The laundry mat is my go to for my washable but not washable at home rugs. They have the big commercial machines. It may cost anywhere from 7-8$ to wash it but that beats dry cleaning prices ❤

I take my rugs and put flat on porch and scrub them rinse then get someone to help me put on fence and let the sun and wind dry them . Smell so good.

I also had varying success with oven cleaner - I guess it depends on the finish. Another method is to use a blow torch then a really good scrub to get rid of the char- it does darken the wood but is good on the gingery tones woods cos it mellows them out.

I do a lot of 15 and I had never consider going to the habitat restore. I watch another UA-camr that goes through the store. I think it’s come shop with me or something like that or come with me. I can’t remember what her UA-cam channel is but I need to go to hours and shop. I had forgotten all about that store. I’m not sure what Washington you’re talking about but I live in central Washington state.

I wash larger heavy rugs at the laundromat in their large-capacity machines, or if weather pemits, I use my power washer and/or carpet cleaner on them.

I loved EVERYTHING... fyi.. When finding Larger textiles @ Ur Thrift Stores... I usually take those to a local Laundromat.. They are equipped with the large capacity washers and dryers.. Even with the price of the wash/dry.. I usually save on the Retail price of the items!!.. As usual... Great Job!!... ✌️❤️😎👍👍

I love the black & white blanket that's a good job was excellent that you got extra money off of it too that was terrific keep up the good work I love watching you like I said we don't have the bins that where I live. We have very few thrift stores. There is only one that I can find anything that I really like so yeah.

For cleaning heavy rugs I just go to the laundromat and use a big enough washer for the job

Great job finding some really nice items thrifting. You work miracles! I do have to say your thrift stores are more reasonable than ours here in Oregon. The prices are outrageous here for used items. I found a 20" black pottery vase the other day (Goodwill) that had no price on it. The sales woman went to get a price and came back announcing 29.99. I just looked at her in shock and said I'll pass.

Those rugs could be taken to those heavy duty machines at a laundry mat. If you have a rug cleaner or want to rent one you could clean it like you would carpet in your home. I guess It depends on where the Restore is located. Mine does not have any high end merchandise and most of what they do have is overpriced.

I went to VVillage yesterday. I had to check to see if I was actually in a VVillage store. I think they thought they were Nordstrom. North of Seattle in Marysville.

The lamp is not my style but I liked the wooden bowl.
Be very careful about boxed appliances. I have purchased and taken back three broken kitchen small appliances. I even opened up the box this last time and looked at it and it looked great and when I got home it was completely destroyed. You have to really take things out of the boxes to get an idea of what is inside I was so mad because it was really cool. It was a mini Dash waffle stick maker, and it was perfect for my camper but when I took it out to go take it out there it was completely destroyed so it went back.
Oh bummer! Good to know! I could definitely see that being an issue with return items.
Some have outlets where you can test.
@@mamacin11 Yes and you can do that at any place, I think they would want to make a sale so they wouldn't mind. My Goodwill does that, my local thrifts shops do and Hippo Consignment (in Florida) does that.
If you stay away from trends you're home won't look dated. I'm amazed that you didn't know what you were looking at in many cases.

Take dirty rugs to the self car wash. Just make sure you have a vehicle that can accommodate a heavy damp rug. Leave out in the sun to dry.
