I missed youuuuu! I've been working with oil pastel on yupo paper with watercolour. I would love to see you play with this style. P.s. I always do the scrrrratchy scrrrratchy in honour of you 😂
That would be such a cool challange, to just take a piece of paper out in nature and try to find stuff to make art with (maybe a paintbrush too for fairness lol)
I kinda like how much you complain about how bad it is but still crank out a stunning piece every time. It is relatable to me when i struggle with music equipment at a gig… but we make it WORK
Creativity is not throwing a live chicken out the window! You'll never make her fly that way, Blackbean!! But seriously, you made it rock! The piece is still GORGE!
Creativity is not for the weak! I have missed being grabbed and carried over to your workspace, so this video is very, very welcome. And I have to say, it is a testament to your skill and talent in how you can take challenging and subpar art supplies and create something so beautiful out of them.
Sad to see them go. I used to use them when I worked as a caricature artist at Busch Gardens. They were not crayons, but did break like them! They didn't need to be sharpened, but you did need to wear them down in certain places to really make them usable. They were cool as I could cover a lot of paper quick.
They are actually color pencils without the wood casing not crayons that may be why they don’t feel creamy like the Caran Dache. Love you’re artwork and channel❤
Creativity is waiting around the corner with a net. Honestly, you may have struggled with the materials but the result is superb. This is top notch illustration.❤
Ok, I’m a first time viewer and I was SOOOO confused by camera choke… I had no idea what was going on LOL AMAZING talent and I’m glad I found the channel
Wow‼️🤯🤯🤯 Thank You So Much for trying these & making this video, I had NO Idea! So these were Prismacolors answer to people who were (at the time) saying they needed larger Colored Pencils, ones that could easily cover a background, or lay down a base color in all the needed areas, before you started in on your main peice. So they literally are just the core, center of their Colored Pencils, but on a large, block/stick form. Calling them, "Woodless Colored Pencils" is actually pretty accurate. 😁👍🏼‼️ I had no idea that they discontinued these & had promised myslf to get a set (as many as I could) when I had the funds. This really saddens me. But I'm *Shocked!* at how **Dry** & **Scratchy/"Crumbly"** they are. (Yeah, maybe it is the age of the items, who knows. 🤷🏼♀️❓) Hearing that they are like the *Horrible* Prismacolor Scholar Pencils, Wow! That's really upsetting. =-/! (Tried those, **Hated** Them. 🤢‼️) The only suggestions I have to help you out in using these things, well, it's for any colored pencil artwork. **1.** Get paper that has a good "Tooth" to it, either have it be, "Cotton Rag" GOOD Quality, or with these, since they are SO **TERRIBLE** I suggest using some of your ROUGH Pastel Paper. That (more like a FINE Sand Paper) "paper" has enough tooth to Eat Through colored pencils & might work VERY WELL for these things. **2.** You could try soaking the ends of these color sticks in oil for a bit befor applying, this MIGHT work. **2A.** You could try blending with oil (I use Baby Oil) or even Hand Lotion. (The hand lotion WORKS, *Well*; BUT I found out it's NOT Archival & will Disintegrate after 15 years. 🤷🏼♀️‼️ Sorry‼️) **3.** You could try blending with Rubbing Alcohol (I prefer, esp. since it's safer) or "orderless" paint-thinner. (Lachri Fine Art, she uses that & swears by it. Never used Paint Thinner, oderless or otherwise myself, just not comfortable with it. BUT She says that when you use it, use such a *Small* amount that your brush almost looks dry before applying it. It's that small. 🤷🏼♀️‼️❓🤷🏼♀️ So you apparently don't need much at all, but that's for "average" to smaller size paintings with *TONS* of Detail. Not the HUGE stuff your doing, so again, 🤷🏼♀️‼️ I donno. I don't mess with paint-thinner. Also, you **CAN'T** get your fingers in Paint-Thinner; but you CAN in Rubbing Alcohol.) I donno, I hope you & others actually find & read this comment & that it helps as many people out as possible. My Love to You All. 💜🩷😁‼️
3:33 Maybe 30-some years ago, I bought a fancy pack of artist's Prismacolor colored pencils for $36 (normal brands might have been $2 for a dozen). Might have been 40-60 pencils. Black outside, black (wood?) to the core, top inch looked dipped in glossy plastic of the color of the pencil. They had a plastic flat/matte black box which velcroed shut and flipped open like a picture frame to stand while you worked. I was so thrilled with owning them that i wanted to save them for special art only rather than daily use and ended up not really using them. I honestly think they're still in a box of old art supplies in storage. Last i remember, the box was coming apart, exposing foam padding inside.
