Listening to this as an 18 year old kid, he had such a cool sound. Everyone was playing it. Hearing it as a 45 year old man is different. You realize how mature he really was.
FR he hits way different when u listen to him when your older... so much went over my head in my youth
Song came out in 2005, if you're 45 wouldn't that made you 26 in 05 ? also i agree his lyrics are so deep.
Your math ain’t mathing fam 🤣😂🤣😂
I also discovered him basically around the age of 15 (think it was "the way I am"). While I actually started learning english outside of school - just to understand his lyrics - I was not able to actually understand his messages until I re-heard them like 20-24 years later. it was cool back then with all his battle rap, his genius insults and stuff he actually made me cry the first time I understood the meaning of some of his lyrics when I "re-discovered" his old stuff
I was 18 when i first hurd this, from there i learned about him and love his music like most, 33 now, and now many if his songs beat his old music yet still he puts most in there place 🫨
This and mockingbird make a grown man like me cry. Always heard them before but when you're a dad shit just hits different.
That’s a fact
Way different 😢
That's what is amazing about music. It can hit different for everyone. Imagine someone who never had parents and listening to this song as if it's directed to them. :|
100% true ;)
100% brother
Eminem is such an elite story teller, he makes you feel every word even if you never gone through something like that personally.
The best English-speaking storytelling in Hip Hop, ever, imho (at least within the "mainstream").
Another absolute slapper by Eminem… and “Space Bound” is an amazing song too
Definitely
100%!
Love is Evol spell it backwards and I’ll show ya
His NEWEST verse….. “Lace It” Juice WRLD ft. Eminem….. talk about an emotional song with a message that the entire world needs to hear.
as a struggling dad to two daughters I just can't listen to Eminem's Mockingbird without breaking down but this song you covered as well as Beautiful or Space Bound hits me right in the feels too.
Hope it gets easier for you & your family!
@@Sunny-jz3dy thanks, that's sweet of you! really appreciate it =') may 2024 be good to you
@@GiftFromGod ❤🙏
@GiftFromGod know how you feel bro I have 3 daughters and 2 sons and now 2 grandchildren and done it all on my own their mother left and never came back never got a reason why
Born 1995 🙋🏼♂️ grew up with EM one thing that made me grow in my younger years is his music ❤️
1994 here. Same. I'm grateful he is still putting out too, forever will be a fan for sure.
Damn.. Every single time I see someone react to this song I get so emotional and I really feel with everyone who experienced the things Em brings up.. I had an alcoholic, depressed dad who suffered from Huntington's disease and had no job from.. Pretty much 1993-on.. But I mostly lived with my mom and feel like I had a good childhood, even if there of course were really tough moments from time to time. Seeing others, like yourself, who clearly haven't had it super easy growing up, react with the emotions shown in this video really has me teary eyed. Thanks for all the fine videos, Lilly Jane. Love from Sweden.
Another Song you should definitely react to is "I need a Doctor". Especially as Eminem is showing Dr Dre his appreciation and also tells us how much he owes to Dr Dre
💯
100% agree banger song a true thank you letter from em to dre and even from dre to em
Beautiful tribute❤
Eminem music can really be a therapy session sometimes. From getting bullied, to losing my grandparents, my addictions, dealing with life in general and now helping me as a single dad. This man been helping me get thru life for over 20 years. He makes you face your problems and demons so you don't bury them and become self destructive. Dope reaction!
when older people tell me eminem is not good i think about songs like this and I just cant believe how ignorant they are to this. This song is so beautifuly tragic even as a teenager it would make me cry. My worst fear is to be a bad parent :/ but great video !
This song will always hit hard. I get chills everytime n when I need a reality check I turn to this song.
Eminem has a lot of songs that allows you to understand his pain and his life, plus it goes to show that he's given up a lot to be one of the greatest in the rap scene with his story telling. he has songs that also connect with fans like with for me cleaning out my closet is one that I've gravitated towards since I was a kid because I understand what its like to have a mother who was never there or was abusive.
Seeing your genuine emotional reaction to this... This is the most connected to humanity I have felt in far too long. Thank you for making this video.💖💖
This is the best reaction I’ve heard to this and I’ve watched a lot. You made me realize things I haven’t caught. Subbed 🍻
Lilly, I feel your anxiety and emotions you have for music!! Your body language is a vibe and says a lot about you!
Classic track, very much looking forward to this reaction Lilly!
I love to hear your perspective on these Eminem songs. I learn something new about one of his songs every time I watch one of your videos
This is one of the best songs Eminem has done, i know it immediately in the back of my head when hearing it, even though it has been years since i listened to it.
This song was a song i always listened to on the bus to school in the morning, takes me back 😊.
