Loving how they misspelled "recovered" over and over on the packaging. Really adds to that dollar store feel, just like having the marvel logo on Batman's back
I'm still surprised the Hasbro Vintage Collection is STILL the only Boba Fett action figure that's gotten the correct 'The Book of Boba Fett' outfit look and not the one from The Mandalorian season ll when his repaints the armor. The Book of Boba Fett suit is a black jumpsuit without the baggy pants and has a different color to the boots, plus the Helmet scratches have that ding over the visor like an eye scar.
@@RoboDontKnowI’m hoping they will announce an actual Black Series BoBF figure soon. They have Cad Bane, Krrsantan, and Din from that series, but not Boba himself for some reason. Just the Mando S2 repaint armor labeled at BoBF. It’s really strange. The vintage collection one is great, but I would love to see Black Series for it. Also, thanks for this review! The look and accessories of this guy are enough to convince me to buy it. I also have the SH Figuarts and Black Series, but this is the best looking one in my opinion.
I waited for this one but I think I'm happy with the figuarts (just cutted the skirt to make it show accurate) at least that one has better articulation at the arms, we don't talk about the unmasked head tho
I don't do Marvel legends & missed a few group reviews so feels like it's been an age since I saw you review a single Star Wars figure in depth, and this was just like days of old - Great review Robo
Dang Robo... I've been waiting So Looooong for this one and it's... Kind of disappointing to me. First I've seen the Black Series, and it's short and dwarf and somehow out of shape like a creep. Then SHF came and woah, we were on right track, but some annoying errors in aspects and stuff, looking overall somehow dim... Okay, so I've picked up the Bandai Model Kit (2 times) and It's nice... Until there is no better one. Like Mafex I've hoped. So time goes and goes... I've just started to make a 1/12 scale Kit-bash scratch build with hand-sewn clothes and some BS+Model Kit parts, aiming for Hot Toys look. But MAFEX.... After so loooong time passed, how dare you... I'm pretty mixed with the feelings of it now. Hope any better solution comes in foreseen future? Not from them... Then who? 3rd parties are afraid of Disney and their lawsuits... Should I just keep making custom ones until I get desired mix? I dunno... Should I get it? With all those additional fees and 27% VAT? Here where you can't even really sell it?
I just received my AmiAmi payment request and had the same reaction. It's not the most exciting release given all of the other Bobas on my shelf. But as you say. It's a Mafex Boba. I can't say no.
MAFEX Mando is my "expensive" (read: not Hasbro) version of Din Djarin, so I'll probably get this one to go with it, seeing as how I sold my Figuarts Boba with the throne.
Do you think the promotional images of the figure effectively reflects the physical product? I’m finding myself a bit miffed by the helmet’s appearance. My preorder should arrive next week so I won’t be able to properly form my opinions until then.
Medicom seems to be enlarging the scale of their figures I feel.. Mafex Stealth suit cap is definitely oversized and scales larger than the other avengers in the mafex line. Fits more in a legends display than it does an import 1/12th display
Medicom has always ran big in a lot of cases. Rey, Finn, the original Bobas for the most part. But then there's Shoretroopers, Death Troopers, and Mando that fit with Black Series and SHF. It's kinda all over.
13:33 - Without knowing which was which, I looked at the lineup and thought the Boba on the far right looked the best just standing neutral. I normally love import stuff, but the Black Series has really been stepping up their game....
I wanted to get this but the articulation & knees made me say I'll wait for a sell or into I caught up with everything I want first. I'm pretty happy with my figuarts boba's. I'm more interested in how the mafex bo-katan turns out because they beat tamashii to making one.
I'm like you Robo, the Black Series made me want this less. I cancelled my pre-order because I already had a huge order from AmiAmi, so it was an easy decision while waiting for reviews. Articulation on this guy is... fine but what I like is the simplicity to the accessories. SHF Mando scarred me, and I never even owned that figure! Wish Boba's size was better, though. I'm not a stickler for height but it's too off even for me. I might stick to the Black Series.

I’m sorry but I’m a Boba Fett purest. Pre-special edition Boba Fett (with the Clint Eastwood voice). Think the Prequels and Disney did my boy dirty. IMO

There's a Bandai SH Figuarts figure of that look. Still crazy that Hasbro hasn't done one yet though. It's Boba Fett. In his best look.

Really, the tiny 3.75" variants are somehow better in shapes... I'ts just can't happen! O.o

I've received mine today and I can say is an awesome figure, even with some minor flaws.
The paint job and sculpt details are sick.
Mafex's Boba Fett might be larger than in the show because he's a clone and canonically clones are 6 foot.

Tbf, the newest SHF Boba Fett (not this look, the Daimyo look with the throne) is awesome. Accessories are far simpler and phenomenal
