- The Boys Season 4 Episode 4 Reaction! Episode 4x4 gave us some more insight as to how Homelander was raised. It was truly messed up to hear all the things he had to endure. It's no wonder he turned out the way he did.
Sage and Firecracker execute their plan and Firecracker exposes all the dirt she has on Starlight, which in turn causes Starlight to lose it and confront Firecracker. Which gave us a 1v1 that was televised for the world to see. Now her image is ruined and it's revealed that that was Sage's plan all along.
This episode titled "Wisdom of the Ages" sees Homelander return to the laboratory where he was born and raised, only to torment and slaughter the workers. He also reunites with Barbara, the only lab worker he ever respected, and locks her in a room with her associates' corpses; Homelander gleefully leaves.
Daphne decides to take Hughie's father off life support, which will kill him, much to Hughie's chagrin, while Annie meets with Singer to assist him if he promises to take down Vought. Hughie and Kimiko meet with A-Train for V in an effort to rescue his father; A-Train accepts and leaves. The two are then ambushed by members of the Shining Light Liberation Army but manage to fight them off.
After Butcher is reinstated in The Boys, he and M.M. blackmail Firecracker into telling them about Sage's plan but fail. Across the Starlighter Campaign building, Firecracker delivers a public talk, organized by Sage, to discredit and provoke Annie. Firecracker leaks Annie's medical records, causing the latter to brutally beat the former, further worsening her reputation; Singer cuts ties with Annie. Frenchie investigates Firecracker's trailer, but is attacked by Ezekiel. Butcher intervenes before blacking out, only to find Ezekiel brutally mauled. He later follows Hughie while he receives the V from A-Train. He confesses into having taken V to cure his illness, to no avail, pointing out his bad idea. Hughie visits his father only to learn V has already been injected, waking him up.

Scooby doo 2002 James Gunn Scooby-Doo Live Action sequence and Scooby-Doo Mystery Begins and other Scooby-Doo Live Action franchises you guys should look into
It's a good movie and you probably Laugh Your Butt Off
Man, I'm speechless! Anthony Starr doesn't play Homelander. He IS Homelander.
Spoiler alert. Butcher is now a Natural Supe meaning the worm inside his brain is curing him. But Butcher doesn’t know that he has powers and they’re indeed different than when he took temp v and he is wayyy stronger now. So the worm is basically his handyman 😂.
Hi Media Knights! A good horror film for your list could be *"Mausoleum"* from 1983. If you can find it, can you react to it? Blessëd Be!
I'm gonna say it again, but being near Homelander is the scariest scenario ever. You never know what he's gonna do next.
Facts! Homelander straight up gives us chills!
Just stand your ground and you should be fine.
@@tauceti8060the last lady from the lab tried that too, it failed...
@@gerbenklompenmaker9956 Well, he didn't technically hurt her.
Making the guy force jerk off was wild😂😂😂
The moment he started torturing the second guy in the lab, it went season one terrifying and uncomfortable and i loved it
They dialed it all the way up! Loving how much time we get to spend with Homelander this season.
Way scarier then season 1. Homelander is WAAAAAAY more unhinged than any previous season. In fact that is the entire plat thats been set up and explored this episode.
@@baronn9809 Nah homelander here REALLY reminded me of season 1 homelander. That was always the most tense season. I remember just that once scene of homelander scanning the van with frenchie in it being fucking terrifying.
Unpredictible homelander is best.
@jonnyj. That wasn't homelander that was just the situation. S4 homelander might do something villanous in any scene he's in.
All he did was called you squirt. Went beyond revenge. Jeezus.
Last Homelander Smile Was Literally saying " I Just Gave My Humanity Up 😉"Now Just Unhinged...
Things are gonna get even crazier! And what the hell is going on with Butcher!? seems like his parasite's got super powers 🤣
That’s why Barbara was scared. She wasn’t scared of homelander killing her or them. She knew what kind of person he was. But she was scared because now homelander seems unhinged now.
