Randle is a really great guy, a wonderful father and a tenacious competitor. Few in the league put the time/effort into their conditioning like Randle does - he is a workhorse and Kobe would be proud of what he has accomplished in his career. 2x All-NBA 2x All-Star in the toughest city to play in.

My ceiling for the Knicks this season is as high as the Eastern Conference Finals. They made it to the second round last year and they are a dark horse team again this season. Last year they finished 47-35 getting the No. 5 seed beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round 4-1 before losing to the 8 seed Miami Heat in six games. This season, I say the New York Knicks will finish 51-31, getting the No. 3 seed in the East.

True story: I encountered Julius during my L.A. days - at the Whole Foods parking lot in near Venice Beach. It was his injury rookie year as he recovered from broken leg - obviously he had a cast on and his lovely wife was helping him get out of the car - I briefly looked over and nodded- that’s a big dude - a legitimate 6’9 as you can see in comparison to Kobe in photo - Kobe was listed at 6’6… actually more like 6’7… R.I.P.
