- How to prevent water from getting into your dogs ears is something that people ask in my DM’s almost daily!
I’m so happy to finally have it up and ready for you! I had it and then it got deleted so I had to film it again!
The simplest way for me to explain this is to use your index finger and your thumb to pinch the ear canal closed while running the water over the ears!
This doesn’t hurt, the dog.
I want to stress that WATER getting into your dogs ears is NOT the cause of ear infections!!!
Share with a dog mom and save for when you’re ready to bathe your dog!
Comment if This was helpful and if you’ll use it on your dog!
They say the moister from the water in the ears can allow bacteria or fungi to thrive, that's why
Not true
@@Bnvivthepetstylistare you a veterinarian
@@blkcat53 what does that have to do with anything. Common sense should tell you that water from the bathing process is able to be shaken out by the dog. Just because a vet tells you something doesn’t mean it’s a fact, moisture can be caused by a lot of things. Not only water
@Bnvivthepetstylist me but I'd tryst the words of someone who's gone to school and studied this over someone who hasn't had the experience and research to back it up
My veterinarian says water in the ear causes moisture to stay down there which grows bacteria which causes an ear infection my dog had an ear infection when the groomer let water get in the ear canal
Yeah excessive amounts of moisture do. A small amount of water from the bath isn’t going to cause an ear infection. Unless the dog groomer is spraying DIRECTLY into the dogs ear with no regard for them whatsoever. Like humans when dogs get water in their ears they’re able to shake it out.
Hey there interesting comment when u said dogs dont get ear infection when water gets inside but why my puppy got esr infections after there first bath ? Im always struggling with my dogs ear infections thank you
Ear infections are NOT due to water from the bath. Dogs shake their heads when water gets inside. If your dog has excessive ear infections this could be the cause of something else
tysm! im a new pet bather and i usually keep myself not spraying much of the ears since i dont want to accidentally get water in them! so i usually use my hand to sprinkle water but this will be so much easier!
Ear infections are not caused by bathing them and getting water in the ears. Dogs will shake that water out and they’ll be fine. Do your job. I’m sure you’re doing fine
Thank u for info.
Thanks