@@OfficialMediaKnightsButchers parasite might just BE his superpower, like Zoe’s. Might be why hers were shown in the previously on 🤷🏼
@Drummer4President Good call! Maybe it’s a side effect of V? Some people just grow a parasitic looking super power. Can’t wait to get answers!
@@OfficialMediaKnightsWasnt That Head Popping Supe? I was so confused😂
I feel like a train is going to die but if he doesn't I like to see him join the boys and fully redeem himself
Yeah I feel like Homelander will soon know. Either he will smell hughie's smell on him or see the missing V
After what he did to Super Sonic, I don't think he can 'fully redeem himself'. Like, perhaps if he's crucial for the death of Homelander but even then... Idk
Would love to see a redemption arc! But sadly...this is Homelander we're talking about. I think ultimately it's gonna take the rest of the 7 plus The Boys to take him out. I just hope they don't kill A-Train. We're quite enjoying his arc this season.
Yeah, A-Train definitely has heart 👍
😂
I think he's going to figure out the sage brain thing, tell it to The Boys and then die
24:26 guys, we're seen Ezekiel use his stretching powers every season since season 1
I know right. He’s been in quite a few significant scenes.
That's right! It's been a minute! We spaced out. Thanks for letting us know ❤️
@@OfficialMediaKnights ur welcome 🖤
Just finished watching this episode, hands down one of the best episodes of the entire series and Homelander was absolutely phenomenal in this episode, especially with THAT scene being a full-blown psychopath 😈😂
Can’t wait for Episode 5 🔥
This was a fantastic episode! Holy sh*t Anthony Starr gave an incredible performance. Next episode can't come soon enough!
@@OfficialMediaKnights can’t wait for the next episode either, this season is so crazy already and we’re barely halfway through it 😂🔥
Making the guy Jerk off and then blow his dick off was wild😂😂
one of the best episodes in any tv show, its def up there with twd 7x1 and bb 5x16
Homelander's smile at the end....... Seriously, Antony Starr was born to play Homelander.
Tfw you realize this is the first time we saw Hughie and Kimiko work together
Vs A train in season 1
With this show, there is no "too far." There's only "not far enough."
Compound V has unpredictable results in adults. In one episode of the Boys diabolical, it saved a cancer patient's life, but it also gave her cancer superpowers.
Butcher accidentally has a symbiote now? That's fookin diabolical!
Yeah ! We don't have venom's parody in Boys
Sage around here playing chess while everyone else playing checkers - setting up Starlight while getting Firecracker whooped, two birds with one stone
😂😂
That synced reaction at 21:31 was perfect. It made me laugh quite hard.
22:56 Huggie arc becomes full circle. From translucent to now. From meek to hard core. All roads lead to this.
Imagine being trapped in that room, she's probably going to go insane and die of dehydration if nobody knows she's down there.
They would find her 200%, the laboratory is supervised, and the rescue team would go down there for sure.
@@vitaliyred622yeah it’s supervised by the director who is locked up. It’s a secret lab otherwise. Hence them freaking out when the elevator was being used.
@@AzulApe well, she has to report to someone, they will figure out that something is wrong there. Like they research supes, ANYTHING can go wrong and there HAS to be a rescue team coming for her withing 1-2 days.
This show is getting so much. I get so overwhelmed with this season so far. But i cant stop warching it. Its like a Double edge sword.
The boys has always been taking Ls but something BAD is gonna happen. Its such a strong vibe since A trains safety is at stake including Homelanders sanity is a burnt piece of thread holding an anvil of insanity
@@ROYALCONJUREMUSIC with the gore, violence, sex and drugs we got from the past season, gen V and all, this season I am the most unease becasue we are getting way to emotionally invested in our characters now and we dont know which one(s) will die.
It's crazy how the more off putting part of this season (atleast for me) is unknown.
