Although Ishamael and lanfear the two strongest Forsaken I can't see them as a villain compare to aes sedai's who wanted to control rand and his friends. Lanfear says light helps you rand al'thor
Rand didn't do much at all in this finale. In contrary to the books, where he actually fought Ishamael. A bit disappointed because it was the same anticlimactic ending as the last season - like, give us some proper Rand al'Thor! Not loving how much they change from the books (and I'm not just talking skin colors). Part from that, the real strength of this season was Egwenes story arc. Impressive. Great actress!
I LOVED that season finale. But what frustrates me is how weak and invalid they made Nynaeve. In the books she is one of the strongest women channeller and was even the one to discover how to reconnect stilled/gentled Aes Sedais. She is very powerful but for the entire season they made her so goddamn weak?
I think it's for the better, let's be real book Nyn was pretty OP after she managed to overcome the block and highlighting the block is nice if we get a better payoff
I am sorry but I am glad she took a behind seat this season, especially after that catastrophic finale of season 1 where they took rand al thor powerful moment and gave it to her. I am glad that rand al thor shines this season it was about time what was supposed to be the main character and it was treated like a supporting character by the show writers finally is taking his rightful place as a main character.
This is how it was in the books if I recall. It took her a while to learn to harness her power. She's just is strong and not weak just not yet able to access her powers at will. The exact same plot line happened in the books as part of her character arc.
So infuriating, just write your own show with a female lead as the sole saviour of a world from start to finish. Stop ruining another persons lifes work, which was a masterpiece. You take one of the greatest series ever written, piggyback off its reputation and quality so you have a premade audience and then bastardise it beyond recognition. The books have incredible diversity and equality of power built into them... maybe you're too dim to understand that you can just copy them and tick all your woke boxes without fatally compromising the storyline. Perrin doesnt kill Bornhald Rand doesnt get stabbed by the dagger Egwene doesn't free herself or kill her sul'dam or fight Ishamael.
no...and that fire dragon scene was odd..it would have been nice if after he blasted ishamel hia energy turns to red fire from dark fog and took the form of dragon
I enjoyed the first season of the show, and halfway through season 2, I decided to read the books. I am extremely disappointed with the showrunners. The lack of fidelity to the source material makes me want to puke. Egwene did not kill Renna, Turak had an interesting fight with Rand, Moghedien would never dream of battling Lanfear physically, Perrin has no relationship with Ahvienda (he freed a male Aiel), Min, Elayne and Nynaeve helped free Egwene, Min was in love with Rand, Min did not journey aimlessly with Mat, Ingtar was revealed as a dark friend, the horn summons 100 (we don't even get a Hawkwing intro) and not 12 or whatever and the list goes on and on. What is the point of deviating from canon to the point that the show is not recognized by fans anymore? Rings of power had its fair share of problems but I don't believe it was this bad. P.S. Brilliant actors and lovely cinematography.
It's very disappointing for sure. I also have a feeling they are going to change it so that Rand doesn't have three love interests (because it's not politically correct), and probably just give two of them to Mat and Perrin.
she shined in season 1 a lot and they even gave rand's important moment in the finale to her so no she doesn't get to shine in season 2. Rand is the main character all of this supporting characters need to take several seats. As i found out, there should have been a great battle in the sky at the end between rand and ishamael and not egwene acting here like she is on the same level as rand. They are teasing us with rand for 2 seasons, and still haven't delivered! and they are concentrated way to much on the women, and way less on the men. @@mobydickmedown
It would be iconic show if characters looks like in the book. Since woke obligation we dont have so popular show like Breaking Bad or Game of thrones. Too much chaos.
the wheel of time is a great fantasy story but a very mediocre tv show sabotaged by radical left wing fanatics, as is generally the recurring theme with modern day fiction. you will NEVER see the next all time great fantasy series like Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones etc until the woke psychos of Hollywood get booted out of the industry. Yes It was ridiculous She is supposed to be the weakest of the forsaken and Lanfear is many many levels above her as the MOST powerful female Forsaken , yet we have her easily overpowering Lanfear who is suddenly totally powerless against her "spider powers!!!
@@crispycat4852I don't think she overpowered her. Moghedien was already there waiting and prepared while Lanfear was caught by surprise. She did say that Moghedien doesn't want to fight her, insinuating that she is more powerful
@afro_princess1671 no, that was just dumb. Again the show lacks nuance, rafe is so dumb that he actually made a person who is noted to strategize like spider, and somehow translate into spider powers 😂😂😂😂😂
Did Lanfear turn to the Light when she said 'Light help you Rand Al'Thor' or is it just a saying. I'm a bit confused because she was sworn to the dark.

@@brittneyharmon6647 It's about the real story, and how they didn't respect it. Any fan of any book franchise would get upset with major changes to the canon. If it was a franchise with a female lead character and suddenly the televised adaptation changes it, people would be upset as well. Even Lanfear. He definitely knows how to get the ladies on his side.
