  • This easy chili base recipe is safe for water bath canning and can be turned into all sorts of meals! Don't have a ton of tomatoes? No problem! Use the tip in this video instead.

    Do you have a recipe to can this base as a chili as well? My teenage son eats so much chili and I'd rather make it myself than to keep buying nalley in bulk

    Can I use chili seasoning instead taco seasoning? And if I can, how much is it the same one Cup?

      Yes, you can. Chili seasoning is going to be stronger and spicier than our homemade taco seasoning, so I wouldn't go the full cup. When it comes to canning, you can change up the spices however you want-as long as they are dried, not fresh.
      I would start small. Perhaps a 1/4 cup, then taste & work your way up to whatever spiciness level you prefer. :)