And considering this season is part 1 of the epic conclusion it’s safe to say it’s only gonna get worse until the very finale. They’re gonna leave us at a very f***ed up place by the end of this season aren’t they 😭
@OfficialMediaKnights eeeeeew you saying that makes me think the ending will have a "minus 1" aka what's worse than rock bottom, then season 5 will be the "part 2" aka the rebound and regrouping.
I'm not ready for this....... 🫠
@@OfficialMediaKnightswaiting a week for the next episode is tough, but to wait for the final season for a year or two sounds almost unbearable
Definitely the best episode of the season so far and easily one of the best homelander moments. THIS. This represents to the true meaning of a supervillain. Those people in the lab are the definition of “fuck around and find out.” Cuz Homelander did not forget.
I think it’s safe to say that Homelander is easily a Top 5 villain of all time
Not even close
1 Darth vader
2 Joker
3 Thanos
4 T800 terminator
5 Lex luthor
6 Magneto
7 Hannibal lecter
8 Michael myers
9 Sauron
10 Palpatine
@@jamesrevere2992meh, those are iconic and some of them are amazing but no one comes close to Homelander imo
@@gerbenklompenmaker9956you are extraordinarily wrong lol. Yes, saying “imo” does not save you from being wrong
@@jamesrevere2992 we're talking about opinions, so there is no right or wrong...
@@gerbenklompenmaker9956So if your “opinion” is that murdering innocent people is okey, you cant be wrong just because its your “opinion”? Use your brain 😭😭😭 “opinions” can be right or wrong
the first time i watched this i thought, "huh, barbara witnessing her colleagues get killed seems not as brutal as the other guys HL killed", then i saw the lasered hinges, and realized that because they are in a top secret facility, she will be trapped there until she died, surrounded by mangled corpses... and that F*Cked me up, i had to take a break after that
Lasered hinges? Didnt notice that, sharp
It's unlikely she didn't mention to *someone* that's where she was going, but the show rarely (never?) shows people in situations like this and have them survive.
"omg he's a supe? mr fantastic powers?"
He was in Season 1 as well... :P
First episode: he was the one in that Supe sex club
Fourth episode: Hughie blackmailed him by saying Ezekiel played his butt like jazz, with poise and skill and a willingness to improvise
That's right! Damn! It's been such a long time we spaced out on it. Thanks for pointing it out 😁
@@OfficialMediaKnights Fully understandable, it has been a very long time after all ^^
After this episode, I think it is safe to say that Homelander is what Magneto would have been if he never met Professor X
He never had an emotional anchor the way Professor X was for Magneto. Either he still has time and Ryan helps him stay “sane” or Homelander will completely snap. This is gonna be a wild ride.
That Lobotomy scene hits different
Everyone guessed it, but damn that was hard to watch lolol
@@emosam07I find it hilarious how through all the show, I had no problem eating and watching through all of it, the bodies/heads exploding, the…holes, the gasms, but the Lobotomy scene is the one scene I had too look away 😂
If you notice homelander let Barbara away with calling him John. I feel like she was the only besides butcher that isn’t afraid of him. Stan and vogelbaum are already out the way. But yeah she wasn’t scared of him per se. She only got scared when she realized homelander was now unhinged and what that meant for the rest of the world.
Homelander’s maniacal laugh, damn. Why do I now kind of want Antony Starr to be the next Joker lol
Anthony Starr can make being pleasant THE most terrifying thing EVER. He deserves all the awards going.
Hey guys. Actor Donald Sutherland (President Snow, among many other roles) passed away. This is very sad for all of us because all of our favorite actors from the 70s, 80s, and 90s are going away, one by one. Sad day for the cinema family 😭
This is my new favourite episode.... The Homelander stuff made me sooo fucking nervous. I felt uneasy the whole time. and the rest of the episode was Amazing as well. Shit really starts to hit the fan
They took the time to set up this season and now they are going wild with it! What a phenomenal episode...truly. Anthony Starr better get nominated!
