I do search base content and i love it! But it takes forever to start a new channel and growing from zero. So i have been testing making a new channel, going on a trend to get views and subs. Later on i will turn this new channel into another search channel. Worked great the first time, got monitezed in 3 weeks... Just crazy!!!
Nice, yes search is great but pain in the beginning. Better recommended traffic first while optimising for search. Then later you get both
Thanks for the great info! The one issue I have is when I click a topic or search term, to drilldown deeper, the parameters reset. I just take notes to compensate for the UI of the trends site. Anyway, your explanation or how to conduct the search is gold!

What’s your favourite traffic source? For me I prefer browse and suggested. According to derral eves, who is a UA-cam expert, those are the holy grail of traffic sources. I tend to agree. But starting out a channel needs to be discovered so search traffic is best I find when starting out. I have a search based channel right now but am discovering how to transits over to browse and suggested and the boost in traffic is massive compared to search, what’s your thoughts on traffic sources?
ALL OF IT! I want it all lol. But I target recommended in the beginning while optimising for search so that as I grow I get both. Search brings in stable long term traffic while recommended brings in the first big push. I don't target search so much at the start as changes in the algorithm made getting suggested traffic much easier. Search is just a safer old school recommendation that gurus tell people. But you should be going for all of it.

Is it worth having just 1 Channel dedicated to just trends? Or would it be waste of time because with trends you have all different types of videos on your channel??
You need to at least have a general topic e.g. tech trends. Or will be slower to grow at the start
@@channelprofits yes my channel is about paranormal , alien footage and that kind of topic. I am better to stay in and round them topics when searching for a trend to get some eyes to my channel? ie; the latest Miami alien footage etc?

What do you mean? You obviously need to research ideas and demand for video content properly before creating videos. Never just copy

Well I’ve created an entire course going through that in detail on my website. It’s not something I could just type here. You need to learn how to do keyword and competition research on a channel and video level as well as planning out all content so they work together

do you know of the blue ocean strategy? if so can you make a video on how to use that strategy for youtube so that creators can have the tools to find content types that are in demand but have low supply? id really appreciate it!
Blue ocean just means finding a niche or niche angle that has demand but lower competition. sure it makes things easier but competition isn't a bad thing on UA-cam as it means the algorithm already knows the audience to match your content with. But if you want blue ocean you just need to put the time into research