Thank you for an amazing reaction to an amazing song that is beautiful and emotional by an amazing artist.
i am so glad you are getting the views and recognition you deserve because you make great content!!!
I’ve watch so many reactions to this song and every time it hits hard always get emotional don’t know why..I just love this song in so many ways ❤❤❤
The thing that gets me with this song is how emotionally charged it is from the very first line you can hear it in his voice and lyrics. Usually songs build up to that level of intensity but Eminem holds nothing back right out of the gate.
I have known this song for a long time, but watching you react to it tonight.. I cried as much as you did.
Omg i love this song. Music is powerful how it. Relates to real life and everything. Another classic from the G.O.A.T
Emotion is somting i havent realy felt ...had so much crap happen in my my life am numb to it but this an mocking bird brings me to tears every time ❤
I appreciate the raw, real reaction. It's a very emotional song.
Thank you for posting this song gets to me every time because my father is an alcoholic I'm disabled and I was raised by a single mother both myself and my sister I'm severely disabled and my mother took care of me for 22 years of my life at this. Point and I still feel like my dad is not there for me in the ways that he could have been earlier in my life because of the alcoholism and I feel like the only person that was really there for me who was my mother is no longer here and I do blame my dad in part for that because it is a lot of work to take care of two children one of whom is severely disabled especially with little to no help this song gets me every time because it brings up those old feelings it's like I can feel this song in my bone marrow every time I hear it thank you for posting this!
Awesome reaction my friend ❤
Eminem writes so beautifully. This is why he is so big everywhere, his music is so relatable. This is one of the songs that gets me in my emotions can relate with the words. Thanks for keeping it 💯. Great reaction
I've absolutely loved em since he came out and growing up with him and watching him grow up and mature as an artist was amazing . He is truly a once in a lifetime artist and icon.
One of his greatest hits❤
I have been watching you for a bit and have never commented but I just wanted to say I absolutely LOVE you're content I have never seen a video I didn't like keep up the good work
Going Through Changes by Em hit hard when I needed it. Must listen.
this is my absolute fav song of his this and mokingbird . hits different man
Eminem has got me through some tough times when I was feeling low I could relate that I'm not the only one stugling he's has helped me
Em with certain tracks peels your layers of your walls back and gets right to the heart & soul to the point you find your eyes welling up because of raw emotion! Music that can do that is the best kind for me and Eminem has that amazing talent
I remember hearing this song when I started middle school. (I'm 24 now) This song hit me hard. My parents are divorced so I had split custody growing up. My dad was navy so i got to seem him when he was on a boat or submarine. When i first heard this song i just lost it. Not seeing my dad to often or my brothers on his side. I grew apart from them and still miss them. Em really had me thinking about them every time this would come on my playlist.
This is not just a song.. THIS IS MASTERPIECE... So Touchful.. Em is the best rapper, and the best story teller in the world..
I’ve had my share of issues with drugs and alcohol, so his songs Deja Vu and Going Through Changes really fuck me up emotionally.
I'm at the 3min mark and have to say your breakdown of this song was explained better than any rea tion I've seen, great analysis.
And thats why he's the GOAT ❤
Castle and Arose are both amazing songs. If you listen to them, make sure you do them together and in this order because they’re connected to each other.
Truly one our great philosopher's!
Many years i been so inspired by Eminem and can relate to so many of his songs old and new. Because of his music I'm a better person 👍
You two made me cry 😭
I'm too grown for this, but you get my subcription 😭😭😭😭
Great reaction as always!!!! A perfect follow up would be I'm Not Afraid !!!!
Eminem is the goat!! His music has been so inspirational for me, to keep moving forward, to not give up and achieve our goals or dreams ❤️
“Space Bound” and “Beautiful” are awesome
Whats the one song you say? They are actually two and they are connected - "Castle" and "Arose". The first and the last song from his "Revival" album. Those two can rip your heart off of your chest and completely smash and break it with a sledgehammer. You should check them out. I promise you, its gonna be worth every single second!
Absolutely have to listen to them together it's a masterpiece in my opinion
This song was written when he was deep into his addiction on drugs and he wrote this thinking he was going to die.... Really shows where the hook came from....
As a trauma-survivor and someone that struggles with addiction and PTSD, it's much worse. For me, it affects my relationships, even my mom, my girlfriend.. Just about everyone! And, I dont know how to change it. I let everyone know, but, I dont know how everyone can handle it. Ir's weird. And, I dont wanna be an asshole, but most of the time I just want to be left alone and ride my motorcycles and do my own shit. I come back every night to what I know and love, but yea, dont ever question me. I love you. Thats really all you need to know!
@Teiegram.-Me.LillyjanereactsTV how we go about that!?