@@OfficialMediaKnights I think we may see homelander snap completely this season. Just going of the rails and laying waste to entire citys
The Deep at least use an alt account to write this stuff what if homelander sees this
This episode was amazing. Even beyond the gore, the dichotomy of Homelander and Hughie dealing with forgiveness was amazing. Homelander's insights into why he is who he is are always great but this was especially good . Sage is becoming crazy enjoyable to watch and the scrrrraaaaaaape scene was horrifyingly good.
The stuff with Homelander in this episode was like a straight up horror movie. Hands down some of Antony Starr’s best acting yet
Homelander has took the crown as the funniest for me, this season def has the best laughs of the bunch. so ridiculous : D
How does Antony Starr not get an Emmy on this episode alone? This facial expressions are more acting then most do with their entire body and voice.
How would he get an Emmy for an episode that was released less than a week ago?
This was such a great episode, can't wait for more, and your reaction and discussion guys, on point!
The writers nailed the evangelicals in this episode. You can do just about anything but if you "confess your sins" and say how it's brought you closer to the lord, they eat that shit right up.
Homelander just gave us the joker laugh. Thats insane
These writers are so creative, really original. That frontal lobotomy scene... I couldn't watch it and couldn't look away.
I think my favorite part was the full song during the closing credits. The Deep is such a terrible singer, that's what makes it so great. 😂
This episode should have been titled, hurt people -- hurt people. It's the trend all through The Boys and Gen V, these supes grappling with whether to do good or bad after a childhood and onwards where they've been hurt in some way, and the normies also dealing with how to tackle the loss of a girlfriend, wife, purpose, agency, etc.
One of the best episodes so far man 🔥 they didn’t hold back. Love yall channel
Absolutely agreed, we have been loving how they don't hold back!! Thank you so much for the support, we appreciate you!
This is a dark side of Annie we never saw before. Shit is getting more and more serious with each season.
“Homelander could just murder them in cold blood”
Me: “Yeah but he likes to play with his food too”
Denise 1 second later: “Yeah but sometimes he likes to play with his food”
😂😂😂
It's obvious Hughie's mom gave his dad the V, you can tell by their reactions. I think she did it because Hughie doesn't love her like he loves his dad and she wanted to save him for Hughie. My question is, did she already have some or did she notice Hughie pocketing it when she walked in and then pickpocketed it when she went to hug him?
She definitely took it out of his pocket.
Yes. She earlier mentioned that she was working at vought
@@marvelthor3571 FOR Vought... selling essential oils. Unlikely she'd have access to V doing that. Unless that was a lie, of course.
to me, this is one of the best episodes in the whole series
Butcher's definitely having a Venom moment wherein that worm in him is the symbiote that also causes his split personality.
Firecracker’s meds are so interesting. They’re usually for nausea from chemotherapy. I have to wonder where they’re going with this.
That fact that this show managed to make me root for friggin' Homelander is something else.
I love your videos keep up the good work
Been the hugest fan of Antony Starr due to his amazing role in Banshee. If he does not get a nomination for his performance as Homelander, that's a straight-up crime.
petetion for anthonys stars emmy!
We’d definitely sign that petition!
Just to give you some trivia, a friend of mine told me that Hughie in the comics was based and drawn in the likeness of Simon Pegg.
Janice didn't know whether to clap or not after seeing that closing scene😂
This episode was absolutely legendary I can’t wait to see where this goes Homelander was literally more unhinged than ever and the twist with butcher was absolutely insane 🔥
They’ve got some explaining to do when it comes to Butcher! What the hell is going on with that parasite inside of him. Did the parasite absorbed the V? We need answers!
Wait, you guys don't remember Ezekiel using his powers in the earlier seasons? We've seen him use his power quite a bit when he's been on screen.
It’s been a minute but now that you guys mentioned it we realize we’ve seen him before ❤️
@@OfficialMediaKnights I knew he must've skipped your memory haha. And Homelander this episode was actually terrifying.
