    I am fascinated by those vast landscapes of farms in US. So wide and mysterious, beautiful sceneries. Support the farmers in lands and the seas. don't waste foods

      I'm from Iowa, and I can assure you, there is something hauntingly beautiful about farm country in the fall and winter. Especially around Halloween, with full moons on clear nights in late October. Spooky!

    Wow, corn harvesting, that must be a great reason to come to Iowa because that doesn't happen anywhere else. Wow, just stunning

    I'm a southern Iowa boy myself, but my folks are form northern Iowa, and I own a piece of Nickles Family Farm, LLC in Wright County. Where are the silos at 3:10? I drive through the Ames area all the time on my way to Clarion, so I was curious. The Christmas star on top looks familiar.

    Typically aren't the silos pretty close to the farm. It looked like they were pretty far in this video. Do the farmers have to drive a semi a few hours every day during harvest season?

    • @tomparker3722

      +Ryan Deitch depends where your situated, this farm probably covered thousands of acres so hauling would take a while

    • @tprice323
      @tprice323 8 років тому

      Bristles are very big farmers, I can't remember how many acres, but a couple thousand acres or more.

    • @Halo4Lyf
      @Halo4Lyf 8 років тому

      That's a co-op silo. Most farmers will have some silo space on their own land, but nowhere near enough to store their entire crop.

    How did you get past the copyright rules for using their music? I would love to be able to use this song, but they say I can't because of the copyright laws.

      Phil Boyce The ad revenue goes to the record label and artist so they most likely won't have me pull it down. Just need to monetize it and let them take the ad revenue.

    Why do they dump the corn in a giant pile rather than in a silo?

      Nothing..?

      Nothing really does, but there is enough grain that the birds can't eat enough to be a problem

      It's pretty cool stuff, the equipment that they use to load the corn onto trucks from those piles is kind of a hybrid of an auger and a snowblower
