I’ve been there multiple times. It feels like a vampire lair. I’ve never seen any employee smile there, the place looks like shit and people there are depressed.
Commerce is in a poorish, industrial area of S.E. LA and attracts a lot of degenerate gamblers whom can't afford to be playing in the first place.

Better advice, if a friend wont hop in a car and drive a couple hours to see you when you have a place for them to stay are they even a friend?

Dude i remember when i would wish someone could do a vlog style poker video to help me with my game cuz i was broke lol and now there everywhere! This probably being my favorite. Well done sir im learning a lot !
Great vlog! Really enjoy seeing your sessions, as well as the great ambiance you create with music, b-roll, etc. Question though: I always wonder why high-end poker vloggers don't valet park at SoCal cardrooms. Much easier, plus safer than the parking lot if you're carrying cash.

Number 3: Try and avoid that parking lot after dark.
Played there once and I hated the screens on the table. Very annoying when trying to pick up your cards. The Gardens might have a 5-10 table in the morning.
You should consider TX or FL which has NO State Income Tax and house prices are far more affordable.
But then you have to live in TX or FL….

@@user-xw7cn3ii9o Far better than staying in Cali... I was born and raised in Cali... Grew up in Hollywood Hills and it waS WONDERFUL in the 60's to 90's... I love FL, I visited FL 4x this year and will visit there another 4x this winter.
Why would he move to TX or FL when he plays regularly on HCL? Also, the weather in TX and FL is ungodly hot and/or humid in the Summers (May - Oct).

I stayed at an Airbnb in Montebello during the WSOP that was held at the Bicycle Club in December of 2019. The “room” was not enclosed and a half shared space that was no bigger than a small dog kennel 😂. Oh the memories. It was quite close to both Commerce and the Bike.

Hey Mariano, I've played at the Commerce casino, and I find it a very tough casino to play at--even tougher than the Hustler. It's been going on 18 years since I played there. Just thought I'd give you my $.02 on the Commerce
I played one time at commerce. I had aces vs kings vs queens all in preflop. They held for once haha

The U87 is a good choice but I like the Sony C800G is more transparent.
In fact, the mic preamp and mic room are the most important.
There many mics that sound almost as good as Neumann for a 10th of the price.
Buy a Rode NT1000 and put K87 capsule in it.
Sounded as good as the U87...

Did you even think about the Austin area? We are the Capital of Live Music…the billboards say it. We invented Texas Hold’em. No state income taxes. A poker room on damn near every corner. Doug and company are doing great in Round Rock. Hell, move to the West Side and you’ll be surrounded by half of LA anyway.

I've played both for years. I defeintly prefer the Bike. Much more persanable and cool staff. The Commerce attracts a lot of clowns. Although if you can tolerate them, you can make a lot of money off them. Course we know anyone can just get lucky.