13:01 I literally yelled that’s why you always put your forks down 😂 had to whip out my forklift certification right then and there 😂
LMAOO hughie needs some safety training videos 😂😂
I can't believe Butcher is an Eminem fan, he got caught with that Venoooooom
I’m commenting before I even watch this reaction but I just wanted to say that you two are an absolute JOY to watch. You guys never fell to make us smile and come out with the amazing content!!!❤️🔥 i’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Denise, you are absolutely the most beautiful!!!!❤️🥰
You guys warm our hearts! Thank you for your kind words ❤️ We are thrilled to hear you've been enjoying these 😄
I love Ashley lmao. You have to be at least 75% crazy to drop a growler in Homelander's toilet and leave it for him. A-Train and Hughie making amends was actually pretty great. I think in that alley, Hughie and A-Train both realized that neither of them is the same person anymore and they're just carrying a grudge on behalf of their respective ghosts.
I think the thing in Butcher is his cancer that has been weaponized by the V that he took. He might be like a cross between Deadpool and Superman. This could be the way that Butcher gets to kill Homelander.
By linearizing what happened in the previous chapters, to base them on the fourth episode. As a whole, he manages to symphonize it very well in a precise and managed way. In the characters of Butcher, Hughie and Homelander.
and its results of human support, desolation and criticism!!!
If Antony Starr is not nominated for an Emmy this year something is wrong...
Homelander's transformation is complete. He allowed those people to control him because he wanted love and approval. This was redemption from his perspective as he finally did what he should have done at the start, he shed the humanity that prevented him from being free from Vought's control and now he's ready to show the world just how powerless they are to stop him from taking what he wants.
Carvel???❤FUDGIE THE WHALE??!!! I used to get those for my birthday almost every year all the way up until High School!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
I thought about the cake being poisoned. then I realized: too merciful for someone like homelander
Feckin hell I missed whatever was crawling up Butchers back when I watched it. Got some serious RFK J'r vibes now. Lol
The Boys could give us a hard R rated Venom, finally 😂😂
But if the tumour did become sentient and is 'helping' butcher that doesn't change the fact that it is killing him right?
This show keeps getting better & bettter each episode & also weirder!! IT'S AWESOME AND I LOVE IT!!!!
If Frenchie just has V lying around in his office why does anyone have to take the risk of robbing Homelander?
My anxiety was through the roof when A-Train was at Homelanders place. Felt like Homelander was goin to show up at any moment and murder him.
This episode was wild and the performances were all fantastic
Anthony Starr needs to get nominated after this performances. This episode alone shows how incredible he is.
The parallels of Homelander and Soldier Boy run deeper than we realized. Both horribly tortured, Homelander craving to be loved, his father fighting to hang on believing the supe he loved would save him. Soldier Boy's dad calling him a f#cking disappointment was clearly seared into his mind and Homelander driven to be perfect and not disappoint only to have Soldier Boy, bitterly call him the same thing.😳😞
Man i love Deep so much, he's such a messed up character!
I was lowkey waiting for "EVERYDAY I WAKE UP, THEN I START TO BREAK UP, LONELY IS A MAN WITHOUT LOVE" when Butcher woke up 😂😂😂
Haha love it! That definitely looked like it was Butcher’s third persona 😂
What if Butcher's parasite makes him like Venom??!
Hughie's mom gave his dad the V. She works for Vought ;)
We've seen Ezekiel (the stretchy man) before in season 1, he's the preacher who gets blackmailed by Hughie in episode 5. We also saw in episode 1, in the supe club Butcher takes Hughie to.
When Starlight beat the living crap out of Firecracker was justifiable because she stepped across the line like Charlie Murphy said habitually and she is a habitual line stepper
You want to know something horrible?
- As ADHS Patient i was treated ALMOST like HOmelander.....there is always something wrong and only the authorities can fix it (thank you, west)
If you have watched the episode of the Boys diabolical you will understand his powers, basically In a nutshell his powers are similar to Venom except he cannot control it but the parasite controls him he's also a bit like Moon Knight
Once legend said "Villains are not born they're made by evil society ".
