying back up small/large wand tools and their hydrorinse recirculating self cleaning hose tool. I used the Pro version with Superior Products Zap It years ago early on and it paid for itself on the 2nd shampoo job. I paid cash for my heated Mytee 4 months later from the profits. The only downfall to the Bissell models that I didnt like was having to move the unit around alot due to the short hose.
I agree 100% and congrats on the mytee! Thats what i use as well. But like you said, these Bissells are great for the home diyer or for the person starting their business that can invest as much money into a more expensive machine... Get this, start making money, and reinvest like you did!!!
GREAT about buying spare water and extraction tanks!!
The condensate aka water coming out is normal for any steam machine. You can’t go from water to steam unless there’s some water discharged. It sort of the warming up the lines if you will…
Nice video! I may have to get one. Thanks.
Yes thats very true! But some of the more expensive units will have much much less before the steam kicks in. And it seams like this one is an inline heater vs others heat the whole water tank so with those once the steam is ready it should throw much water out. But again, for the price and functionality of this machine its great!
Great review
I bought the spot clean pet pro on Amazon prime days 2 weeks ago for $113.00. That was an amazing price
Yep I saw that! Awesome deal
@imjoshv if i remember right, i think they sell/will sell the smaller carpet.(Model No 1639237
3" Tough Stain Tool) coming soon
Thanks again for the video, I use thinking of returning the heated Bissell that I bought and never and by. Any thoughts?
Great review. I was always looking for an extractor for household use for our dog. What camera are you using for these vids? I need one for my fishing vids
Interesting. Probably not for me, already having a spot clean pro for the car in my weekend warrior mode, and an entry level steamer, but very intersting if you need a 2 in 1.
I have the Bissell Bark Bath. I wish there were more accessories for this steamer to replace my Harbor Freight steamer.
Ayer llegó la mía
Estoy muy contento y todo llegó sin problema
Muy recomendable detallado automotriz Puebla
Es mejor este que el de la marca Mcculloch?
It saves me from having 2 things plugged in at once. The pressure of the steam coming out, you could use that for most of the uses for steam in the vehicle.
I'm sold that there's a steam extractor under $500
Yeah the price is amazing
Nice video! Do you know if the bigger extractor head fits and works in the pet clean pro! I really liked this 5 inch head, I think it'll be easier to clean my couch!
That water sputtering at the beginning of spraying steam is exactly why it has a short hose. Any moisture in the hose (which is at ambient temps) is going to condense from steam back into solid water while in the hose and not moving. As the steam warms up the hose over time, less of that water will condense between trigger pulls.
HOWEVER, this unit is SMALL. Even the Spot Clean Pro has a 1L tank (0.6 gal IIRC) which doesn't last very long. The new unit being even SMALLER than that, putting it on combo steam AND spray will run out FAST and require frequent empties & refills on bigger jobs (let alone carpet cleaning).
I think the functionality of steam being built in is nice and a great feature, but I feel the unit is still too small and just not practical enough for bigger detailing jobs. I really hope I'm wrong, though, as I'm in the market for a small, portable, similarly-sized unit as this.
Seems cool I’ve had my spot clean for 2 years now if it’s as durable as mine then it’s a winner
Yea I’m hopeful it will be since it’s Bissell. The heating element will be the deciding factor
@@imjoshvupdate?
Its good for small jobs, but area rugs just are a pain with such a small unit. I'm gonna grab the upright one they have with steam. It sucks the upright version doesn't dispense steam from the wand, but i know the next gen will likely incorporate that.

How long were you able to work before it ran out of water and you had to refill?
Does the pet clean nozzle fit on the new steamer
You mentioned on your description that there are steam extractors. I'm unaware of any in the mainstream. Can you name them?
What steamer/extractor would you recommend for a mattress cleaning business? something reliable that does a good job.
I had just picked this up last night. Did a quick video on it for TTok.
Nice!

@imjoshv, I'm about to purchase the Bissell Spot clean pro Heat and the Wagner 905e steamer. Would it be better to just buy this particular unit or buy the 2 that I mentioned above? I'm a mobile detailer and my generator is plenty powerful enough to power everything that I have ( Predator 8750) .
Is this machine also the best way to remove mold from car seats? Or do you perhaps recommend a separate steam cleaner?
I assume could accomplish similar result using a handheld clothing steamer followed by the vacuum of a traditional spot cleaner.
3791Z model good or not new launched on August 2023?also have steam function
Me llegó hasta el estado de Hidalgo
Saludos y ahora a ponerla a trabajar

