My man I'm learning from you what to next. I still working with v2. That in the case trick I'm trying. Now. I've been taking mine out the protection case. Giving it a try. Keep on flying my friend. God bless
I highly recommend this instead of taking the phone out of the case. I was on an undisclosed (but legal to fly) mountain, and when taking my phone out of the case to put into the controller I dropped it, cracking the screen. Had I dropped it in the case, it would not have cracked. I blame Fimi...
Many thanks GM for another great video. I have some feedback for your others on your channel. I recently got the Fimi Mini3 and at first all was well but I changed my phone to a newer version running HyperOS and the Mini3 would no longer connect. I contacted Fimi and since I mentioned I also had the older Mini1 they suggested I try the cable from the Mini1 which works fine. So my old phone works fine on the new cable and my new phone only works on the old cable :) Fimi support though are sending me another usb-c cable so maybe they have some quality issues with some cables. It was handy having the old cable to help trace the fault. Cheers, J
Thanks sooo much! I have a Potensic SE and bout an adapter on Amazon and that’s didn’t work nor did any cord I tested at a local electronics store. Thanks alot
Thanks for the great tips as always. I kind of feel like this one was targeted at me for some reason... 😁 In the future I will try to get better audio for the screen recording and describe what Im trying to accomplish.
A Shout out to you (I should have).. I had some folk questioning the cables and that gave me the idea to do another cable video and them yes.. your video popped into mind and I thought it was a perfect fit. I did try the phone out of the case once and discovered the audio was muffled out. But my case is very rubbery and the sides of the controller really grip it. Thanks again 🤣🤣🤣
@@GorillamansGarage Mine is the opposite I guess. I just tried using the phone in the case, sitting a little low in the controller and it kept slipping out. Had to put the cable end back in the notch again. Cant have my phone falling out while standing on a volcano again.... I think I have my editing program trouble worked out, maybe I can start posting some videos showing interesting places for a change. Then everyone can tell how they could have been better! 😁
Hi. Is there a way to connect a smartphone that has a mini USB plug to the Fimi Mini 3 control??? Since I see that it only comes with a cable to connect to USB C only.
Yes... you can either get a micro usb cable from Fimi (or Aliexpress) for the Fimi X8 Mini V2 or get a micro usb adapter for your phone. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and used that on my Fimi X8 Mini V1.
@@GorillamansGarage Okay. An adapter or change from USB C to Micro USB works then. And no FIMI model comes with this micro USB cable???. Because, for example, the Potensic Atom does come with it. It comes with 3 cables as connection options.
@@arielcor7392 : The earlier X8 Mini versions came with 3 cables. AliExpress even has extended cables for the Fimi line as well. ** I just checked... my Fimi X8 Mini V1 & V2 both came with 3 cables.
Great video. Just wanted to let you know that I was looking on AliExpress and they got some extension cables back in as of 10/4/24. 29cm x8 mini extended adapter cable. Thought it may be helpful.
Also I can fit an ipad mini 6 with the fimi usb c connection on right side. So original short fimi cable is long enough. Not sure why your tablet has has usb c on other side?
@@gimpman1357 True. I had to use the Fimi microUSB cable with a Micro to USB-c converter and that worked fine, until the replacement Fimi USB-c cable arrived.
You are so elaborate in everything you do, absolutely love it❤
Thank you so much!
Informative Video - Thanks!

Hi GM, In the past I have had troubles with the Fimi cables. I ended up buying a couple of spare Fimi cable sets.
Same.
you just saved me another $10 trying to get yet another usbc with top data transfer rates as i thought thats the issue here. thanks!
Fimi & Potensic have the same cable issues.
Good workaround

On my first video of the FM3 I mentioned that as well. I tried the new cable and it was not stable. I also use the old cables. Thanks for the input.

Because it is Android 🤣
Excellent.
How about using your fimi lightning cable + lightning to usb c adapter + fimi usb c to usb c
Will it work?
I dont think using 2 of the fimi cables with a connector will work, as the crossed wires or chip that controls data, will mess each other up.

I just bought the fimi Mini 3 this past week. Anybody have Quick Charge suggestions? It's hard to find a 9-volt 3 amp charger. Thanks
I have always found that Fimi and a quick charge do not mix.
Do I understand it right? Even the factory cable of Fimi X8 Mini v2 is not a standard TypeC->TypeC cable?
yes.. the end that goes in to the RC has been modified.
