I attended one of these performances. Phillips has real stage presence and a lovely (if not huge) voice and tons of musicality! The Caesar, forget who he is, was great too. Boston Baroque always does a good job.

@@dddevchonka Думаю, тут знают как и что исполняют. Художественная значимость произведения не опреляется созданием технических сложностей для ее исполнения. Петь можно и в 10 раз быстрее, что будет, в 20 раз сложнее. Но это не значит, что это произведен я приобретет бОльшую эстетическую глубину. Просто замысел композитора и интеллектуальные достоинства барочной музыки не всем дано понять.

Ну нет, это еще не высшая лига. Медленный темп убивает Генделя и дает возможность "сачковать" певцам. Послушайте в исполнении Maria Bayo.
