I know it must be a relief to finally have someone listen to you and validate your concerns. Brian you are an excellent caregiver and boyfriend. I have no doubt Nicollete you will have a full and speedy recovery. @@gifted_animalrescuer Nicolette is having flap surgery to try to heal her wound. She has osteomyelitis which is a bone infection she will be on strict bed rest so they decided to get an apartment while she heals

Having a plan is a very good thing. It is amazing what it can do for your emotional state. Put out videos whenever it works for you and I will be happy to run them to the end, give it a thumbs up, and put in a comment every time!

Well, couple minutes into the video and it occurs to me that waking up & getting ready without waking up the rest of the family, is a whole drama in van life. ...ok going back to watch the rest of it.
When the New Year 2024 begins, I pray that all of the surgery and healing time will be behind you. Then you can finally start to feel
better and move forward to all the wonderful times to come. As Nicholette is having surgery and recovery, I hope Brian can keep all her supporters and friends up to date. Of course, only as much information as you, Nicholette and Brian, are comfortable discussing.

SO glad you finally have an plan. I've had 2 flap surgeries. Mine took abt 6-7 weeks to heal with gradual time back up. If you can get insurance to cover and the dr recommend-have him get you in a sand bed. It's an amazing bed to be in to help healing.. it gives no pressure on your wound. Helps so you don't have to roll. So they said no rolling at all? I would worry about making another sore if so. Another reason a sand bed would be the best IMHO. Filming in your room when no one is in there I would think would be ok...No matter- you've got this! Video as you feel up to it. We'll all be here! Hugs.

Omg I was paralyzed in a vehicle wreck and I stumbled across you guys and I have to say from the bottom of my heart thank you both for giving me hope that there is still someone out there that will love me and respect me . I am up walking now it has been five years since the wreck my leg’s spasms I saw on you are same as mine and I too have had a muscle flap sergery ! You are so much more stronger than me mentally and emotionally and I just praise your courage and just wanted you to know your struggles are not in vein nor are they alone . I will say a prayer for you . Thank you again for reminding me how strong we BOTH are ❤

It's a muscle spasm, which can sometimes happen to people with spinal cord injuries. I had a friend with a T5 spinal cord injury and her legs would randomly start bouncing up and down in her wheelchair. It always made people think that meant she could move her legs. It's all involuntary though.
Why are you giving up this peaceful wonderful views of vanlife ?