I recently learned that mineral oil (baby oil) softens wax... (i think a lot of people use it to fix dry sculpey clay). I'm wondering if you soaked them in mineral oil if it would soak it in and soften it. Or if you could dip them and draw (that would probably end up too greasy to the paper).
Creativity is digging a deeper inescapable hole into the depths of my brain with no chance of escaping into the ✨wild✨again. The fact that you can make amazing art with even subpar material is so impressing, thank you your videos have really good vibes
You are fortunate to find the art stix. They are the same as the prismacolor pencils but without the wood. Artists used them to lay down big swaths of color. My friend uses them in his caricatures which he's been doing for 20 years. He mourned the fact he couldn't get replacement stix. I found a shop that had them and we both got one of each color they had left. So I have 9 or 10. I like them for laying down lots of color, and use on smooth Bristol paper. Beautiful drawing BTW!!!!
Creativity is not having it today! I am always in awe of everything he creates. Truly!!! He be talking about how bad these products are, but he makes a masterpiece every time!!! 😩
I just want to take a moment and say I really enjoy you and your content. Not only do you have an incredible art style that I really enjoy and funny narrations, your art process is so satisfying to watch. It feels so.. freeing? I love how you sketch the big shapes at first and layer so many colours on top of eachother. Point is I love your channel, keep creating!
Creativity is notoriously your domain! There's something about the way you work with colour that is pure, endlessly inspiring magic. Thank you so much for sharing your art.
Creativity is not saying your voice is cringe. I love your voice and your videos! They honestly make me so happy to watch and I always feel inspired to paint after I watch them. Thank you for sharing your art with us. :)
Creativity is not square. I havent used these crayons. It's clear you had to work so hard to get the layers and depth you wanted. I am a Neocolor II 🖍️ girlie 🙋🏻 all the way. Never disappointed in them at all!
Wow that was some intense wrestling with the camera and I loved it! Your playful sassy-frassyness is always so much fun! I learn so much just from watching you blend the layers! Looking forward to what comes next! Creativity is not, if not the eye of the beholder!
I still have my stash from ages ago. Got almost the whole half of the range. Been a fat minute since I used mine but they do work best in many, light layers. They are on the firmer side too. They also do better on paper with a bit more tooth to it. I actually prefer the Prismacolor Nupastels to these though. I recently had a surgery on the abdomen area, so I can’t draw/art in general for a while. Also- creativity is not always fluid. Looking forward to seeing more updates from you again!
Creativity is not an icicle but like an icicle creativity will disappear if not kept in the freezer...with yummy German chocolate cake icecream! Loved the video! ❤
Even when the material isn’t wonderful, you still manage to push the medium to make a wonderful piece. Love all your art and your creativity is not limited to the material use! 🤪
Creativity is not scratchy scratching my brain right now. YES BLACK PAPER! I love your art and I love your commentary, (and I love your fashion) please never stop being you!
Creativity is not ...limited to artistic expression, but rather a valuable skill that can be applied to various aspects of life, including problem-solving, innovation, and self-expression.❤
Creativity is not mild! Also super impressed by the texture and colors you pulled from these crayons even though they were so dry. Totally could see what you were saying about the black and brown but you still made it work! I just indulged in a small pack of the caran d’ache a week ago and they are practically luscious.