Great impact this songs gave to my life ❤
What Em does best is the double. This is linking both music life and addiction, just like he did with Darkness, the spotlight we give the shooters as well as the spotlight we give artists. He's deep with everything and it takes several times listening to catch it all
To this day this is my absolute favourite song by Eminem. Period.
i love watching people react to this song's official video, its always a good reaction when she turns up at the concert. another great one for reactions is "like toy soldiers"
Seeing you Quiver listening to this song is fascinating. Never seen someone have such an intense emotional reaction to a song.
One of the best
THANK YOU FOR BEING "HONEST "
Sing for the moment has always been my go to Eminem song.
Lol luv ya MissJane. P.S. Em makes everyone ATLEAST feel something, that's why he's the "Goat". Dude could write a whole book that rhymed LMAO you and I r a lot alike. Ngl I cried again after hearing it upteen years later(with you), after that album dropped and it struck me hard both times. It's a gem.
i really cannot understand how you could've missed this deep deep song in this age of times. this song- is one of the biggest stories in his life, and not only his. but i am happy that you found it now. better late than ever. this was one of the songs i grew up with and it still have a deep dark place in my hearth.
This is why Em doesn't do tours cause he doesn't want to miss out on the importance of his family and to not slip back into addictions
The first song that really hit hard for me emotionally that literally msde me feel his feelings has to be headlights.
Besides that ive slways been sble to relate to much of his other stuff as well!
Great reaction 😊😊
Eminem . This song is a masterpiece 🔥❤️🐐🙌☝️🙇♀️👑
Yeah. Marshall Mathers has gone through so much growth and maturity over the course of his life. "Not Afraid" is probably one of my favorites. This wasn't the first reaction from you I've seen. But it's what made me hit subscribe.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, cry every damn time I watch this. So Good
Eminem was, is and always will be the best Rap had, has and will have to give. He is a Genius! And the fact that you open up emotionally infront of us makes me realize that there still are beautiful people out there. Stay the way you are!
And ppl say that they can't relate to em for what he says. The Goat has such a big catalog. The best wordsmith and one of the best story tellers
My first real emotional eeqction to Eminem was Cleaning Out My Closet. I had a terrible relationship with my alcoholic mother as a pre teen when it came out. I related so hard and for the first time felt seen in a musical way. Later on, Headlights also makes me emotional still. My mother still struggles with sobriety and that song often hits close. I love Eminem because i feel like we grew up together, learned together, became better people together, in the same time period, with the same music. Im proud of him.
Keep L ❤ I get emotional too I love your videos you help me through a lot and you know what to say ❤
And after all these songs and the love he showed... and then you see how great his daughter has developed, oh man, that's just indescribably beautiful.
I still know all the words to this song by heart till this day. It's one of my favorites. The song "headlights" or "difficult" are Eminem songs that are really emotional. They are also some of my favorite songs from Em. I highly reccomend you do a reaction to "difficult " in the future, (If you have not listened to it already.) I just remembered you did a reaction to headlights, already. Also, it is not Em but I also reccomend "yesterday" and "the waitress " by slug/atmosphere. Those are also heart wrenching songs that are well written, and really nice songs that tell a story.
nice channel the 1st intro made me sub lol 420 blaze up from ireland
This is such a great song. Like someone else mentioned, Em is one of the greatest storytellers there is not in just Hip Hop, but music in general.
Your reacting to good quality music right here
beautiful by Eminem
This video really made me hug you. I feel like you might needed that
I love watching Eminem reactors, altho i only have about 3 that i actually watch. Gonna add you to that list. My Darling is one of my favorites from Eminem, you should react to that.
So related 🔥
First video I saw from you and love it. That song from Eminem is one of the most emotional ones to me.... "Mockingbird" is also very nice tho.... I like how u react to it... how u sympathize...
Hello! This one touche me particulary when i was young because i have catch all deepness of his combat and all the pain for a child who just want more love from his parents. From my dad personnaly and it's .... emotionaly very strong and all things of this song, the beat, chorus and every verses are so much powerfull to me. I'm very glad for you to discover the real Eminem and all this sensibility not just his hype due to his movie or carreer. This song help me a lot to accept lack of love in my past and i cry again every time i listen it, like know. For me it"s his best emotional song but if you d'ont ever listen "Cleaning up my closet" that's another one really deep song too. Thank to Eminem, may force be with you and with you too Lilly 💪
I love your videos
I still remember the first time I heard this song and it still cuts deep. I don't have kids or anything like that but I felt that
Edit: Between this and Mockingbird...damn
I really appreciate how much of your feedback and thoughts on the song you give without rambling at all. This is one of my favorite channels for Eminem reactions.
Speaking of which, I highly recommend "Fine Line". It's one of the most introspective songs he's ever made, plus the wordplay and rhyme schemes are nuts.
