I think Norge was an unsung hero. Thier appliances were built SOLID, a nd i mean SOLID!!! I remember a friend of mine took his grandmother's Norge washer when she passed. It took three of us to move it. I'm not sure what year the machine was, but it was one of the timeline timer models. I always wo dered how that burp-a-lator lint filter worked.
Cool how Norge used the agitator vanes to deflect the spin spray onto the clothes. Norge machines were some of the best...especially the 20 LB capacity models.
@@Gsohoover Yeah. Ours was about 9 years old when we got rid of it. The thing was we trashed it for a broken timer knob that would just continually go through the cycles. Hindsight is 20/20. Should have had it fixed because the rest of the machine was still in good shape. Loudest washing machine i ever heard. Ours had the 3/4 hp. motor and 20 lb. Capacity.
@@patcola7335 You just don't know how things are going to change. Now they aren't easy to find. They are super loud machines. I can't hear anything running with this going at the same time.
We had one. It was extraordinarily noisy. My father called a few repairmen and asked them what was a reliable quiet machine. Out with the Norge and in with a GE. A month later the loud Norge Dryer was replaced by a GE too.
Great wash action! It’s sad todays machines don’t hold a candle to these old beasts ! Nothing beats old school

"Knock on any Norge" They were good powerful machines. Just didn't live very long.

Norge was a loud machine but it washed the hell out of some clothes!
The spin cycle is louder than the machine itself.
Cool. He's using the filter this time
Only part of the cycle 😄
Yay!😀👍
OVERLOADED!
Did you finally fixed the pump?
Yes it has been working fine.
