Both my parents grew up in that shit. They gave me a wonderful childhood and supportive upbringing. When my dad died of cancer right after i turned 21. Both myself and my mother drank ourselves near to death. No one is immune. Just put one foot in front of the other, and remember. You *can* always asks for help. In the long run no one knows what they're doing.

Specifically though, and I don't think this track gets enough credit for just how good it is, but his song Legacy is time and time again my reason to push forward in life. It's such a good "Being the outcast to growing into owning the outcast role in life and just being you" track. Easily my favorite track from MMLP2
I thank you for your reaction. I can say, that for me, though it doesn't deal with my mom my emotions from this song stem from my father and my grandfather. My grandfather though I loved him I also in some ways never had a great relationship with. He abused me. Well my father when he was a kid himself was also abused. My grandfather and and my father didn't get along. Then me and my father drifted apart for 8 years during my teen years. During that time and even before those 8 years it wasn't a happy or safe time for me dealing with my grandfather. Even my grandmother was beaten by my grandfather. She took a lot for me. But me and my father just like Em and his mom we always drift and have bitter arguments that are so senseless. For years I wanted closure and a real apology from my grandfather. One time he said sorry but he was drunk and had no recollection of it and still acted stupid with old habits. Then suddenly he was murdered and his death is unsolved. It's been ten years now and I swear for ten years I feel like I have never had real closure. So this song hits me soooooo deep and it hurts soo much that I don't want the tears but they fall anyway and it hurts to breathe 😢. So your reaction is refreshing to see. Edit: update, what's crazy too is his birthday is next month on the 28th but he passed away a few days after my birthday in October. So every holiday season is a rollercoaster to say the least. Funnier thing is my father's birthday is a few weeks before mine

I can relate to them so much as I don’t have my parents, 3/4 grandparents, and a brother and sister who passed, but I know that I am lucky to have my other brother and sister, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The rest of my aiga (family in Sāmoan)! Lost Mom, Dad, and Sis to cancer. Grandparents to old age except one had dementia, and a brother to s*i*ide. All very hard. I their love still exists in my heart so that helps me through everyday! And hopefully it helps you as well! You are amazing and don’t forget that! Positivity outshines our demons! I almost always have a genuine smile on my face because I am at a good place in life with a loving and amazing wife and beautiful kids! They have made me feel whole again and I am thankful for that! Edit: update, what's crazy too is his birthday is next month on the 28th but he passed away a few days after my birthday in October. So every holiday season is a rollercoaster to say the least. Funnier thing is my father's birthday is a few weeks before mine

Songs like these get to me too! I love your reactions they genuine and pure! I can relate to them so much as I don’t have my parents, 3/4 grandparents, and a brother and sister who passed, but I know that I am lucky to have my other brother and sister, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The rest of my aiga (family in Sāmoan)! Lost Mom, Dad, and Sis to cancer. Grandparents to old age except one had dementia, and a brother to s*i*ide. All very hard. I their love still exists in my heart so that helps me through everyday! And hopefully it helps you as well! You are amazing and don’t forget that! Positivity outshines our demons! I almost always have a genuine smile on my face because I am at a good place in life with a loving and amazing wife and beautiful kids! They have made me feel whole again and I am thankful for that! Same with my 2 dogs!

I’m Sorry that You had a terrible up bringing that’s heart braking to hear. I lost My Mum to Cancer nearly 11 years ago. The song of Eminem that has got me throu a lot and helped me deal with the loss of Both of My parents at a young age is Not Afraid and there is a few others as well. Once again I’m So Sorry for the pain You went throu as a child and still to this day. Ems music has helped me throu so much. ❤❤

I'm sure most people from single mother homes can relate to this to some extent, my mom wasn't an addict as far as I'm aware but she was always emotionally manipulative and even abusive at times but I know she also loves me and I still love her

I wanna say, this was by far one of his most emotional & to heart songs he had did at the time, which caught everyone by surprise. It hit home to so many people I think as well as it hit home for me & obviously you as well, glad you were able to talk about it.
I don't know if it'll hit hard for you, but it hit hard for me when he released Castle/Arose which I think you should react/listen to next. They are very hard hitting songs & they are played back-to-back & it shows how even if you're at your lowest, you can still overcome & be the best person you can be. At least how I interpret those two songs.