It could be that the Compound V has made the cancer itself a parasite. Kinda like how movie Deadpool described his mutant power as super cancer.
I feel like sage is getting revenge on vought for getting rid of her as a teenager and she is putting everyone on certain paths so she’s not a suspect and by then end of the season sage isn’t joining the boys but she is gonna bring down vought. For the longest she was figuring out how to but then Homelander shows up at her door step and says hey join the seven and that was a ok she needed. I think A-Train is either gonna die at then end of season by redeeming himself or ends up joining the boys. And Starlight is gonna kill Firecracker by the end of the season
Antony Starr is such a good actor. Homelander is terrifying
BUTTCHER is TURNING INTO VENOM !!!!!!! the temp V gave him cancer .. He used real V after it .. however the canner got the Real V and not him .. so he buffed the Cancer with V .. so now he has Super Cancer that wants to live ... VENOM !!!!!!! (edit) .. or could Carnage !!!1
You do not want to be alone with him in a single room you know who I am talking about
2:04 I love that he brought them a Fudgie The Whale. No one who offers you sweets would ever do you any harm.
9:05 I don't know that any character in Entertainment History has had a better facial expression than Butcher's Insane Grin.
9:40 The moment we stop being concerned for these people, because they're clearly already dead.
13:00 That's some shoddy forklift-safety protocol right there. The forks should be fully lowered, or tilted forward on uneven ground.
Ezekiel (stretchy arm man) has been there since season 1 it's just been a long time since he came on screen
Its easy to forget that Hughie is battle tested against supes.
We're at the halfway point of season 4 with the 5th season being the final one for The Boys. After the end of season 4, I expect a season 2 of Gen V and maybe some other Boys offshoot. But I have a bold prediction for the final episode of season 4. Homelander will die, killed by The Boys and a group of supes led by Solider Boy. The anti-V virus might be used which could also killed off most of the supes in the world. That would give us rather weird season 5 but I wouldn't be surprised by ANYTHING they will do on this show.
So now we know Butcher is a Supe, but the question is. What's his power?
Awesome reaction of my favorite The Boys episode!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊
This one was pretty wild huh! Thank you for watching!
Sage's character is IMO the most interesting this season
She's a supe supremacist like Homelander, but is clearly disturbed by the racism and general idiocy with Vought. I'm 95% sure she knows A-Train's a double agent and is actively choosing not to turn him in (remember they used to be on Teenage Kix together)
I think she'll die this season, either after Homelander finds out she's keeping A-Train's cover, or after she's just a bit too brutally honest with him
The stretching guy was in the first season i never renember Frenchy being into dudes he was into Kimiko.
I just realised, deep is cheating on the octopus 😂
I wonder what the penalties are for a Hippa violation in the world of vought/supes 😂
So much setting of the table with matchups/conflicts.
Starlight & Firecracker
Kimiko & Shining Light girl
Frenchie & Colin
Hughie & his mom
Butcher & the parasite
Homelander & humanity
That was Comp V (blue) the green one is Temp V.
Homelander's whole purpose here was to kill John, like how Vader killed Anakin.
Darth Homelander.
15:57 This whole deal is such a perfect play on how Evangelicals justify supporting certain convicted felons, and a cadre of truly nefarious sycophantic underlings.
19:42 Homelander is really mining new depths of "crazy" in this one, but given his history, it's increasingly difficult to blame him entirely. They literally created a Monster.
24:32 I love this for Firecracker, she is such an amalgam of racist Right-Wing Harpies. At least Stormfront was a funny Nazi.
29:55 Sage is fast-becoming one of my favourite characters. I would hope that she does a Face-Turn at some point, but this isn't really that kind of show.
35:00 Upon reflection, I figure Mom dosed him with her own supply. She already works for Vought as a snake-oil Avon Lady; makes sense that she might have a line on some of the Good Stuff.
Loved this episode ❤❤❤
Hope you guys watch the rest of the alien series I feel like homelander was inspired by a character in them acting and personality wise if not its crazy how similar they are
