I don't know if you're familiar with what a heron's fountain is, but that would be awesome out of glass, or a Boyle's flask would be cool too. Just a few ideas
Yo so I want to get into glass blowing. How would u go about putting a design on a beakers neck. Like every video I find is just how to make the shape but like how would you go about say using multi colored glass into a weed leaf in the neck if that makes sense. Or just putting Designs In general
Hey balisong! Agreed. I did mention in the video that bangers should be made out of quartz. To melt quartz you need a much hotter flame and the way to do that is to use hydrogen gas rather than propane. Hydrogen burns way hotter than propane but is always more dangerous. So is working with quartz because you need a better ventilation system than boro requires. Either way, this was a fun instructional video for people wanting to see how these are made. The manufacturing process would be the same for quartz, except for the additional equipment that would be needed. All the best! Sim
Why is this exactly? I know quartz can handle higher temps, but if you just take that into consideration and don't pre-heat the boro too high then its fine... It's not like there's a health hazard using boro, people smoke all kinds of stuff out of it lol
@@quintinspina4270 Hey Quintin! Thanks for weighing in on this. I'm guessing the concern would be that boro will eventually shatter after being reheated and cooled so much. Quartz is much more resistant to heat and also stays hotter longer for smoother hits. All the best! Sim
@@quintinspina4270 Lol true. Borosilicate is made for high-heat laboratory applications. It's a pyrex equivalent so you can take it from extreme heat to extreme cold and it shouldn't shatter or crack.

@@FusingShop I would tend to agree, so it's not like you can't or shouldn't use a glass banger, especially if you can make them for yourself!
