Nostalgia overload! The familiar whine of those 86/7's take me back to my 5 year old self standing at the end of Liverpool Lime Street with my dad. Fantastic video, thanks for uploading it.
Excellent video, pity we can't have the same loco variety today as we did in 1992. Unfortunately Crewe today is just a shadow of it's former glory days, thanks for sharing, cheers...Bill
Brings back many happy memories, does this video :-) It's just a shame I met my missus after most of it had been consigned to history - she'd have loved the variety, with plenty to photograph.
OMG did I see an old 87 at 7:27? 😃This reminds me of Clapham Junction! I worked for 5 years for SWT as an engineer and we had to go to prep train sets at Clapham. Sadly in the years i was there the trains had reached ‘BORING’ status all the ‘old classics’ were long gone just those crappy ‘yingers’ and other awful foreign locos😡 Occasionally we MIGHT see the station pilot a very battered old growler! How I would have loved to have worked there in the 70’s/ 80’s to see quality BRITISH rolling stock🤷🏼♂️😢🇬🇧👍🏻
Passed through Crewe station on the way to / from the Battle of Nantwich in January. First visit in 30 years, the station looked the same as it did then! I expect major changes coming with HS2 though...
Lovely atmospheric cold dark English winter's evening. Great memories.

I remember going to Crewe and the works a few times back in early 70's. It was pure joy for a young trainspotter.
Cracking video, brings back great memories.
Excellent video John

The MK2 in Trans-Pennine livery is an interesting departmental.
Excellent video
Nice. Memories....
"Where have all the shunters gone.... far, far away!"
I actually saw one old Deltic in British Rail livery at Crewe. I thought "Shouldn't that be in the heritage centre next door?"

47513 was scrapped in Rotherham, May 2004.
What would the 47973 working have been?
Wicked vid
wow. Crewe was really derelict back then...
... oh wait.

31285 is still alive
What happened to 47513
where are the pendolinos and voygers ?
they didn't exist then I think😮😮
its 1992
Not built then, this was when it was a proper railway
and as of today the voyagers and the pendolinos are now running here at Crewe as of 2018 mate
What a waste
