Peep sight rotation problems, and how to fix them

Is peep sight driving you crazy? I know it does! Here are 3 methods to help you get your peep straight as an arrow. You will need a press for the first.
The second one you don't need a press and for the 3rd you get by without if you know the full draw string split method.
Straightening your peep will lead to more accurate shots and also might help for faster shot timing without the need to straighten the peep out at full draw with you nose. We have all seen this and looks ridiculous!

I like that last one. My peep is just very slightly over-rotating so I know adding or removing a twist would be too much. This fix seems simple plus it can be used any time the peep it not quite centered. Thanks !!

If you rotate the string at the top the effect is stronger than if you rotate at the bottom, so if a half twist at the top is too much taking a half twist out the bottom or vise versa may have the desired effect.

I'm 13 and i just bought a Mathews lift 29.5 and I've shot 30 arrows and already have peep problems prob from the string stretching cause its new thanks for the vid!!

Hope it helped. Sometimes the string is bad from the start or just needs adjusting. Its unlikely that it stretched. Mathews uses good materials

they often give a peep sight with a rubber band. what's the difference in using one without a rubber band? I have one with an elastic band. is it easy to change them?

Its a little less accurate. There are 3 problems with them. They torque the string
The pull your peep forward and maybe slightly down. As conditions change so will the elasticity of the rubber there fore change the amount of weight its pulling
They move easier because the rubber is pulling on the peep.
Maybe also more noisy
They are fine if you are not to serious but I would not use it myself

@waynedexter7295 Hi Wayne . You might try twisting it up a few times so there is more twist in the string. But usually if it's rotating while drawing it's pretty much going to stay rotating in the majority of the times. It can either be a balance, serving or twisting issue or all of the above

One big problem. When you rotate one side only like that your changing the timing on your cams. If you add a twist on one side you need to TAKE out one on the other wise.

@@pinpointarchery2125 the bottom string will only twist or rotate the peep only quarter of an inch and that’s usually the fix for most bows. Because the string distance is greater from bottom came to peep the rotation will always be less when you add or reduce the twist
