- Ladd McConkey will be drafted highly in fantasy football this year because Justin Herbert will be throwing tons of touchdowns and highlights to him for the Chargers. Jim Harbaugh and Gerg Roman will utilize him well and he will be the number 1 WR in terms of production as long as he stays healthy.
Jim Harbaugh has hired another former 49ers player as a coach on the Chargers in Delanie Walker through the Bill Walsh program. He'll be a temporary coach through training camp and preseason but we'll see if he can be a permanent TE coach for us, I would love that!
Kimani Vidal is a RB from Troy that I've been talking about for the Chargers a lot. He has highlights that'll will translate to the NFL level quickly but with Gus Edwards, JK Dobbins, Isaiah Spiller, Elijah Dotson, and Jaret Patterson as the only other RB options, could the Chargers make Kimani Vidal a fantasy football RB sleeper?

The fact that LM caught 30 passes on only 37 targets is insane efficiency. I think he could easily turn 100 targets into 70 catches this year. That's solid production for a rookie.
The Chargers got a 1st round talent in the second round. What a steal.
Might be taking him as a late fantasy pick.

Michael, as usual great work. I love that you pointed out how often it was open, and the Georgia quarterback missed it and threw to somebody else. That affected her stats, and that may be a contributing reason as the how he feels to the second round.
I no longer play fantasy so I can only hope that Ladd makes this team better, Herbert needs all the help he can get

Great play at the college level. It won't be so easy in the NFL. And no, I am not saying he won't succeed.
I like McConkey a lot. I think the Chargers got a 1st round talent in the 2nd round. Young Ladd reminds me of me. I was a WR in high school, exactly McConkey's height/build when I graduated in 1975. I played one year of JC ball, but that was it. I did not have Ladd's speed. That said, I caution against going overboard with the homerism. McConkey has not even made it through an NFL training camp yet. No rookie is ever a sure thing. The other day I came across a video by a Bears' fan who is predicting Rome Odunze is going to break Puka Nacua's rookie records. Made my eyes roll. It's cool to be excited about rookies, I like the Chargers' rookie class a lot. I personally think they got steals at WR, not just Ladd but the two in the 7th round. But I just caution against building up expectations too high. Didn't have some vids last summer playing up QJ, touting him as a surefire rookie sensation? I personally think QJ is going to make a quantum leap forward this season and look more like the WR we were expecting him to be. But he struggled big time as a rookie, as rookies often do. So I would just dial back the expectations for McConkey as a rookie. That said, I won't be surprised if McConkey is really good as a rookie, just don't be deflated if he doesn't meet those expectations immediately.
Ladd's "Yak (yac) ability is impressive..." Funny, first I thought of the animal just before it hit me that it was YAC. Yak? Is it fast and nimble? Before, dah, it's YAC. :)) But I now prefer the yak ability better, an animal which has a temperament more similar to dogs or horses than cattle. This team should have more yaks this year than before.
Mann, if only LM had KA13 to guide him his rookie season but then we prolly wouldnt have drafted LM if we woulda kept KA13…so many what ifs lol

I personally would have drafted ad Mitchell over Ladd. I do think Ladd is going to be good but I think ad Mitchell will be better.
