I love this watch, actually originally ordered the Murph - really love the look of this on paper but was slightly drawn to the coop as well… On receiving the Murph something didn’t quite work for me, it didn’t pop… After looking at it for a couple of days in all different lights I actually sent it back and exchanged it for the coop model, absolutely no regrets, The dial is stunning in all different light settings, and although the lume is not as good on this watch as on the Murph, I find the watch incredibly legible - overall more so than the Murph! Also whilst not the most expensive bracelet, I think at the price point this is excellent bracelet, comfortable, smart and I love the fact it has a proper clasp rather than a ‘butterfly. Also happy to recommend Jura/CW Sellors that you mention in the video, I’ve had several happy experiences with them myself!
Great comment thanks. Yes I’ve seen the Murph come out since and I personally thought it needed to be 38/39mm to work. Interesting. Thanks for taking the time to comment. The ⏱👨⚕️
Wow. The great things about this channel is that when people comment about how good they find a watch, I’ll wear it again and enjoy it all over through you guys. Thanks 😊. The ⏱👨⚕️
I have a Jazzmaster with ETA 2892, which is incredibly accurate, and yesterday I bought a Khaki Field Aviation automatic with H30 and an 80-hour power reserve with a blue dial. Hamilton watches offer a lot for their price, which justifies their purchase.
Well it’s definitely a pilots watch as it falls into the flieger design architecture from the original a flieger and b flieger designs. Pretty easy to see how this is a pilots watch(?), it’s a big piece in spite of the 42mm width. The dial takes up so much of the watch face it has a deceptively large coverage on your wrist. Lots of presence. Definitely try it on before buying if you have wrist that’s less than 7”
Mine is 7.5 and it’s on the edge of being too big for me to be honest. Maybe the reduced Murph might be more right for you size wise. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
Just a suggestion, but having owned the watch for over a year it would have been good to have your experience on things like the robustness of the watch, has the crystal survived knocks, how accurate has the movement been, how much does it gain or lose per day, when taken off do you lay it down flat or crown down or crown up to balance the accuracy, the kind of detail I can’t get from reading a website and looking at images on Google. Cheers
Hi. Thanks for the comments and suggestions. Maybe I’ll do a living with for three years now as that’s how long I’ve had it. I lay mine crown down. The crystal has survived very well and looks great still! For three years old I’m really pleased. Not 100% about accuracy, but doesn’t need resetting much at all. I’ll take your suggestions into consideration. Great ideas though. Thanks very much and Merry Christmas. The ⏱👨⚕️
@@thewatchdoctor no worries. I just received my Khaki Aviation Pilot yesterday. I love it. It will be my everyday watch from now on. Good size and the lug to lug is perfect. So far accuracy is really good, but see how it settles in as I wear it.
Correct. This watch has been around a long time. This is the newest version with the H10 movement with 80 hr power reserve. The watch was used in the movie but not made specifically for the movie. The Murph was made for the movie as a prop in 2013. Movie was released in 2014. Actual production watches didn't hit the market until 5 years later.
Just bought this recently. No regrets. Photos and video do not do it justice when the light hits it certain ways, just like you mentioned.
Yes love the indices and the split hour and minute hands coming together then they pass each other. The⏱👨⚕️
Bought mine two years ago during my sophomore year of college. Totally killed any urge to get a new watch as it's so perfect for me
It is an amazing watch. I love mine too. The ⏱👨⚕️
Wish that could also do that to me 😅😄
Acquired mine about 2 weeks ago. It is a fantastic piece.
Fantastic watch isn’t it. Really classy. The⏱👨⚕️
Nice job on this! Subscribed! J

I jus had to get both!
I like this watch so much that I bought the Blue face version too.
Oh wow. I don’t think I’ve seen that. I bet that looks amazing. Thanks for the comment. The ⏱👨⚕️
Its a stunning watch. Got mine with black leather strap and loving it.
I’ve never thought to put mine on a leather strap. I must just do that this weekend. Thanks for the comment. The ⏱👨⚕️
I’ve been wearing mine for two years!

Mine's coming in a couple of days hopefully, bought it for my 18th birthday, can't wait :)
Happy Birthday. It’s an amazing watch. Especially if you enjoyed Interstellar. The ⏱👨⚕️

Totally agree. I have the Murph, which I really should review soon and love the Field Mechanical too. The⏱👨⚕️
I love mine. They’re so good looking
Yes. Really underrated I think. Very classy for the price. Great for business or as a dress watch. The ⏱👨⚕️
Got mine last March at the beginning of the Pandemic!
Beautiful watch isn’t it. Really love mine. The ⏱👨⚕️
Very nice review. I asked Hamilton and they said the back crystal is mineral
Ah is it. Thanks for the info. The ⏱👨⚕️
Can we change bracelet to a leather one easily ?
Yes. I used to all the time before I sold it. Thanks for the comment. The⏱️👨⚕️
I am tempted to add to my collection. I'm struggling with how it is a pilot watch
I think the Fleiger design is there but obviously changed somewhat. Love the way the light hits the applied minute markers. The ⏱👨⚕️

How would it look on a 7 inch thin wrist?

Hi Doctor tanks for the Review. A question: wich its your size wrist, I really Like the Hamilton but I have a 7.5 inch wrist, May I used?
Hi there. Thanks for the comment. I’m 7.5 too 😊. The ⏱👨⚕️
@@thewatchdoctor Tnks and my best regards
Hamilton was very meticulous when they designed this superb piece.
I absolutely agree. I love how it catches the light on the applied numbers. Very well thought out. Thanks for the comment. The ⏱👨⚕️
How big is your wrist?
Mines 7.5 inches. Thanks
This is the 2nd generation of watches. The original model has a full rotor. That doesn't change the fact that it's a great watch.
Oh thanks for the comment. I had no idea. The⏱👨⚕️
