Hi everyone! This is my Zekvir kill on ?? difficulty. I'll walk you through my build, strategy, and some tips and tricks. First off, I tried playing MM for 2 hours but didn’t have enough single-target damage, so I switched to BM for another 4 hours of progression. Here’s what I learned. Build: I ran these talents (it might not be fully optimized since I couldn't find a solid guide online, so I crafted my own. Feel free to experiment with different nodes): C0PAFBU0uAhOaNI6RqWjIx917ZsNDMglgZYLkxCAAAAAAGAAAAAAAzMGGzMzwMDzwwMmZMmZmJzYGzMzMzYmxMMGmZghZMzA Character Info: - Item Level: 613 - Tier Set: 4-pieces - Trinkets: Skardyn’s Grace / Dead-Eye Spyglass Stats: - Crit: 6,980 (24%) - Haste: 15,967 (25%) - Mastery: 5,665 (31%) - Versatility: 1,863 (2%) - Leech: 4% (Ferocity pet passive) - Avoidance: 2,235 (4%) Consumables I Used: - Flask of Alchemical Chaos - Spintershot Silkbow - Any health potion you have on hand Brann Setup: I used Brann as a healer at level 33, with Light-Touched Idol and Amorphous Relic, both at rank 4: - Light-Touched Idol: Heals 40% over 10 seconds whenever I use a defensive ability. - Amorphous Relic: Grants either +20% max health and 12% increased damage/healing or +20% movement speed and 12% haste. Both are great for survivability, dodging, and dealing damage as a BM Hunter. Strategy: - Start by building aggro on yourself, not on your pet: Don’t spam Kill Command early on, and avoid popping cooldowns or lust until later. If your pet has taunt you have to UNCHECK TAUNT by right clicking it - Tank the boss: You’ll want to tank the boss yourself, so make sure not to let him hit your back. Manage your defensive cooldowns wisely, and you’ll be fine. - Save Lust for below 35% health: Since I was using Killer Instinct, which boosts Kill Command damage by 50% when the boss is under 35% health, I saved lust for that phase. Boss Mechanics: - Claw Smash: Always stay close to the boss. Most of my deaths were from this cone frontal attack. If you’re 20+ yards away, dodging becomes harder, so be ready to use Aspect of the Cheetah or Disengage. But do not use Disengage for the frontal dodge! - Disengage: Use it to remove his DOT that slows you, as Disengage will always clear it. - Kick Macro: Make a macro to kick the boss when he casts heals (Regenerating Carapace in P1 and Blood-Infused Carapace). - Bestial Wrath (for cocoon): Save Bestial Wrath for cocoon spawns, it needs to die fast. - Portals in P2: Don’t enter the portals, as you’ll get teleported all over the place. If the boss casts Angler’s Web with portals up, it can pull you from between two portals, so avoid standing between them. - Phase at 58% Health: At 58% health, the boss becomes invincible, so don’t use any cooldowns when you’re close to this intermission. Keep Barbed Shot up during this phase. Tips and Tricks: - If your pet dies, resurrect it while the boss is casting to stay safe. - Always be on the lookout for Brann’s potions on the ground - they’re your primary source of healing. - Also Bigwigs is not accurate for this boss as of September 29 you can't fully trust what it's gonna tell you Hope I was helpful for your let me solo him achievement.
Dude you are the GOAT! I kept dying for hours until I found this! Got prepared using your guide, and killed that bastard in 7th try. Item level 613 just like you. THANKS!
I just started trying this last night. I am a BM hunter, ilvl 630. I am having a very hard time with it. This seems impossible. I think i got him to like 50-55% on my best try. The biggest issue is my pets dying and me trying to res them without getting hit by any mechanics or smacked by him and no time to heal as I am trying to get my pets back out. I feel like since my pets are not taunting, they should not be getting killed as easy. But pretty much every try so far, mid fight, he is one shotting my pets. Then it goes downhill from there.
Tried for 2hrs last night and couldn’t get him down on a 600ilvl Pet kept on dying with one hit, gonna take off taunt as suggested and use the Bran trinkets recommended rather than the DPS ones. Is there any reason you’re using the pet that you are rather than a Clefthoof @samouc?
I can see why Clefthooves would be good for the moments your pet does take aggro back from you it could live a little longer I went for devilsaurs because monstrous bite reduces the effectiveness of healing so in the situation where I forget to kick the heal It would help me recover from my mistake. Both are good choices, ig pet taking aggro back is more random and out of your control than forgetting to kick heal so if you're consistent with kick, clefthooves are probably better. Edit: I just checked and some sites says it reduces healing by 50% and others by 1% at this point idk if it's good or not 😅