Creativity is not for the faint of heart - be bold!! OK so that wasn't funny but it was all I could think of 😅 also, I've missed you!! Can't wait for all the spooky season stuff! To me, it already IS spooky season... considering your struggles with this piece, it still turned out great. I'm guessing you fought with the wax bloom that always is an issue with prismacolors premieres...still amazing tho!
So glad to see you back. Creativity is not being a good neighbor right now. I've never seen or heard of these Art Stix, but of course you made an amazing piece as usual. Caran d'Ache Neocolor II are some of my favorite art supplies to work with.👍🏾❤️
Creativity is not bound to one form! Happy to say I’ve been getting super creative, I tried oil pastels for the first time in YEARS. It’s a dramatic change from the usual color pencils but I’m liking it so far!
I am getting creative today! :D I have chipped away at some vintage-russian-style children's book illustrations because I always wanted to do that and figured why the hell am I not just doing it for myself?? So I made up a little story and I'm really enjoying it. ... a measurement of productivity. Is not indoustrious. By the way I always adore listening to your voice, and I am always happy to see your face. I hope you are moving at the pace that brings you contentment and joy.
Creativity is a matter of not caring what other people think.❤❤. I love your voiceover. It really was a struggle getting that drawing out with those dried out ol’ woodless pencils. But, your final drawing was so cute and the skin sings…I think it’s a beautiful costume and so French! Ooo la la!
Creativity is not interested in a relationship with me at the moment. iykyk 👀 THANK YOU ALL FOR WATCHING! More coming soon!
I missed youuuuu! I've been working with oil pastel on yupo paper with watercolour. I would love to see you play with this style.
P.s. I always do the scrrrratchy scrrrratchy in honour of you 😂
I'm going to adopt you. You are mine from here on out.
That is such a great way to look at it!
*I want you to know that I did a little jig when I saw the notification*
I read "Crayola" and thought you had beef with them 😂😅
Creativity is not open during reasonable hours and is closed on Sunday 😂
It’s always when u want creativity the most , is when it’s close 😂
relatable
Jealous that no matter the materials, you’re still able to create a masterpiece. Creativity is not a pillowcase
I was just thinking the same thing about how every art work is masterful no matter the medium.
This! I'm always inspired by his work!!!
Right? He's all like "This medium is so bad, I can barely do anything with this" while making a masterpiece
HE BACK YALL 🗣‼️‼️
Thank you for still being here! 😊🙏
@@BlackBeanCMS Ofc man, love your art and content!!
Your voice isn't cringy, and your narration makes these videos special.
Creativity is not your friend, it's your co-worker.
You look so Franch
i like his voice a lot!!
@@totakkeagiraffesame! i love the way he describes things; all his silly little comments and - just how talks in a whimsical way ❤
dude i thought he'd have a more higher pitched voice most guys on yt have higher pitched ones very nice change of pace
I swear you could take mud and a few blades of grass and make beautiful art with it. That came out beautiful! 😍
That would be such a cool challange, to just take a piece of paper out in nature and try to find stuff to make art with (maybe a paintbrush too for fairness lol)
creativity is not withheld, it's gifted to everyone, let it flow.
Creativity is not toothpaste.
I think this video is one of those proofs that great artists can do beautiful art with crappy materials. Lovely art. ❤
Creativity is not bound to one socioeconomic strata.
You do not have a cringy voice. Your voice is beautiful.
I kinda like how much you complain about how bad it is but still crank out a stunning piece every time. It is relatable to me when i struggle with music equipment at a gig… but we make it WORK
As a French woman, complaining is a way of living ! So creativity is complaining because life is hard and catharsis !
Creativity is not your problem. Your art Rocks!!
creativity is not forced. Your process is real, gritty, explorative and juicy! Thank you for sharing your beautiful you!

Creativity is not a good enough word to describe the yummy-ness of your artwork. Idk words are hard

Creativity is not a filthy four letter word, it's a tidy ten!