1st listen to this what an emotional song while I can't relate, I can feel his pain and regret and I see why this would resonate withpeople, great reaction. What a song! Ps when are you coming back, I love your reactions especially Metallica!!
this song was the song that tore me apart.....I'm a huge fan so i love all his songs but I also relate to a lot of them. the song that you do next "like toy soldiers" is another that had me in tears only cause the story behind it proof was never supposed to die and that one messed me up. but the reason this song hits me the hardest is because both my parents suffered from addiction and not just mid addiction for awhile for both of them it was extreme my father went off to prison when I was 9 and my mother never quit but she did try her absolute hardest to keep a roof over our heads and feed us and clothe us, she worked 3 jobs to do so my mother was always an amazing person who loved her kids she just suffered and ill never hold it against her cause I always had what I needed. unfortunately dec 1st 2013 the addiction became a true rarity when it became to much for my mothers body and we lost her. My father had been out now for a good 8 years and clean the whole time and he's still clean to this day 21yrs. but the loss of my mother broke the family no one on her side of the family speaks to us cause they all blame me ad my brother. me and my brother also went down the wrong road for the longest I should have been dead 20+ times and I'm grateful that it was never my time but in the midst of addiction the crazy tells you that that was some good stuff so you go get more and the cycle never ends. vie been in and out of jail 18 times with 6 felonies on my background and 5 prison visits and now because of it life is hard its very hard but i stopped trying to be at the helm of my life and I gave away al control to my higher power and professionals who could help me and I made it out. I have been clean now for 5 years 2 months and 11 days and they are the best and some of the hardest times of my life but ill never have it any other way cause now i know I'm not a slave to a substance and i can be a voice for others. 3 years into my sobriety I caught covid and was put in a coma and on a ventilator for 2 months my family thought I wouldnt make it out but my brother kept saying after everything he's been through this wont stop him and I woke up after 2 months and a week under. I will admit during recovery from covid I wanted to use so badly to take the pain away but I always reminded myself nothing is worth being a slave to a substance and the pain will go away as long as I fight harder to push through it, so instead of the 6 months PT they project it took me 4. it takes dedication and a lot of will power to over come these things I'm more grateful then I've ever been today and much more humble because I've been at rock bottom "though everyone's is different" and I've made it out life is still hard at times but the thought of using has never been relevant in my mind when I make decisions through life and its just amazing to know I've been through the things I've been through and to say I'm still here to annoy people 😝 so much more has happened in my life I've left out but the life of addiction leads you to places you wouldnt fathom and you would think are only in movies so take it from me and don't do drugs or drink alcohol. thank you so much for anyone who has read this post I love y'all. Eminem is the goat. thanks for the space to place my mini biography lol.
Love the pentagram choker~
I've just watched his 2022 induction into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. He was a huge part of me growing up and I still believe that he is one of the best rappers of all time. Not just because of his popularity, but through his lyrics.
Mockingbird is another Great emotional song by Eminem, I hope you react one day 😂😂😂
Bless you, child.
He is speaking truth for EVERY parent especially dads that struggle with being a provider and missing out on being a parent fully, even to the point of being the source of pain for the family. What choice do we have though, who else is going to provide?
Please don't stop with the reviews but yes Eminem definitely has the bars to help a person up or let them realize!!
honestly this song and Haleys song are my top 2. Such great story telling.
Eminem is the GOAT 🙌 My musical idol 👌 He's stil incredible to this day
A have specialty with this song go on the web to find it for multiple days.A whas on my work and the song did hit me so hard that forget a was on my work.A love this song you can really hear his emotions in his songs and that its what a love about Emimem his somgs its not pure be tuff and strong but so emotion its in his songs and indeed he stay true and you can relate to him.
This song hits way way different now then it ever has. I just got my 8th year sober from heroin and meth Jan 6th, 2024! I went from a drug addict to General Manager working my way up the ranks of different companies and I was so wrapped up in my job and my career that my son told me” Dad you rather be at the restaurant with your employees then be home when your supposed to. I’m 33 and I just think if I don’t show up then I don’t have a job or this house or anything that he wants. I’m internally struggling on my position at work. Do I step back and take an assistant manager position so I’m home more often. I just don’t know anymore. Days I spend in my office 11-12 at night in tears because I have to get this schedule posted but I’m so exhausted from this 18 hr shifts ventures I go on but I have so much to do in the Resturant I feel.
lets get it. forward we march
Rock bottom on the slim shady ep when I was 17 It tore me in half and headlights just topped that feeling as I can relate to every word :( give them a reaction .
To me that’s why he’s considered my goat referring to what you said about him at the end. The way he can destroy a beat lyrically but also write such deep and meaningful songs.