I have it . Its pretty good you can steam the cars interior . Theres also wheels for it and a 3 inch extractor sold seperate
별도의 추출기는 어디서 구매할 수 있나요? 고마워요
Can I vacuum large dirt without rinsing? Suction of dirt like a regular vacuum cleaner?
Might be a stupid question. but is it cold water coming out with the steam? Or is it warm/hot water with steam?
Have you tried it on suede upholstery?
What's the temp of the stream coming out?
I hesitate on buying the Karcher 4001 or this one. Which one you recommend ?
this is a good one .how much is it
I’ve heard that if the steam doesn’t get to, I think it’s 172°F, then, it’s really not sanitizing. Why don’t these indicate the temp on the cleaning units, I’ll never know.
does this put out as much steam as McCulloch 1385 steamer? I guess even if it doesn't, the vacuum is what makes it worth getting.
"it could be a 1 ft cord I don't care" Lmao I felt that its true
Interesting, unlike a traditional steamer it's got to evacuate the water that's had time to cool in a tube thats sucking in cold air while in use, so it happens faster than a traditional steamer. The old saying 'A Jack of all trades, a Master of none' comes into play here. It does its job(s) well enough for the home user, as long as the home user is willing to put the time into pretreating and agitating with other tools. I wouldn't get rid of two functional appliances that are really good at what they do for this, and I'm not sure I would consider it if one were to fail while the other is fully functional and in good condition either. I think if you're a light user with neither a spot cleaner or steamer I would consider it, especially for fresh stain pick-up and places a regular carpet cleaner can't get to to remove and sanitize pet stains. Otherwise, the broader range of things I can do, and more precisely with an actual steamer, separate appliances still makes sense; Cleaning window tracks, bathroom and kitchen sanitization stain and crud busting.
Hey Josh what products would you recommend using this with or without as a deep interior cleaner? plastics rubber and such with ? Have a steamer but having found a good foaming cleaner for interior yet.
I typically use Green Star and Pol Star from Koch Chemie. i made a video on how to foam them: ua-cam.com/video/EhLMSumwNL4/v-deo.html
Just wish the hose was 2 or 3 feet longer. Hope we can purchase a differenct hose for it.
I bought this day it came out
how are you liking it?
Can this clean a flyknit sneaker?
@imjoshv how does the suction power compare between this new one and the spotcleaner pro (regular or pet) for when you have more liquid vs steam?
This is my question, too. That will probably determine which I buy...
Is this okay to use on leather
Josh, what’s your recommendation for a product to restore/protect exterior black trim?
Easiest to get and works great would be cerakote trim coat
i tried emailing i wanted to know if you still do the leather repair? if so give link please thanks

Which little cheap extractor has the best suction for just getting water out of car mats ??
Good question. The dryer the end result the better.
Why won’t anyone say that the stream of steam is slightly warm and there are no wheels from below and the engine blows directly into the floor and overheats.
Would you use this on perforated seats, was afraid that too much water getting into the holes.
on the dry steam setting it would be fine but always be cautious if you have any concern
Yeah, especially heated seats.
When using a foam cannon whats the better choice for an Orifice? 1.1 or 1.0 ?
Btw sorry, i know this obviously isnt a foam cannon review but i was just looking for more of a quick reply😅🤦♂️
it depend on the pressure washer you are using. 1.1 is usually the way to go. Technically a 1.0 would get more but then it will create me draw on the pressure washer
@@imjoshv good to know. Ty!
Anyone else that owns this are you able to keep your hand in the path of the steam for longer than 10 seconds? I let the machine run for 3 mins which the light for steam was on and the steam comes out warm not hot so the machine does produce steam but just not like my McCullough steamer does so it won’t sanitize an area with heat. Maybe I’m doing something wrong or not letting the machine heat up long enough for hot steam. The unit isn’t defective and is working as it should.
Are the attachments from the pro able to fit this ?
No it’s a different connection point because of the steam and water port
You have to keep the head of the cleaner lower than the tank for the full force and no spitting.
Are the attachments compatible with other cleaners?
Not with the other Bissell machines... Because it has the steam port, it is a different kind of connection
This thing looks promising. Not available in Canada yet unfortunately
Hopefully soon… it’s still just getting in stores here
Hello, I ordered the Bissel hydromsteam spot product. What is the difference between it and spot clean pro? Can you help me?
- Well main difference is Hydrosteam has a steam function and the Pro doesn’t.
- Both have the same hose length.
- Pro comes with 2 head attachments different sizes (but can also buy extra attachments)
- Hydrostream has 3 attachments and a self-rinse attachment (think it depends on when you got it or country. Cuz from some videos I’ve seen ppl only got two attachments same in this video )
- Pro has far better suction but I should also point out the Pro is way louder than the Hydrosteam.
I am very happy that you answered😊
How strong is the suction on the hydro steam? I heard it had very weak suction
It’s pretty much the same as the other bissel carpet cleaners which isn’t very strong.
Not the same, the (pet) pro has more suction power, I did send the hydrosteam version back, did not like it.
I guess only time will tell if it's a good product or not.
Yea for sure.. to see how long it actually lasts. But if it’s similar to their other units it’s should be good. The heating element will be the deciding factor
My concern is now the detergent liquid is in steam floating in the air and user breaths in the chemical. So it should now not limited to skin safe but lung safe.
does the hydrosteam have more suction power than the spot clean pro?
No, pet pro, pro etc are doing a much better job on extraction, I did send the hydrosteam version back, suction power is less, and I had issues with the wide extraction tool for carpets, a little pressure, and It did come loose evertime :/
@@martijnvandenheuvel5651 thanks for the response. I see the hydrosteam uses almost double the amps as the pet pro. That’s why I asked. So you’re sure the hydrosteam has less suction power?
@@mirali93 I am sure, because i used both.
Also on the Dutch website from Bissell it says 'medium suction power', in the specs from the pro (and pet pro etc) it says high suction power.
Yes, the hydrosteam has higher amps, because it needs to heat the water for the steam function I guess. Only downside from the pro is the noise, much higher as the hydrosteam.
💡
👍
How do you clean the hose?
Run white vinegar
This or Bissell Spot Clean Pro?
First showing love❤
👍👍👍
Looks like the pre treated area took color with it?
That’s actually the original color of the carpet. It’s just a area rug and it’s right by the back door so it gets a lot of dirt
if it got same suction as its older one then you are better off to investing in beter product
